Tut Tut,
Look at the bottom of The Commonwealths site of the main page for the copyright notice. Its now illegal to use "The Commonwealth" anywhere lol. Hehe-just some fun Leaf [View Quote] wingApr 7, 2001, 1:08pm

You all ask me why I am disappointed with J B E L L and his "service" and so
I ask you this: Activeworlds? or Activeworls? If he can't even make a webpage right, and he is going to host worlds? m a k a v e l iApr 7, 2001, 3:30pm
*Refunds are NOT honored, and we can not guarantee your world's cell data
files are safe from corruption Isn't that something? Can't insure file corruption? That is a bad thing to put on your website, I bet Activeworls (as you put it) can. And also I bet Stuff-X can since they backup to a different drive. j b e l lApr 7, 2001, 3:59pm
*picks the mud back up from the ground and throws it back* shut the fuck up.. it really says something when your little shithole
business can get no one to pay, and mine that is oh "so horrible" has about 9 customers.. so put up or shut up.. fucking newbs... and what the hell does a type have to do with ability to host worlds? at first my whole concept with the stuff-w page wasn't meant to offend people-but now it is.. fuck you makaveli.... don't question my abilities... -- -- J B E L L http://platinum.awjbell.com G O I N G P L A T I N U M [View Quote] j b e l lApr 7, 2001, 3:59pm
it never happens.. but i'm not willing to take a risk.. since i'm not a fucken idiot, and back-up daily as well-but there are also
possibilites.. just wait till it happens to your precious stuff-x and someone sues the hell out of you for giving him/her a faulty service.. -- -- J B E L L http://platinum.awjbell.com G O I N G P L A T I N U M [View Quote] m a k a v e l iApr 7, 2001, 4:51pm
I am not affiliated with Stuff-X. Never have been, but now just to make you
mad I will ask Builderz if I can help out in any way, shape, or form possible. Don't yell at me buddy. "put up or shut up" well, I dont host worlds so I can't "Put up" and I sure won't "shut up" the only reason I got ignorant with you is because of how you treated Builderz when he made his public statement. Bz (As I have heard him called) just stated a very good opinion like most of the people here do and he got totally harrassed for it which I think was wrong. builderzApr 7, 2001, 5:02pm
Makaveli, I am very glad to see you support me and my company, but
please, there is no need for this fighting with J B E L L. I have politely asked J B E L L to remove the "Stuff-W" page off of his website, and he did, in a timely fashion. Yesterday we were talking and in my opinion we seemed to patch things up between each other. The last thing I want to do or want to happen is to initiate another fight with him. Again, I thank you for your continued interest with Stuff-X, Makaveli, but your attitude is not helping very much. Builderz Stuff-X - Bot & World Hosting Services http://www.stuffx.com/aw/ P.S. I don't think we should be cross-posting all of the replies to both the community and worldbuilders groups... [View Quote] leafApr 7, 2001, 5:08pm
Err Wing, I didn`t try to sue anyone it was Builderz. . . . twit.
Good for you J B E L L. If people don`t like what your doing then you have the right to complain. Next time you make a typo makaveli everyone is gonna point that out to you real nice :) Leaf [View Quote] builderzApr 7, 2001, 5:15pm
Just to clarify, Leaf, I never said I would "sue" you. I said: "there is
a very good chance I will seek legal action." "Legal action" has a few different definitions. It could mean to consult a lawyer, send you and/or your website hosting company a "cease and desist" letter composed by a lawyer, OR to sue someone. The suing method is my very last resort and I do not want to even look into it before exhausting all of my other options. I've been thinking about this whole situation for quite some time now, and I think I have reached a reasonable conclusion. I will e-mail you more information this weekend about it, Leaf. And in case you were wondering, it does NOT involve a lawyer. Builderz Stuff-X - Bot & World Hosting Services http://www.stuffx.com/aw/ [View Quote] tony mApr 7, 2001, 5:53pm
This nit-picking is not to be taken out-loud, it is surely meant for
telegrams and email. And for gods sakes, we're only human. It's dumb to nit-pick a spelling error without either smiling or something. -- - Tony M (a.k.a Tony56) [tony at vrunited.itgo.com] "Through Cyberspace, we are Virtually United" "Points to Ponder: If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?" ____________________________________________________________ [View Quote] wingApr 7, 2001, 7:21pm
NOBODY can guarautee against data corruption without lying. Anything can happen. I could back up this news message to 900000000
different drives and theres a small, yet still present risk that they would all go corrupt or otherwise become unusable. Backing up to two seperate drives on the same computer, or even on two computers on the same power network is not safe. Even if both have quintuiple power surge/spike protectors, all five of those could easily be fried and resultingly destroy all the electronic equipment at the other end (worst case, but still possible) [View Quote] nornnyApr 7, 2001, 8:54pm
God, you guys can't get ANYTHING through your heads, now can you? A simple
post to advertise a new hosting service and makaveli (although spelled with those annoying spaces for some reason) goes awall on a typo. Gosh, and I thought Eep was bad. I mean, one personal vendetta turns into a side of wars and friendships. Would you just MYOB and just let builderz fight his own battle? I doubt he would need a newbie to come into the newsgroup and start battling for him. Yes, you ARE a newbie if you are accusing JBell of bad hosting and yet you don't even host worlds and prolly don't even know the first thing ABOUT hosting worlds. And even more so if you admit you're ignorant, which was really a laugh. :)) Whether even you actually know the guy personally online is even a big question, as you just seem to fight for the principles, even though you lack most of them. builderz and leaf can fight their own battle, Jbell can host his own worlds, YOU can just keep your mouth shut until there is actually something that concerns you, like the rest of us. I mean, at least with builderz and leaf, they both have some form of seniority and grown respect from the newsgroup. You just popped out of nowhere looking for a fight from what I've seen. Cries for attention will only get you a public whipping, boy. Nornny [View Quote] xelagApr 7, 2001, 9:33pm
I don't always agree with you Nornny, but this time I do :) This whole

actually builderz get along fine and have offered to help eachother if need-be.. so not even your back-up excuse works.. The Stuff-W
website was not intended to slander Stuff-X or thier staff.. i'm just one of those people who like to make statements.. you can read my little letter which took the place of the stuff-w website at www.awjbell.com/stuffw.html -- -- J B E L L http://platinum.awjbell.com G O I N G P L A T I N U M [View Quote] datedmanApr 8, 2001, 12:00am
Heh I back up to a different machine daily, then every coupla days I back up to tape and my wife takes that offsite pretty regularly.
And just because I am PARanoid, I mirror the hard drives. I also provide ftp access to the daily backups for those who want it. So BASically, there's just no way in hell the data is gonna get lost, but I am worried about it anyway. :) And people wonder why I don't undercut prices... :) [View Quote] > NOBODY can guarautee against data corruption without lying. Wing ... that's what Loss Adjusters are for ... insurance against these
things. A service provider pays its insurance against data loss to cover themselves against legal action from their customers and to get back up and running again as soon as possible without having to fork out for new kit yourself ... out of you own carefully planned budgets. Having said that, with that statement on the web-site, people can make up their own minds whether they want to use jbell's services, although just saying you're not going to cover any losses doesn't necessarily make it the case legally. Screw nukes, a quick little EMP burst would take care of that.

Sure is :) Found that out when we initially put up systemrecall.com from an at Home account for preliminary testing of the server
