I found an FTP server (seems to be some sort of mirror) that has some
really old versions of AW (and lots of other chat apps):
ftp://ftp.uni-magdeburg.de/pub/mirror/win95/winsock-l/Chat/

Just tried a search in FAST's FTP search for "awb" and it turned this stuff
up.

No one can even use them old AW versions.
If they try to in any universe they will be forced to upgrade never getting
to use the old version.
Even if the uni options say to let that build version in it will still force
upgrade them.
The old versions before 3.0 are not compatible with the newer universe
servers.

Some galaxies still allow 2.2, I haven't tried pre-2.2 ones though

Lately I tried the AW universe with a pre-2.0 - it didn't do anything,
no forced upgrade *g

Or to remince in old times, pretending they were more romantic than is
actually true.

Why do people go to Renaissance Festivals?

Well uh... now, if AWHS ever needs any more historical screenshots, they
can fake them!
