Stupid Schools...

Aug 17, 2001, 7:15pm
oh LOL! I used to take care of my class while the teacher went and had a cup
of coffee with his teacher mates... but I don't think classes in word
processing is worth anything, at my school they start it in like second
grade and they often still are clueless years after...

don't be so sure about that ;-)) that football captain that's stupider than
a mule might become a pro player even though he doesn't know his grammar...
so when you're in your tiny cubicle in the accountant dept. of some hyper
corporation the captain will play in the NFL and have frequent appearances
on TV, and make much more money than you...

Back up 'n' running

Aug 18, 2001, 10:10am
NT is muuuuuuuuuch more stable! on my NT server that runs quite a lot (not
hooked up to any network though, only serves itself for the moment lol) I
haven't seen a **SINGLE** crash! Even though some apps have crashed, NT
itself is so stable that it keeps running, you just use the program manager
to terminate whatever app that crashed... I have at least 1 daily OS crash
on my Win98 SE computer (that I use right now), just to show the difference
in stability...

Domain Names?

Aug 18, 2001, 10:14am
I think he wants a registrar, and I think he wants a free registrar but
without the ads (namezero.com for example is free but has lots of annoying
ads)... I don't think that exists, so he should rather spend $10 on a
domain, that way he's also secured a better service, you get what you pay
for...

Object total

that's so that people won't abuse it by looking for secret locations... and
if you used your brain you'd see that it's SSL encrypted, no one can get
your PPW. I'm sure you've used Preston, Chatbot or something, wich is made
by the same ppl, so if you've done that you've allready taken the risk of
giving the authors the possibility to get your PPW. the PPW is for a bot
that logs in to confirm if it really is you. and not all that much can be
done using your PPW, you could just change it for the test and reset it
after you've searched, then you'll be out of danger.

well, FYI it's dead easy to get a bot to transfer info back to the author as
long as you can program. But you didn't know that, huh? now, that utility
has been written by Ima Genius and Faber. They'we also written one of the
most popular bots in AW, the Preston. So, whit them it won't matter wether
it's a bot or a website. Check your FACTS first! (maybe you don't know what
that means, be sure to consult a dictionary, you learn new things every day,
huh?)

yes, but in a court case you'll have less to go on if someone claims they
made it first and that you stole their intelectual property... and it
doesn't look good...

PS. I think spelling is important if you want to be taken seriously, wich is
why I pointed it out... but obviously nobody seems to care about being taken
as a serious person, so I'll just let you be unserious...

well, public building worlds now are often filled with ppl complaining that
there's no land, even though you'll find lots of land if you search real
hard. an eample is Mars, where some folks have started a petition and stuff.
How to solve this? Easy, not be adding more land, but by mapping the world
regularely so people can find land easily. I don't think the community we
have now is too big. But the community of some superb public building worlds
is shrinking all the time, and is allready too small. And I've seen many ppl
say "This becomes boring after a while, I'm not gonna renew" wich can cause
loss to the community because if most ppl do that you'll have less and less
experienced ppl vs. the rest.

very far away, but not further than the moon? uh, I bet it was just a
halusination! often I "see" things nearly right outside of my angle of view,
but these things are creations of my minds because I can't really see stuff
in that direction... oh, and purple of all colours? had you been drinking?
this sounds like the space version of a pink elephant...

Aug 27, 2001, 2:47pm
heh, obviously they've left Area 51, maybe still some guards in the
perimeters... why? because of all the fun they had testing nukes before they
built the research facilities, and now nuke stuff is coming out of the
ground and the scientists sometimes had to flee because of it, so they've
probably built a new secret research facility, maybe inside a mountain this
time so no one has fun taking satelitte pictures of it... and a load of UFO
observations in the area was actually just transport planes with
scientists...

ok, go believe that aliens that have fun making crop circles and follow Star
Trek rules are coming to Earth, but I tell you, they put people into mental
institutions for less... you said you've read about this, but how do you
know that's true? have you been at the site and studyed the plants for
yourself? and lets look at another thing like this, Nessie, the seaworm
thingy in Loch Ness: a photo from many, many decades ago with a dinosaur
like creature with a long neck sticking up of the water (look at
illustration below) was regarded as a real photo, as it was a respected
dentist that had taken it... but just before he died, he told the world that
it simply was a hoax after all, it was a figurine or something mounted on a
toy submarine... this is truly just another case like it, maybe they did it
while those other guys were watching them, and did it just to take some
pics, and it was all a lovely little hoax... your are simply naive if you
believe in it without further evidence...
this is what the Nessie pic looked like:
