no one can sound worse than Eep... I use gnome just as an expression of
thinking that someone is behaving stupidly... as Mike Zimmer said, gnomes
originate from fairy tales and such, and now they are more commonly garden
decorations, true... or they are ppl that behave foolishly in these NGs ;-))
why can't I flame him? he was acting stupidly, nothing better than a fresh
flame to make him come to sense (well, except with the hyper weirdo gnomes
that never change, but they seem to have left/been banned, and hopefully
none will take their place...). if you don't like me flaming ppl (I don't

other ppl write bots for free, but generally out of their own fantasy, and
the bot *THEY* want to write, not the bot someone else needs written... if
you need a special, or very complicated bot, it's just natural that the
author would like to be payed. You don't seem to be a programmer, but I am,
even though I stick mainly to VB (one of the easyer languages to develop in,
also faster to write stuff as there are a lot of "shorcuts"), I do put many,
many hours into the applications I write (including thinking up features,
brainstorming for ideas, etc)

hey weirdo gnome, that site was deleted by HomeStead (WTG HomeStead!), but
from the replies obviously you say Ananas deleted your world (am I correct
on this point?)... now you little coward sit thight in your chair and listen
to me:
DO YOU HAVE ANY PROOF, HEH???? I CERTAINLY Fing DOUBT IT, PUNK! And Ananas
is one of the nicest ppl in AW, he would not do such a thing without
permission! We also know that you made a huge fuss out off a *FALSE* story
about the CNN sending footage from 1991 in conjunction with the terrorist
attacks. And to me it sure seems you're trying to pull a "Just In" on
Ananas, you're following the same tactic as Chuck's Party and JFK2 did on
Just In. Now turn off your computer, sit down and think about what you've
done, and then never mention it again. Then you'll be able to have a decent
life in AW, and be happy. If you're gonna continue your little crusade à la
Chuck's Party, don't expect any respect from ppl in AW. CP and JFK2 have
left and gotten banned from AW. Do you really want that to happen to you? if
not, take to your senses, and retract what you've said.

germanic heritage? do you suggest that germans are a bunch of NAZIs? well,
you're WRONG!!! Because a few men messed Germany around in the past, it does
not mean that the situation is the same now. Germany have done (and are
continuing to do) everything to make up for the horrible acts the Germans
did during WW I/II... no other country has done so much to clear up the mess
they've made... maybe we should dig up all the dirt on the people you come
from, heh? you sound like some Chinese guy, and they sure have done a lot of
horrible stuff in the past... so, you pig of a torturer, racist, wife beater

shut up, you! we don't want your stupid NGs with lots of weirdo gnomes
running around freely, just ignoring them with filters... often filters
don't even work... if you don't believe in reporting to ISPs, that's your

won't do that, they couldn't really care less about what's going on in here

that's why we have flames in here anyway, no one looks after the NGs (Facter

which is understandable as he did the job of several ppl, and now he isn't

3D homepages are nice, but the name is stupid, they're worlds, not
homepages. they could've found a better name like 3D homeworlds or
something. And these nice additions won't change the fact that the leaders

Facter, he defended them to the last second, but he obviously wasn't too
happy about them himself... but he's a nice, loyal guy, and he helped them.

aren't we being a bit naive (as allways...) today? since Facter left I doubt
any AWC employees read this NG (perhaps Lucrezia Borgia reads the latest
threads every month, but...), they won't see your complaint. anyways, isn't
MrGrimm working for the AWC? he sure does a lot of work with them, would
believe he is an employee/working for them. if someone got ejected, it
wouldn't be without reason, and he had all right to do it if ppl were using
faul language (probably were). and being ejected from a world is no big deal
anyway, WE DON'T CARE, you weirdo conspiracy gnome!

You could read the description of the SolServer, it's just a UniServer where
you can have a max of one world. AW is not a plug-in, it's a client
application (just to correct the AWC). You just need to change the stuff in
the start section of aworld.ini (you'd have to distribute a zip instead of
the usual installer). for example, if you wanna send folks to a world called
awexplor at the coords 5s 3e, you'd use this:
[start]
world=awexplor
location=5.0S 3.0E 0.0a 0
also, I think the AWC have made a downloader thingy that does it dynamically
(used on the completion page of the 3d homepage stuff). hope this helps!
:-))

nice! I thought the old site was quite boring, contentless and didn't seem
to get updated at all, nice to see a new and better one! one tiny downside
though: some of the pics were quite slow downloading. and here's a
suggestion for *THE* easyest and, in my opinion, best way of updating the
stuff that's meant to be dynamic: use PHP and MySQL :-)) both are free and
quite easy to learn by yourself!

if it's not in the official HTML standard (available on
http://www.w3c.org/MarkUp/), it shouldn't be implemented in any browser :-))
obviously MS missed that they're not the ones setting the standards in this
field...

MS set the standards for their own products, but they aren't actually
allowed to do it for other ppl's products, wether THEY like it or not...
there are non-commercial, neutral instances made up off scientists and
researchers that are setting the global *OFFICIAL* standards, and that's
just the way it should be. The reason nobody uses NS 4.7 anymore is that NS
6.1 has been available for a while now (I must say NS6 was horrible, but 6.1
really is the *DREAM* browser!)... just look at how sharp PNGs are! IE
doesn't even handle PNGs correctly!

so where does the NG server reside? Nigeria perhaps? come on, don't be such
a fool, the server DOES reside in the US, and the owner company is a US
company. That means this server is under US law.

I know that, just pointing out something else... and explain why laws about
the internet often only are valid in *one* country for the servers that
reside in that country... (that was not to you Andras)

you can stuff more cell data in a P50 than you can stuff in a P10. Cell data
is saved on the host's harddisk, thus your P50 world will use more space
than your P10. And 5 users compared to 60 would make a difference.

what could? the RWX viewer? the point Agent1 proved was that even if it was
a trojan that had fun stealing your password you wouldn't be able to decrypt
it without having the same machine setup as the person it was stolen from.
the password in aworld.ini is encrypted you know, Roland isn't stupid...

in CET you obviously posted this at 8 in the morning, you won't find all too
many europeans online then, most ppl are eating breakfast or heading to
work. and deducting from what time Brant had, it's the middle of the night
in the US... so obviously you've come in a kind of dead period in the AW
day, you'll have to wait a few hours before you get the stream of europeans
coming and yet a few more hours for the US folks to get back on... doesn't
seem like there are very many ppl that use AW outside Europe and the
Americas...
