Hi :)
I released the AlphaWorld Property Search Utility on Friday. It can be
used to find objects/buildings in AW based on certain search criteria. The
URL is http://tangent.imatowns.com/
Sincerely,
- Ima Genius :)

Yes, I think we could see more large worlds searchable in the future as long
as we could get a propdump on a regular basis (quarterly probably). :)

why is it that we cant find stuff from expired cits?

A bot would have to be logged in under that citizen number... Likely, because it's expired, the bot can't use the citizen number to log in.

It has to log a bot in so that citizens can only check their own property.

yes, and I believe that you can run a bot using PHP (not sure if it really
is possible, but there was being talked about), and anyway it could just
trigger a bot to log in... there's no other way to check PPWs like that
anyway...

u dont get it all it does is search the propdump aw gave to ima... hes

No, you don't get it. He doesn't have access to any "cit/privs database", he logs in a bot to check that you are who you say you are. *THEN* it will search the propdump. It doesn't use a bot to look for property, just to verify identity.

he hasn't got acces to the citizen DB, you twit! he simply logs in a bot,
and if it doesn't return with an error, the search starts...

sorry hes using a cgi bot... hard to explain but i
hear its a new trend

While that *might* be the case, he's still only using it for authorization. Secondly, I don't know what "trends" you're talking about, but I've only heard of a few bots controlled via PHP webpages, etc.

new there wont be that many people who have bots

It's not a "new trend" as only a couple of people have programmed them.

Reply to the proper post.
