Techno Tag Tourny!!! // CommunitylanezeriFeb 13, 2001, 8:18pm
Soon the Techno Tag Tourny will begin. We are currently building the
world but are failing because of the lack of builders. If you would like to help build the world for the future TTT please contact Lanezeri by telegram, email (Lanezeri at yahoo.com) or by responding to this message. Description of TTT below. The TTT is a game similar to the AWTeen Paintball Network. You left click someone's avatar then run.. it is somewhat like Paintball but is does not require getting ejected and no score is really kept.. it just goes back and forth from person to person. As of now the bot is finished.. soon I hope to add features like the bot [Gun] (located in WAR) like the feature "stats" which will give you how many times you have been "IT" and if I can do it I plan to make it tell other people's stats also by the command "stats CitName". Soon after this competition I hope to upgrade the bot to where teams are avaiable.. Thanks to Brant, XelaG, and somewhat to MrGrimm.. lanezeriFeb 15, 2001, 12:21am
Thanks ZaPpErrOcK 13 for helping! TTT is currently scheduled for Saturday
and Sunday! Just show up to play! anduin lotharioFeb 15, 2001, 1:29am

Fix that website, the links to the left chuck a fit when you place your mouse over it. Other than that, the content seems pretty good :) Although making bots that others have already come up with the ideas, for example: Cally - Cally is a simple phone bot. It lets two worlds communicate without teleporting. Aren't those kind of bots already made? PhoneBots? Seed Bot is already made. Why make bots which are the same ideas? I mean... no point... OK, what's up with Stuffx.com, you aren't allowed to hit the back button? That's just cruel... That's all I had to say, couldn't think of anything else 8^D Oh btw, please don't tell me that I'm just trying to start fights, think about that free advertising and as a word from the public to make your services better :) Anduin Lothario -- AW Community Register www.awcommunity.org/awcomreg lanezeriFeb 15, 2001, 2:27am
I fixed the links not long ago because I noticed some screwed up links.. yes
there is a phone bot already and also a seed bot but I was bored off my ass the last couple days.. I did make a new bot no one has made before too tho.. like Backwardz, and Tagger altho Tagger is not up for d/l.. I plan to make different bots also but no one will give me an idea.. Weather bot was my next plan but I am having code probs.. and stock bot has the same probs.. UM has created a weather bot already yes but hasnt released it to public.. about Stuff-X.. that is not under my power.. thanks for the info tho.. anduin lotharioFeb 15, 2001, 4:40am

I have fixed this issue. Here is what was happening:
All information relating to Active Worlds on the Stuff-X website is located at http://www.stuffx.com/aw/index.html. Since most people would just type in and/or link to http://www.stuffx.com/ (like Lanezeri did), and not the /aw/ directory, I put a refresh meta tag in http://www.stuffx.com/index.html to automatically re-direct users to http://www.stuffx.com/aw/index.html as soon as the page loaded. Why? Because I didn't want to include all of the AW related information on the Stuff-X main website because I plan to expand the site into other things not related to AW. If a user came to the Stuff-X website from http://www.stuffx.com/ (which Lanezeri linked to), it would direct them to http://www.stuffx.com/aw/index.html. Then if they pressed their back button, it would send the user to http://www.stuffx.com/, which would execute again the refresh meta tag and send the user back to http://www.stuffx.com/aw/index.html. This, in turn, would cause a looping effect in which you could not get back to the true original site you were viewing when you pressed the back button on your browser. If a user came to the site using http://www.stuffx.com/aw/index.html, then they would not be directed and not have this problem. To fix the problem, I just uploaded the index.html from the /aw/ directory as the index.html to http://www.stuffx.com/ until I further develop the site. Also, I have told Lanezeri to change his link to http://www.stuffx.com/aw/index.html. I hope I didn't confuse too many people with this explanation. =) -Builderz [View Quote] crazy glue ilFeb 16, 2001, 7:58pm
