Hey all,
Firstly, I'm not the one that wrote this, so I don't have a husband etc
etc... I'm male, as most should know already.

I think Santa Claus is a woman.... I hate to be the one to defy sacred myth,
but I believe he's a she. Think about it. Christmas is a big, organized,
warm, fuzzy, nurturing social deal, and I have a tough time believing a guy
could possibly pull it all off!

For starters, the vast majority of men don't even think about selecting
gifts until Christmas Eve. It's as if they are all frozen in some kind of
ebenezerian Time Warp until 3 p.m. on Dec. 24th, when they - with amazing
calm - call other errant men and plan for a last-minute shopping spree. Once
at the mall, they always seem surprised to find only Ronco products, socket
wrench sets, and mood rings left on the shelves. You might think this would
send them into a fit of panic and guilt, but my husband tells me it's an
enormous relief because it lessens the 11th hour decision-making burden. On
this count alone, I'm convinced Santa is a woman. Surely, if he were a man,
everyone in the universe would wake up Christmas morning to find a rotating,
musical Chia Pet under the tree, still in the bag.

Another problem for a he-Santa would be getting there. First of all, there
would be no reindeer because they would all be dead, gutted, and strapped
onto the rear bumper of the sleigh amid wide-eyed, desperate claims that
buck season had been extended. Blitzen's rack would already be on the way to
the taxidermist.

Even if the male Santa DID have reindeer, he'd still have transportation
problems because he would inevitably get lost up there in the snow and
clouds and then refuse to stop and ask for directions. Add to this the fact
that there would be unavoidable delays in the chimney, where the Bob
Vila-like Santa would stop to inspect and repoint bricks in the flue. He
would also need to check for carbon monoxide fumes in every gas fireplace,
and get under every Christmas tree that is crooked to straighten it to a
perfectly upright 90-degree angle.

Other reasons why Santa can't possibly be a man:

o Men can't pack a bag.
o Men would rather be dead than caught wearing red velvet.
o Men would feel their masculinity is threatened... having to be seen with
all those elves.
o Men don't answer their mail.
o Men would refuse to allow their physique to be described even in jest as
anything remotely resembling a "bowlful of jelly."
o Men aren't interested in stockings unless somebody's wearing them.
o Having to do the Ho Ho Ho thing would seriously inhibit their ability to
pick up women.
o Finally, being responsible for Christmas would require a commitment.

I can buy the fact that other mythical characters are men.... Father Time
shows up once a year unshaven and looking ominous. Definite guy. Cupid flies
around carrying weapons. Uncle Sam is a politician who likes to point
fingers. Any one of these individuals could pass the testosterone-screening
test. But not St. Nick. Not a chance. However, as long as we have each
other, good will, peace on earth, faith and Nat King Cole's version of "The
Christmas Song," it probably makes little difference what gender Santa is.

days. It should only mention how much time online I have spent "Today" or on
the "current" connection, not how long I have been online ever since the
stupid server said so, that's no use.

Well, I personally think it is good to be able to give certain people the
rights to use the special commands. As mentioned on their pages, these
commands can cause "severe" lag if used too much, they drop your frame rate
for every special command you use. So, personally, it's a good feature.

Z Objects are so world owners can, on their own objects paths, set up
objects with the first letter as "Z" and prevent others from using it. IE:
The CY award could even be called ZCY which would have prevented everyone
from placing it all over AW. "Z" makes it special to the world owners, so
you can have special objects for example, GZ, which you would not like the
see those objects used anywhere else in your world...
This feature and the special commands feature, I feel, are great 8^D

I feel the same for this here, the midis and wav's sound really bad. I do
notice it is more in surround sound though... BUT, the quality has really
dropped. I tried playing an mp3, and yes, as you say, the bass is all gone,
including midi files....

Agreed, they should put the beta testing on the website for "seperate"
downloading, and until ALL the bugs are fixed right up, then the forced

<nods> True, they should be advertising as they did, they should allow
special commands to all around AW but in a restricted radius as to prevent
LAG. Maybe as Wing said earlier about it not recognising encroaching into
anothers property... I mean, who would really want a tree flying around
their newly built house and destroying the place and giving off different
lighting effects. Remember that the movement command can move the object
very far, or atleast to what I have tested to your maximum view.

Hi All,
I have just come up with a slight problem about GOrean worlds... I know
lots of you out there are against Gor, but please bare with me...
Gor worlds must be rated 18+. And I feel that actually "asking" for age, as
phalaphe will agree with me, is invasion of privacy. Is it required to ask
for the persons age, or is it good enough to have your world rating at X,
have your immigration officer or bots give out a notice about your world
being 18+ only, and may contain adult content, and if they are under 18 to
please leave the world?
Is this a good enough world feature instead of asking for age? Because
either way, anyone can lie, telling them that the world is adults only makes
it their responsibility....
PLease, I need some input on this...

That's just over the top. I mean, read the books by John Norman before

Hey, need I remind you that bodies are found everywhere, and that does not
have to have anything to do with Gor. People that do this are SICK and
PSYCHO'S! It happens all around the world, 5 bodies from a Gorean man. How

Harmful? I don't see any harm it has done in AW. I mean, we have our age
limits, if someone wants to lie about their age and we don't find out, then
so be it. It is their own responsibility, sure isn't mine. If a 13 year old
came into my world and said he/she was 29 for example... how could I know.
He/she stuffed his/herself up and is responsible for his/herself. If I give
a notice saying my world is 18+ (Adults Only) and may contain sexual content
including slavery, if under 18, please leave NOW. I think it is sufficient.

Anymore to say? Don't bother posting it here, it's a pain in the backside.
Read the Books of Gor by John Norman, written since 1966, there's around 25
of them in the series. Maybe you will enjoy them.
