Most likely an IE reinstall would solve the problem.

I have had that problem since 2.2, on three different systems. Has anyone
else encountered it?

You need to have the browser open when you click the links. If it is closed,
then AW will crash. This is a known bug that everyone gets if they don't
leave the browser open.

No, everyone does not "get" this bug. I can click on links in AW's chat box and on objects and it'll either open in an existing IE window, or open AW's web pane and display it there.

True.. I can't leave it open all the time anyway.. it is annoying.. I can
make it smaller yes but that just annoys me knowing it is open.

[View Quote] Everyone? Umm, I never have my browser window open, I click on any links and
all is fine.
If it doesn't happen to everyone then, well, it isn't a "bug" it's more like
your system.

Sincerely,
Anduin Lothario

My system is perfectly fine :o] I doubt it has anything to do with hardware,
software much has no effect since IE works fine..

happened to me sometimes when I started AW from AwStart - the AwStart
program was still running and waiting for the AW browser to terminate,
in order to save the contact list entries. I tried lots of different
ways to start AW or wait for termination and didn't find one that solved
the problem.
Since I moved the contact list save to the AwStart startup and stop
AwStart as soon as AW is running the problem does not happen anymore.
Maybe you use some kind of program starter that works similar or that
description gives you a hint where to start checking.
