Hey I got a e-mail from Lanerzeri, everyone round the fire and listen:-

Hey Leaf, you better change your web layout. I have
been watching that NG and since I can't post I am
emailing the "Webmaster" and that is a direct copy for
my boss's company "Stuff-X" and he has copyrighted his
website, legally not just text. I warn you once, he
is very serious about sewing you. He has told you
once, and so do I. Good luck is all I have to say ifu dont change it.


Sewing me? My god he is gonna sew me arrghhhhh !
BTW I checked the trademark thingy and there isn`t any StuffX. . . .

I see nothing from that letter about trademarks. Where did you get that
from?

"Stuff-X" nor "StuffX" are registered trademarks in the United States
Patent and Trademark Office. "ImaTowns" is not either. It is legal to
use the trademark symbol (TM) if you have not official registered it in
the United States Patent and Trademark Office. It is illegal to use the
registered symbol (R) next to it, however, if you have not official
registered it. Lanezeri's comments have nothing to do with trademark
infringement, but with copyright infringement. They are two totally
different things.

Lanezeri isn't someone I would listen to. Even though we all have mistakes
he said "sewing" and that is totally different than "suing". Just ignore
him.

Hey, Mak, why not judge what a person does instead of what he did? This guy
is trying to look out for Leaf's interests, not his own this time!

there's not enough evidence to prove that it is Stuff-X's website... it would be too hard of a case for him to win.. so if he did
sue you.. not only would you need not worry-he would lose a lot of the money he made (or hasn't made) on his poor-priced "company"
and i'm sure all the "cutting edge" and "award winning" statistics aren't exactly precise.. especially since the cutting-edge
security software is so cutting-edge he won't say the name.. i used to use a firewall my service.. but i realized i didn't really
need it because i'm not stupid enough to enable myself to potentially harmfull damage.. oh-well..

Correct, you don't really need a firewall if your server is set up correctly. Well, not unless some malicious bastard starts
attacking you hehe, I just set up one on my Tribes server just to see who the hell was being malicious.

Obviously, there's no way a legal battle could be won about this website and in fact there's little or no loss involved so the lawyers
would laugh, not enough money for them to get a decent piece. I just think it's kind of a crappy thing to steal from someone you
plan to compete with. However, BILL likes to do it so it must be OK! But then he has a LOTTA LOTTA lawyers. :)

i don't charge much because I don't need the money.. in fact, the only reason i charge at all is so i can put the money towards
renewing my worlds.. why does yours cost to much?

LOL! Oh boy, no wonder this character irks me so much. I guess this is
Lanezeri's "I'll keep watching the Newsgroups" scheme, aye? I sort of did
suspect it anyways. But oh well, maybe he's learned from his mistakes and
will be better this time . . . hopefully. We don't need more twits running
around the place, its sort of calmed down in here quite a bit. We don't need
it to start up again. But, we'll have to see, only time will tell.
