Why do we care where the funds come from??? It's costing someone, least we
could do is listen to it. It's not for us to ask where you come up with the money for your cit ... some things are private, they just called it awradio .... doesn't mean aw funded it ... just a name is all. LNH [View Quote] andrasDec 28, 2003, 12:42pm

> I want to know where did you get the funds for your citizenship. I want ALL details, CC receipts, bank transfers, your latest bank account statements, your source of income, a copy of your detailed tax returns back in five years, etc. -- Andras "It's MY computer" (tm Steve Gibson) laraDec 28, 2003, 12:48pm

I see Lara spends too little time in AWGate now that they unlurk everybody;
I believe the correct form in these days would be "hy there a/s/l/$?!!!1111" -- Mauz http://mauz.info laraDec 28, 2003, 2:12pm
Well! If you're gonna get picky, I thought it starts with "HI ROOM!!", etc.
AND ALL CAPS GETS EVERYONE'S ATTENTION... RIGHT????!!!! ;P Lara [View Quote] tart sugarDec 28, 2003, 2:35pm
Actually, Lara, it depends on the particular situation and mind set of each
individual as they enter The Gate. The following greetings are perfectly acceptable... "Hello, Gatesters!" »§«:*´`»§« ´`*:»§«*´`»{{{{{{{{{ GROUP HUG }}}}}}}}}«´`*:»§«*´`»§«´`*: "I'm new. Can somebody help me?" "HELP!!! How do you play this game?" "DAVE!!! ARE YOU HERE???" "Whose the GK???? I got kicked out of AWNewbie. Can you get me back in?" "A/S/L everybody." ...and then there is this greeting from the person who is having a very bad day, is mad at the world, and hadn't planned on staying at The Gate for more than a few seconds... "FUCK YOU" ...which then triggers an auto response "fare well" msg from first the CA, and then everybody else in The Gate. Various fare well msg's can include, but are not limited to... "buh BYE, idiot" "uh ohhhhh." "Have a nice time in the Blue Room." "And another one bytes the dust." Tart Sugar The older I get, the better I used to be. [View Quote] weyounDec 28, 2003, 3:55pm

It is up to us to ask where the money comes from. We should care for good
reason, the same way companies watch who invests and how much. It can end up becoming a power struggle. [View Quote] weyounDec 28, 2003, 4:58pm

omg - don't EVEN get me started on VR marriages. *rolls eyes*
and A/S/L? Hmmmmmm .......... seems to me that started as an "AOL thing". But yes, I stay away from any serious conversation with anybody who wants my A/S/L. I don't want the FBI knocking on my door and confiscating my puter. O_o Knowing somebody's age only helps me to avoid any "entanglements" with a minor. (ya hear what I'm saying?) LoL!!! I disagree. Knowing who started AWRadio or why, or where the funding comes
from is no ones business but the owner(s). It's like asking me how I paid for my world ... my biz not any one elses. It appears that maybe you don't know what AWRadio is so let me explain. It's one of hundreds of *internet radio* stations on the net. You can tune into AWRadio, or you can tune in to many others of your choice. You can find many listed on winamp's site, MSN's, Netscape's, Apple Quicktime, and many others. Internet Radio is not new, it's been around for years, but with broadband now it is much easier to listen to ... not choppy usually ... unless you are on dialup. Internet Radio stations are created in several ways and I don't have *all* the details, maybe others can elaborate. I do know that some are run from an individual's computer with songs on their own hard drives that they share with their listeners, some are *sponsored* and that sponsorship relies solely on *listener* numbers (in other words the sponsor will not do so without a set amount of listeners), some rely heavily on advertising. Asking who pays for, or even sponsors, an internet radio station is right up there with asking the same of who sponsors your local radio stations ... they are run in a similar fashion ... and I can pretty much bet you'd get no answer or a big fat *none of your business* reply from them also. I say be glad we have one, tune in and support them. I like internet radio because it's not a forced d/l (not that I mind getting oodles of MP3s in my misc folder) and as with real radio you can submit a request for your fav songs. If they don't have it, most of them will track it down for you. Heck the other day I told the DJ of AWRadio *hello from me* and he said HI to those that were listening ... now that's communication! Internet Radio is kewl, AWRadio is kewl ... just leave it at that!? LNH [View Quote] sweetsDec 29, 2003, 7:47am
asl and all its forms of saying (ASL A/S/L asl asl? etc - took quite a few
ways to cover them all LOL) is the only thing my bot ejects for at my world....*grins....they get a one second ejection just for principle sweets |
