Ah so the trick would be, since I've change the dialog chat for instance, to
do a copy of that first ... then install, then put in my backup dialog!
Thanks!

I think THIS GK was extremely tolerant ... if it were me you'd of been gone
much faster for *disrupting the calm of the gate*. You know that CAPS are
RUDE. You continually insulted GKs. Why and of what benefit or use were you
to anyone but to entertain yourself? You brought recruits obviously. You
should all have poofered much quicker ... hats off to this GK for her
EXTREME tolerance! Good Job Lady Barbara!!!

When I first came online I was in The Palace 2D chat, I was in IMs under a
couple other names but I wanted a name that signified my *up all night*
persona. I didn't want to be Elvira for instance LOL, not THAT kinda up all
night. So the word Nighthawk came to mind ... I know of a couple other
Nighthawks so I changed the spelling to include a capital H and added Lady
to signify my gender.
Thus we have Lady NightHawk ... I am sorta getting tired of it tho, and
there is another Lady Nighthawk online (no cap H in hers). It's a long name,
something shorter might be nice ... who knows LOL. I am somewhat attached to
it now since I've used it for over 5 yrs in both 2D and now 3D chats. My 2D
friends get ticked when I change my name LOL, even tho they know it's me by
the avs I wear. Whatz an avatar to do eh?
Recently my hubby has come to AW, and to have a name that somewhat matched
mine he goes by AerHawk ... Aer is the first three letters of our motorhome
(AerBus) and Hawk to match me ... ain't he sweet? He has the cit that I got
when I made my P20 bingo win into a P30 real world (Aeon). My cit is my
first. Neither of us have been in aw since before early April this year and
we are both on our one and only cits. So a dilema ... if I do change my name
I've gotta keep the Hawk part LOL ... any ideas?
*§ Lady NightHawk §* <<< the fancy version LOL, sure wish AW accepted
funky characters in one's name!

AWI staff, those that actually work for the company, are often lurking in
awgate, I'm sure if GKs were not doing their volunteer job correctly, AWI
would say something to them or their ETLs, TLs, and/or ATLs ... the need of
*other citizens* posing as "tourists" and causing further distraction is
counter productive.
Also counter-productive would be to remove citizens from the awgate landing
zone ... it's a public world because AWI deems it so, who are you to
question that? We need both cits and tourists in order to fully represent AW
in awgate. If I'd of come to awgate with only tourists there, 1/2 of them
shouting "DOWN WITH GKS!" ... I likely would not have stayed long. It's the
cits that *show me* what aw has to offer, not the co-tourists.
Since you often refer to God (in previous posts), do you not remember where
it is said, *judge not lest ye be judged, for by that which YOU judge are
you yourself judged*, or how about *take the STONE out of your own eye
before you take the speck out of your brother's*!? Do you understand these?
With the advent of these continued ramblings you are only asking for further
backlash and flaming. Why not quit now while you are ahead? I'm sure most
GKs are willing to hold their tongue in hopes you do not continue...
Happy New Year to you and yours.

Why do we care where the funds come from??? It's costing someone, least we
could do is listen to it. It's not for us to ask where you come up with the
money for your cit ... some things are private, they just called it awradio
.... doesn't mean aw funded it ... just a name is all.

I disagree. Knowing who started AWRadio or why, or where the funding comes
from is no ones business but the owner(s). It's like asking me how I paid
for my world ... my biz not any one elses.
It appears that maybe you don't know what AWRadio is so let me explain. It's
one of hundreds of *internet radio* stations on the net. You can tune into
AWRadio, or you can tune in to many others of your choice. You can find many
listed on winamp's site, MSN's, Netscape's, Apple Quicktime, and many
others. Internet Radio is not new, it's been around for years, but with
broadband now it is much easier to listen to ... not choppy usually ...
unless you are on dialup.
Internet Radio stations are created in several ways and I don't have *all*
the details, maybe others can elaborate. I do know that some are run from an
individual's computer with songs on their own hard drives that they share
with their listeners, some are *sponsored* and that sponsorship relies
solely on *listener* numbers (in other words the sponsor will not do so
without a set amount of listeners), some rely heavily on advertising. Asking
who pays for, or even sponsors, an internet radio station is right up there
with asking the same of who sponsors your local radio stations ... they are
run in a similar fashion ... and I can pretty much bet you'd get no answer
or a big fat *none of your business* reply from them also.
I say be glad we have one, tune in and support them. I like internet radio
because it's not a forced d/l (not that I mind getting oodles of MP3s in my
misc folder) and as with real radio you can submit a request for your fav
songs. If they don't have it, most of them will track it down for you. Heck
the other day I told the DJ of AWRadio *hello from me* and he said HI to
those that were listening ... now that's communication! Internet Radio is
kewl, AWRadio is kewl ... just leave it at that!?

