Could this slowdown have something to do with the way the graphics are
handled? Because most games have more polys on screen at one time than an
aw browser at ground zero, and they run pretty smoothly with a Voodoo 3.

He may say the truth, but that's not what I was getting at. His manner of
telling the truth, to tell the truth, is obnoxious, demeaning, rude, and
sounds like a superior human being talking to a moron. There are ways to
let the newbies and kids know what's going on without making them feel
alienated on their first day out..

I understand your concerns, but if you want to put up with spam and any
"moron" tourists (again, not saying all tourists are this way), set up your
own newsgroup. I myself don't want the spam that most other newsgroups get
plagued with. If limiting the access of this newsgroups to citizens only
keeps the spam and most morons out, then that's a price as a paying customer

Same here. I posted my views about him, and now everyone knows that I think
he's the Bill Clinton of the newsgroups. He's contributed to AW in a large
way, but he also has some large faults. If the leading experts in eepism
justify his faults with his contributions, and because of that don't put
much pressure on him for not following several of the rules that many of us
have to, then there's not much I can do about it except make my views known
and hope other people agree.
What's disappointing to me is that many of the others who are not the
experts take everyone else's advice without seemingly forming an opinion of
their own. Sheep, all of you. =P All I want is for him to work on his
faults more. You've improved, eep, but sometimes it's still pretty bad.
SW Chris
p.s. Let it be known that I'm probably one of the only people around here
that was around before and during the Eep/Facter war and still think he
needs to work on his faults rather than us rolling over and living with
them.

It's called the "human condition". =P Since most newsgroups have more
adult readers than teenager and/or children readers, they're prone to be a
bit more, um, mature. However some of the newsgroups with a higher adult
ratio are just as bad as this one. It really depends on the people who post
in them. Have a nice day. ;)

Actually you should contact GET. AWCI cannot really do anything to remove
it because hte problem is so large! Peacekeeper.net hosts the GET submition
form, although they are two different entities. Just go to
www.peacekeeper.net and click on the link "Help with Object Removal" to get
to the form.
Within a few days to week, a representative of GET will contact you via
telegram on whether or not they were allowed to remove the objects. With
porn, it's a sure bet they will.

Um, I'm just wondering if you could clear a little something up for me...
There are 8 votes there, right? And there are 7 Typo members, correct?
Well... Casay hasn't voted yet, bringing the vote count to 6, and 7 with
the community vote. What's the 8th vote for?

Just for clarification, Casay hasn't voted yet because she voted for
herself, which is illegal.
