The new universe welcome message

-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
-------

I heard about the new universe-wide welcome message that's going to be =
introduced in 3.2. Won't this be a bad idea for everyone? Think about =
it - you're holding an event and you're trying to get people to come =
when AW posts a universe message telling people to leave your world and =
go to AWBingo to play. Anyone else think about this?

Hmmm - let's all take a bet. I bet Eep will be the first to be =
completely and utterly without tact to a newbie, and wing will be a =
close second :) I'd say there'll be about 10 flames. :) They could =
just post a helpful reminder :) Just to show you how this newsgroup's =
going downhill :)

First, don't use HTML, that's worse than this uni-wide messaging system.
2nd, this will only be used for notices, like that "do not give your
password to anyone" crap. It will only be showed on login (uh, I think). I
don't think awcom is going to abuse this, and if they do, tough cookies,
leave aw if you don't like it.

Don't post in HTML yourself, buddy. :)

Anyways, I can't see why this would be a bad thing. I doubt AWCOM would even
waste their time posting that Bingo is starting or something in the whole
universe because it would mean they would have to actually log on to AW.
lol. :)) Anyways, they really wouldn't abuse it, I don't think, and it would
prolly just say "Welcome to Activeworlds 3.2" like they have in the
screenshot in the 3.2 help page. Maybe a birthday announcement or something,
but nothing big, They have better respect for other events than that. :)

The universe message doesn't get displayed every time you log into a world.
The message only gets displayed once, when you log into AW... And if they
change the universe message, then you will also see the update...

Interesting, you didn't answer a single one of my questions. You destinctly

wing it's people like you which is the exact reason why it is there. There are
laws to protect my right to put names and Citizen numbers on my webpage. If any
of these people feel their name is on that list in error they are welcome to
come to me and review the information I have been given. So far not one of those
people has done that. They know exactly why they are there. If you read the
bottom of each page you will see where I state that. The only trouble maker is
you wing. If you bring this into AW I will call the PKs and have them deal with
you. You may think your something, but you ain't shit, and if someone gave me
information proving you stole a world I'd have your ass on the page too, so
screw off wing before a house drops on you. :) Chucks Party
P.S. I will be sending a copy of this to Ox in case you start any crap and grief
with him. I'm sure he'll be real interested in reading this email you sent me
clearly stating you are a world thief, real nice guy that you aren't. Ox does
not need your help in determining what's best for ABN TV.

I'd like to inquire as to why each and every person on your little shitlist is
there. I also ask why a one time world theif such as myself isn't listed? Do you
have confirmation of any of your little victims' doings by the Peacekeepers (Or
real world law enforcement)? I've removed all my filters so you can reply. If
you don't have decent reasons as to why these people are listed, I will have a
discussion with ABN about your ads. Unlike in the newsgroups, filesize doesn't
matter. Give me all the dirt you have on every one of these people. I don't care
if it's one line or one encyclopedia volume. And they better not be related to
your little NY/BW war. I will not see ABN drug under by your antics chucky boy.
Reply ASAP.

abuse of the Community newsgroup charter Flagg and the AWCOM staff had set
for this newsgroup, and of the individual ISP newsgroup rules that were
given here. It's simple, make a disruption, get an abuse report. We're tired
of 10 threads full of flames. I'd go over the rules broken but it'd waste
kbs, and I know anyone who gets charged by bandwith just added on a good $40
this month by reading these posts.

Yes all this over what? 1 sentence in html. I have heard everyones dumb reasons
for not allowing people to post in html but here's a simple FACT. If it was
allowed you would not have all the problems with people starting a thread like
this to begin with. The extra $40 dollars they spent wasn't because of the
person that posted the 1 html message it was from all the people attacking him,
LOL So, you want to stop it, make html an acceptable tool in this NG or continue
spending your money on idiots trying to attack someone, it's your choice but
wether me or marcus or kmissle are here or not there will always be someone in
this NG that will start a post in html and start this crap all over again. So
pull your head out of your asses and deal with the reality of it and make it
acceptable for this NG only because it will spare the Eropeans any future cause
for something like this to begin with. That's my 2 cents that makes more sense
than any reason not to have html allowed in this NG. And if you can't understand
that, your head is still up your ass.

Ooo, the whole 5 minute process. Even if Brant did it, you take the fall
for it. Unfortunaly for you, you are now at the Chucks Party/Marcus level
which is not good. And Chuck, don't even bother replying to me because your

it - you're holding an event and you're trying to get people to come =
when AW posts a universe message telling people to leave your world and =
go to AWBingo to play.