daphne you are way off base here. I've only recently been involved in b'day
builds, condolence builds, get well builds, since about June maybe, and
NEVER ONCE have I seen *competition*. I'm sorry if your experience in the
past was bad ... perhaps you don't get along with some of the builders, but
to call us all down and group us as tho we are mindless competitors is just
plain unfair of you.
I can't speak for anyone else but when I build it's because I care to give
an aw gift the only way I can ... and that is to do the best build I can
based on what the receivers likes are. Each time my builds get better and I
use the talents of those before me to do so, never once have I been
reprimanded for using the ideas of others. Although I felt inadequate at
first (because of my newness not because anyone made me feel that way) I'm
coming along nicely. I've always been welcomed by this wonderful group of
artists and THEY are a huge inspiration to me!
I've learned alot in these few short months and I would sincerely like to
thank ALL those *gift builders* for their inspiration AND their help! I've
found the *gift builders* to be outstanding people and I encourage anyone
who wants to learn to *build with flare* to get on in here and join us! And
yes I got a wonderful birthday build and a condolence build recently, and ya
know what ... they were GREAT! And ya know what else? They take time and
effort, and a caring mind to create ... you are just plain WRONG! Do you
realize there are 10s of people each month that these *gift builders* waste
their time competing on? Does that even make any sense daphne???
I call on anyone who has received these lovely gifts to counter...

Memorial builds, to me, are the same as birthday, condolence, get well,
farewell builds. I have a whole section of my world dedicated to those
passed, not just my family but family, friends and even critters that others
wish to pay tribute to in my world. Building is building, some of us just
enjoy it so much ... it's our way of letting our creative juices flow, and
yet to give a gift to another. Isn't the big bish at xmas on loosing
commercialness and give something you made yourself? What better gift could
I give you than something I made from my heart, soul and imagination? And I
do know you, enough that I'd do a build for you ... course I'd also do it
for those I don't know time and energy permitting.
I don't build for everyone but God Bless those that do! I've received two
such lovely gifts in my short time in aw and I am extremely grateful!

We are a group of people that build for others, and most of us receive
likewise. It's not an official organization or anything, it's not headed up
by any people individually but if you would like to visit some birthday
areas in aw here are some coords to get you started (below) ... and most of
us keep track of our builds in our own ways, some in aw, some in their own
worlds such as me.
AW coords...
CyberWitch & dreamer2 aw 16986.57S 17285.42W 0.01a 0
Thought to be the *official* place to submit your b'day info. Also has
cards, gift textures, etc.
Lara's aw 23540.0N 23502.9W 0.6a 86
As usual with Lara, this will take you to almost every gift build in aw
LOL
Ms. Sassy aw 5556.63N 5278.28E 0.58a 175
Has cards, gift textures, etc, and does some info on birthdays
Lady NightHawk aw 5571.46N 5336.31E 0.00a 180
My area done for submitting your b'day which I later found out was mute
because
of CW / d2 area ... still you may submit here if you like and it links
to everyone else's also (that I know of).
You can gram some of the consistant builders, they are:
tunablues, dreamer2, OneSummer, Vera, Lara, Ms. Sassy
Again, we are not any kind of organization. Most of those that build have
found out by word of mouth. Some have been doing it for years and years,
some just starting. Some do it cause they love to build, some do it cause
the love to give gifts, etc. You are welcome to join us, if you like it
great ... if you don't that's ok too. But you will see some fantastic builds
just by coming by and visiting different b'day areas. An example of that can
be found in my world Aeon at these coords (not just b'day builds btw)...
aeon 0.51N 27.09W 0.00a 90
I'll leave it to others to post their areas if they choose to (or not). Hope
to see you in aw!

Most of us find out about these builds/builders *through the grapevine* ...
there is not official site, no official group of people. If you really want
a build, hang out in alphaworld and ask around. But more importantly why not
join us in building for others? You can pretty much tell, from the posts
here, who some of the builders are so contact some of us and find out what
you need to do to join us.
