you can register a copyright at the patent office. I think it costs money,
so unless you have something worth a billion dollars that would be easily
reproduced be other I don't think it's worth it... to create a company, just
start doing something, and go to your local city hall for information of
this kind, they're there to tell you...

hmmm... have you been bit by a lame newbie recently? a trademark used like
this: MyProductNameT is a trademark, it HAS NOT been registered, but it's
still a trademark. a trademark like this: MyCompanyName® is a registered
trademark, the owner has paid 350USD (if it was registered in the U.S) for
it. that's two types of trademark.

Hmmm... I went trough the lowest cit numbers and I found that a lot of them
are named after character from Snow Crash, and lots of others are named
after other known fiction characters, for example some from the X-Files.
Also I saw that the names would be divided into 2 cits after eachother, so
is this the work of the AWC?

I think we should have an option to set where we want URL's to be opened.
When I click on a URL or link in activeworlds I dont really like the way
that it takes up halve of my screen.
I would much rather see it open in my internet explorer window or have the
option to set where my browser is located.
Would be nice to have the choice of using the internal browser or an
external one.
Many thanks

why is it so bad to point out that he could have been lying?? They seem to

I never said he ***DID*** lie, I only pointed out that he ***COULD*** be
lying... actually, that's valid for ALL statements made by ANYONE, in ANY
case. But most ppl didn't seem to realize that EVEN though it was Rick Noll,
CEO god of the AWC, he COULD have been telling a lie/not-100%-true-thing...
Ergo, I wasn't lying (oh, well, I could've been, but anyway, you could be
lying right now, so that's now all that important)... Have a nice day

did I say they were? I agree that much of the stuff there is very outdated
(heh, most of it is 2000 + years old). But I think that it might have helped
ppl a bit to have sets of rules, you see it in all the big religions. And
also it has given answers to some fundamental questions so ppl could get on
with their business (except phylosophers, and it's the reason they exist)
plowing, selling stuff at the market, etc. Off course, now we really want to
know everything, so we start asking questions and find more correct answers.
