umm how many pixels is an icon suposed to be? i ws thinking 45x45 but im not

The complete set in Windows is :

48x48 and 32x32 with 256 colors
32x32 and 16x16 in 16 colors
32x32 in 2 colors (B&W)

They are held in one ICO file (or icon resource) and windows
chooses the best one for the displayed size and color depth

hmmm... too bad the Borland Image Editor I use for icons only does 16x16 and
32x32 in 16 colors and B&W... anyone have any other icon editors?

ok i made one in 32x32 and it resizes to the right size or something zuase
its the right size...i used PhotoShop to make it and saved it as an .ico

I use the Watcom Image Editor. I have the WatcomC++ CD,
it is an open source thing now so guess it is available
on http://www.openwatcom.org
