Greetings!
I'm SW Chris, Governor of James River, a subcommunity of SW City, and =
the
Events Coordinator for the city. SW City's 2nd Birthday bash is next =
week and we want you all to come! One event will be held per day for =
the entire next week, starting tomorrow, Sunday! Here's the skinny:
Sunday, April 1, 11 p.m. VRT - ScRaM
Be the first to unscramble all of the words.
(We are having problems with teh Scram bot, so if it's not running, then =
we'll have Trivia instead.) =20
Monday, April 2, 11 p.m. VRT - SW City Best Builds Tour
Tour 10 of the best builds in SW City space. This tour comes highly =
recommended, as several new builds and one recreation of a video game =
will be unveiled for the first time during this tour. =20
Tuesday, April 3, 11 p.m. VRT - Wacky Races
Kmissile583K gave me special permission to make this course. It's a =
standard course with a few new twists to the game thrown in.
Wednesday, April 4, 11 p.m. VRT - AW Baseball and AW Tennis
Play the very first versions of AW Baseball and AW Tennis all night =
tonight. Come at any time for AW Tennis, but show up early for AW =
Baseball! (The bot is stingy about letting people join after the game =
has started. =3D)) =20
Thursday, April 5, 11 p.m. VRT - SW City Paintball Royale
This event is a single-elimination form of paintball. We will play on =
all four of SW City's paintball courses. Be the lone survivor at the =
end of each match to win.
Friday, April 6, 9 p.m. VRT - Palm Grove Building Contest
This is a classic building contest. Builds will be judged on character, =
architecture, creativeness, and inventiveness.
Friday, April 6, After the Building Contest - Closing Ceremonies and =
Fireworks Show
Soon after the building contest, join SW City's staff for a time of fun =
and drunken partying (well not really). The winners of the previous =
events will be officially recognized during the closing ceremonies, then =
sit back, relax, and enjoy the fireworks and light show under a canopy =
of stars!
Saturday, April 7, All Day - All Events
All events will be open periodically throughout the day. If you missed =
an event earlier in the week, come on Saturday to play. =20
The teleport station to these events can be found at the SW City =
Community Events Center, located at aw 2212.9S 3600.6E 90. Please show =
up at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the event. =20
We, the SW City Staff (SW Comit, SW Chris, Syntax, Captain MAD Mike, and
Rae), wish to see everyone there!

Several of you have complained to me about spamming the newsgroups. I
apologize for that, as it was not my intention to do so, and merely a fluke
with my ISP or something. I'm not quite sure what happened. :( But I do
hope you will attend the celebration this week, and hope that my accidental
spamming won't keep you from doing so. :)

Well, I don't see how it could be user error as I only posted the message
twice (one in regular text after I thought the first in Rich Text didn't go
through). How the rich text version appeared on this thing 4 times is
beyond me. It's not like an HTML form.. you can't click the Send button
four times and expect Outlook to send the message out that many times.
If I were you, I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Things do happen for a
reason. Not that it matters.. Half of this newsgroup has you filtered.

Tech support is useful for the 99% of people who don't know the first thing
about how to operate a computer. I'm not talking about those phone service
support people, but rather the ones who take your computer and actually fix
it. ;) I've heard a lot of people say that tech support in the cities
overcharge, say charging up to $150 an hour? I'm not sure on the figures...
But where I work in a small town, it's $40 for an hour and $20 for a half
hour, and we're barely raking in any profit.
:)

Perhaps you could compose a mailing list of your beta testers (with their
permission of course), and send out your bug updates that way. Then the
rest of us non-beta testers won't be bogged down with these extra posts that
are meaningless to us. :)

LOL. Just for your information, your contact list keeps track of your
citizen number, not your name. What it does is check your citizen account
for any name changes every couple minutes, just like the world list checks
for list updates. That way if you change your name and someone steals your
original name, you'll still receive all your telegrams, and the person
sending the telegrams will see your new name instead of your old one. :)

Oh what was that thing Chucks Party said about having a Safe Active Worlds
page? Oh yes, I remember. Alas, who shall police the police? 'Tis a sad
world we live in.
Seriously though, Chuck... if you're gonna make accusations like that, we
at least want some evidence. That is all Agent1 and I are saying.
As far as OneSummer posting this crap on the boards... Hey, let's keep
