Why is there so much hate here? // CommunitybudweiserJun 3, 2001, 6:06am
Why are people so hostile here? I just like to chill but there is nothing
but fighting here... chucks partyJun 3, 2001, 8:32am
LMAO! Do you really need to ask this question to understand why? It's called
SNERTS. Young people that have no clue what they are talking about because they don't have any of life's expieriences under their belt and think they know it all. I know I remember when I use to be that way and I drove my parents and most every adult around me absolutely nuts cause I didn't have a freaking clue about what I was talking about. So there isn't so much hate here as there is just a bunch of SNERTS that haven't got anything better to do than make everything everyone says into a flame war or constantly telling people how to do whatever it is they are doing or correcting gramatical errors, LOL The list goes on and on and on and usually takes the original threads problem totally off track and into something that wasn't intended, they are very very good at doing that constantly, lol Then you have to defend yourself against their idiodic moronic attacks along with trying to get some kind of intelligent conversation out of all of it, LOL Which they can't handle because they are SNERTS and treat everyone like their SNERT classmates at school, lol Now you see why teachers are failing miserably in schools because they have no power to disciplin anymore and the kids can't keep anything focused, they enjoy running off at the mouth like they know everything and end up learning nothing. Hope this explains it for you. :) [View Quote] m a r c u sJun 3, 2001, 9:13am

I think we all like to chill, but the newsgroup isn't quite the place to do
it. A lot of us are too inept or aggressive to ever chill in here. Makes for good entertainment thuogh if you're just sitting back and watching. ;0 In my old newsgroup, every newbie was welcome with this slogan. I think it fits our newsgroup also. :) WeLcOmE tO iNsAnItY! Nornny [View Quote] wingJun 3, 2001, 12:13pm
As I said to you when you first arrived here... Welcome to the flamewar.
[View Quote] agent1Jun 3, 2001, 12:56pm
Since you're no longer in my NG Survivor tribe, I have no need to communicate with you ever again. You're filtered. Almost all of your posts say the same thing, and I'm tired of it.

I believe it's called Activeworlds. If you have a problem with porn somewhere, contact the authorities... Seems the specific instance you were talking about was dealt with, just not in the way you wanted.

It didn't used to be this way Budweiser. A few years back this was a
nice place where folks posted happenings and events across AW. A place where people could come and extract real and useful information. Flame wars were pretty minor and usually the contestants were able to settle their differences in a reasonable manner. I have no idea how or why the newsgroups have taken such negative feel to it other than there are a whole host of new faces in here now. Its a shame, a real shame... thank goodness Eep is still here doing his best to keep things on topic and stragically changing the subject line from time to time keeping the "mindless twits" out of step. Maybe things will eventually go back to how they used to.. we can only hope. [View Quote] m a r c u sJun 3, 2001, 3:53pm
"I believe it's called Activeworlds."
Then they why didn't they do something about it when reported? Why did an outside source have to come in and clean up their work? If you have a problem with porn somewhere, contact the authorities... Seems the specific instance you were talking about was dealt with, just not in the way you wanted. Yes, specifically porn, and I am not into putting strip bars around the corner from schools either, go figure. [View Quote] rehabberJun 3, 2001, 4:05pm
Sure icey, thank goodness... you might not agree with Eep's tactics but
you have to admit he does much better than most in trying to keep this newsgroup on topic and rarely gets any thanks for doing it. [View Quote] agent1Jun 3, 2001, 4:30pm

It wasn't Activeworlds' work, it was that of the person who put up the signs or whatever. Since the webhost took down the account, *all* of the signs pointing to content from it now show nothing.

I would rather agree with the following...
> rehabber didn't write at all: >Sure icey, my goodness... you might not believe Eep has a tactic but >you have to admit he does much better than most in trying to keep himself out >and rarely gets in thanks for doing it! rehabberJun 3, 2001, 5:30pm
ahhh, thats the great thing about opinions... they vary so much and
everyone had a different one. I still love ya even if you don't agree with me.. hehehe [View Quote] nornnyJun 3, 2001, 7:27pm
Well, it's okay that you don't agree, we all do, especially regarding Eep.
You came into the newsgroup, I believe, at a fairly quiet time. A lot of you newbies did. I don't think you have yet to see Eep's helpfulness, just his angriness. We do need Eep, not all the time, but we do. And he's not perfect, like everyone else, but he's usually justified in flaming a newbie for lack of common sense. He doesn't look for millions of people to reply to his flame, they just do, I guess. :) I dunno, stick around for as long as you can, Eep might be his regular self again. That Facter thing really silenced him for a while, and it was quite disparaging. Crazy as it might sound, a lot of us here who's been here the longest do need Eep. Not neccessarily LIKE Eep, but you don't have to like someone to respect him. If you're dying to understand Eep, I SERIOUSLY suggest you look at past posts he's made, his bitter tirades, and all that. He really does have something to say and he says it, unlike the lot of us, who really just complain. :) Nornny [View Quote] eepJun 3, 2001, 7:43pm
Waaaaait, are you saying YOU have a clue, Chuck, oh immature twit who starts countless off-topic threads and replies with about as much lameness as JKF2 et al? You're a funny boy, kid.

<cough>Juno<cough> Anyone who uses software with "buddy lists" (AOL lamers) should be shot. Why AWCI felt the need to dumb-down AW any more than it already is I just don't get...
"I know!", says JP, "let's make AW SO even MY mom can use it!" Rick replies "Hey, that's super! Maybe we can even get MY mom to use it then!" <they give each other a high-five and a pat on the back--but not too long, mind you; they don't want anyone thinking they're fruity--and they continue thinking up ways to lie to get new citizens into AW> Eh... [View Quote] > I believe it has been the influx of idiots. [View Quote] eepJun 3, 2001, 8:09pm
You would rather agree with a sentence that makes no sense? How are those English classes comin'? <chuckle>

As soon as ICQ's contact list becomes a buddy list I'm going to go to STRICTLY long distance phonecalls. I detest any software that
makes me appear friendly by calling me a "buddy". This Juno shit has turned AW into a horny preteen infested school for the retarded. Yes, all you 11 year olds that have been asking me so much lately 30000 coords away from GZ, I have engaged in the pathetic and boring practice of cybersex. Then I grew a dick AND a brain (No, not in the same location) and five years later I've learned to use both. Certain people here have the intelligence to complain about porn objects. Well what the hell about the attempted cyber-rape you're sure to face wearing a female avatar at GZ? Even as a guy I'm bombarded with ENDLESS whispers of "a/s/l" and "You look hot" and "Wanna fuck?" from both male and female tourists and cits with high citnums (Yes, I have the lack of a life that is neccessary to look up every one of these cits). You'd think if they were so goddamn desperate they'd at least learn some real pickup lines. I know mute exists, but it's becoming increasingly common for exploring cits and tourists to find me over THIRTY THOUSAND coords from AWGZ quietly building and all of a sudden pop off one of these damned questions. Now I'm starting to get telegrams from these fucking pain in the necks trying to get friendly with me. AW is slowly becoming uninhabitable by the sane. [View Quote] ladybunnyJun 3, 2001, 9:32pm
I know as a female exactly what you mean by getting request like that in whispers , what I can't figure out is how they expect to do
that? and with a complete stranger?? :) [View Quote] > > > > "Wanna fuck?" from both male and female tourists and cits with high citnums ( chucks partyJun 3, 2001, 9:42pm
DUH really now you think that might be the freaking problem to begin with?
Perfect SNERT reply defending the actions of AW.com which happen to be no action at all LOL [View Quote] chucks partyJun 3, 2001, 11:57pm
