May I add something there KAH....? Well first of all, they don't need to
install any lines, ADSL uses your current and normal phone-line.
All they need to do is install all of the hardware that your machine will
needand so forth.

Actually, it's not based on medieval, it's based on a counter-earth opposite
of the sun, there are now 26 books in the series written by John Norman all
the way back from 1965, not just a few years ago...
>The rule are very harsh at times.
No rules, it's plain Gorean, and it's always harsh.
>The general gist if you have Free men, masters and slaves...Free Men are
just that..they have no
> slave and arent a slave. The Master is the owner of a slave and a slave
> music do anything the master requires...
Er, wrong.... Masters, Mistress and slaves:
Men dominate the planet of Gor, it is said there was once a war between men
and women on Gor, women lost and the Priest Kings, not wishing to destroy
them, made them beautiful, and for that they would always be subject as
slave to man. All free men are referred to as Master by a slave, free women
are referred to as Mistress by slaves.
Slaves to Goreans are beasts, animals in the books... But don't get me
wrong, as online, slaves voluntarily choose to be so, as online anyone can
simply log out and change names anytime they wish.
> At times Gor can be very sexual or explicit and the only way that they're

It's nearly always sexual, and the art of putting all the wording together
is fascinating to say the least.

No one is missing out, what I suggest is you read John Normans work before a
newbie starts hassling again, his newest release just got published a few
weeks ago, he is working on book 27.

Hi all,
I am inviting you all to the upcoming Community Show Offs, which
unfortunately has not got a set date as of yet. What I need if for community
owners to sign up for the show offs and let everyone know about it!
What are the Show Offs?
=================
* A time of the month where everyone gets together, world owners/town
owners/project owners get up on stage one at a time, and talk about what
they have achieved and tell people why they should visit or get what they
are Showing Off.
What do I get from the Show Offs?
========================
* A chance to get up on stage for 10 minutes and say anything you want to
get people to go to your world/town or get your project. We can display
pictures and logo's for you on HUGE picture signs up on stage, so the
audience can see them as you talk.
* At the end of the show offs, we will have a tour of one of the
communities, either a world or town. Where you will have a chance to show
the audience around!
How long are the Show Offs run for?
=========================
I try and run the show offs once a month, depending on if anyone signs up or
not. But they tend to run for an hour in total, here is a demo schedule:
00.00 - Welcoming speech, talk about the Community in the last month,
news, updates, events to do with the Community.
00.10 - First Community/World/Project Owner will get up on stage and
let everyone know what they offer!
00.20 - 2 citizens/tourists may get a chance to get up on stage for 2
1/2 minutes to spam anyone about anything!
00.25 - Second Community/World/Project Owner will get up on stage and
let everyone know what they offer!
00.35 - General discussion about anything relating to the ActiveWorlds
community in general.
00.45 - Final words on the show offs and a tour to one of the chosen
worlds/towns!
01.00 - Show Offs are over, tour may go on for longer if needed :)
How do I sign up?
=============
Visit the "Show Off" link on the AWComreg website located at:

The universe message doesn't get displayed every time you log into a world.
The message only gets displayed once, when you log into AW... And if they
change the universe message, then you will also see the update...

The new universe welcome message
|
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
I heard about the new universe-wide welcome message that's going to be
introduced in 3.2. Won't this be a bad idea for everyone? Think about it -
you're holding an event and you're trying to get people to come when AW
posts a universe message telling people to leave your world and go to
AWBingo to play. Anyone else think about this?
Hmmm - let's all take a bet. I bet Eep will be the first to be completely
and utterly without tact to a newbie, and wing will be a close second :)
I'd say there'll be about 10 flames. :) They could just post a helpful
reminder :) Just to show you how this newsgroup's going downhill :)
