Today I created a webpage where you can submit your birthday info. What I'd
like, should you choose to participate, is your AW nickname (in the Name
field), your birthday (numeric please, month/day/year <<< you can *lie* for
the year), select Yearly, and then in Addtional Info put in your Favorite
Colors, Interests &/or Themes.
What it is NOT is a guarantee for a birthday build in alphaworld. The
purpose for this site is so that we all (aw community in general) have a
web-based page for which to view upcoming birthdays. It's sorted by date.
It is solely my creation and is not associated with AWI. Remember, I'm
volunteering my time to do this so don't have expectations I can't keep LOL.
You are welcome to submit your birthday info but please read the page(s)
carefully to see what/how to fill out the form correctly. Submissions are
*moderated* and need to be approved before they will show. It's usefullness
will really depend on how many participate by adding birthdays. Please be as
accurate in the info you provide as possible.
http://63.249.155.229/Aeon/AWbirthdays.html
I hope you find this idea useful. Hugzzz...

It's there LOL, as I said, they're sorted by date with upcoming birthdays on
top. Since yours isn't til next year now, you are on the *next page* ...
click on "Show All Events" to see all b'days that have been submitted so
far. Click on "Add Your Event" to add your own b'day info.
Again, in the Additional Info please put in your fav colors, interests &/or
themes! Thanks...

Let those that you are speaking up for speak for themselves, what you need
to do is speak from your own experience, not heresay ... you haven't even
specified what *those who have told you* are complaining their problems are.

AWI ... what is so hard about pw protecting an op? Is there no way to
protect items we've paid for? I would think this would be your #1 priority
no? I mean the truth is, I already *paid for stuff* and am using it, I've
done my part by attempting to pw protect them but truly it's the
model/object creators that are getting burned here isn't it? Can't you do
something about it?

Unfortunately names can be changed as often as socks, underwear, or even
more often LOL. Best to get Cit#s and even then they may have more than one,
or may enter as a tourist ... in which case you need the IP addy ... even
better yet would be computer ID!

Actually one of the recent virus' can spoof domains. So say you work at
workplace.com and you get emails from info at workplace.com gas at workplace.com
waterhole at workplace.com ... all likely not even legitimate emails for that
domain but this virus is able to spoof it from users computers that have a
legitimate workplace.com email ... I've seen this on my own domain (for
emails that don't even exist) as well as domains where I work etc because my
email address is in *other's computers* ... and not even necessarily
associated with the domains in question. I've had to warn my co-workers not
to open any emails from our domain that is not a legit one.
And of course these non-legit emails have a payload in an attachment. Best
not to open them and even more so turn OFF Preview Pane in your email
progy!!!

I agree, but what we really need is the computer ID because that would block
that computer from entering the world, IP addys can change and change ...
you'd hafta swap out hard drives to change computer IDs. AW has this ability
but we citizens apparently have no way to get computer ID info ... wonder
why you have an eject feature that you can't use?

This is actually true. I've recently found out that you should use "create
texture" and load images to your texture folder, rather than link to images
and use "create picture". I for one have made this mistake unknowingly. I
will rectify it when I have time but my world links to alot of pictures that
I uploaded to my op but not to the textures directory. Sure wish I knew of
this beforehand because now it's going to be an enormous amount of time to
copy all those images to texture folder and use "create texture" instead of
"create picture" ... se la vie!

I created another folder in my op where I u/l all my pix to but apparently
this is not a good idea, they should all go into textures folder because
textures load faster than *create picture*. Or so I find out LOL. Now I've
got a whole lotta work to do to take my pix folder, copy all of it's
contents to the texture folder and direct all the current pix stuff to the
textures folder. Live n learn ...
This btw will be a monumental task! LOL
