The basic PHP configuration, the included modules,
depend on your host, yes.
Have you checked the error message in the PHP file
with "view source"? Maybe it is just a path problem.

<br>
<b>Warning</b>: Could not find/open font in <b>/home/virtual/site271/fst/var/www/html/fonts/i.php</b> on line <b>57</b><br>
That means your server and your PHP is supplied with all
modules you need, just the line
ImageTTFText ($im, $size, 0, 0, $pos, $fore, "symbol.ttf", $line);
is wrong somehow.
Upper/Lowercase maybe?
Different directory?
Read access not allowed?

You could try
ImageTTFText ($im, $size, 0, 0, $pos, $fore, "./symbol.ttf", $line);
maybe there's some default directory where it looks for the fonts.
Another very important thing si : you have to upload the ttf file
with FTP set to binary mode, transferring it ASC (Text mode) will
destroy the file.

Is his plugin interface documented?
I checked and didn't find any documentations about that -
and I didn't download the stuff because it needs DX7 or so

10 - 1 = 9
11 - 2 = 9
12 - 3 = 9
....
20 - 2 = 18
21 - 3 = 18
.......
Now check - the symbols on 9, 18, 27 ... are always equal
It just chooses a new symbol for those 9-ers on each reload
so it isn't too obvious.

Some galaxies still allow 2.2, I haven't tried pre-2.2 ones though
Lately I tried the AW universe with a pre-2.0 - it didn't do anything,
no forced upgrade *g

Servers are often not adjusted to the current DST at all,
on unix you can change the displayed time representation
by changing shell variables.
This makes sense as servers often rely on time differences
on file system entries and on time sync. with other servers.
For me, the time stamps on this news server look correct so
it might be a setting on Bowen's PC.

I nag about that since they changed it and still

Exact positioning is impossible above ground.
Would be better if it would start much slower and
then accelerate.

What you can do is use a filter proxy to remove
the HTTP referer. WebWasher isn't freeware anymore
but there are other similar products.

Look for "log rotation" and "piped logs" there
Especially this "rotatelogs" program should be
your friend :

"log rotation" describes how to delete it without
restarting the PC

Things like <br /> have always been optional in HTML I think,
at least HTML4 allows them.
In XML they are a must. Each unary tag needs it in order to
close itself properly. Optional would be <br></br> but who
wanted to type that all the time.
I am not sure why it complains about those <meta ... /> tags,
it does not complain about all of them. I moved them arround
a bit and it accepted more of them. I guess it is a bug in
the validator.
Stuff like this : name=News&file=index&catid=&topic=73 IS
definitely a bad error, HTML requires & in place of a
single ampersand.
Using htmlentities() or htmlspecialchars() on those strings
should fix it - but it is sure somewhere in the deep dungeons
of PHPNuke :-/

I doubt this statement - well, at least I think you're
wrong if you refer to the age of the body.
From the people I met ages seem to cover the full range
between about 6 and about 80 in a quite flat curve.
