Looks good, is there a "REAL" Active Worlds area there? I briefly looked
down the list, and I couldn't find it. Perhaps, and hopefully I missed it.

I would much rather use that NG from just the peek I took.

And Inactive Worlds, if you are reading, why not put categories here like
there are in the one at news.unitel.co.kr? and allow tourists, it's
pointless chatting with only people I can chat with in AW.

This would allow others outside of the program to understand the shitty
service of yours before they buy an account and milk your pockets with
money. We could also tell them of the porn you don't remove.

Try hosting 3 AW Worlds on my computer... AND my own version of NEWSGROUPS...
And no it is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC... I don't want any MORONS posting cr*p
on my server. And yes... It it takes LOTS of smarts to run all of that on
WINSLOP

At aw gz you will find the pk pole. If you ask for a pk and none are available,
chances are that someone will tell you to click the pole to go to the pk
webpage....or they will give you the pk web page adress.
On that page is a link called *help with object removal* and it takes you right
to the GET page. There you wil find a link to a form to fill out with what
objects you want removed.
If you find a pk and complain about one or more objects you want removed, i.e.
vandalism or porn etc. they will (or should) direct you to the GET page.
So next time you know where to turn for a problem like that.

Oh and i'm a first time poster in this newsgroup so if i made any mistakes bear
with me :-)

noodles. Someone else told you.

You are totally missing the point of my post. Someone who DOES NOT, I
repeat, DOES NOT know about this GET system should be able to send one
single message to a PK, JUST 1 PK, and it should be dealt with.

They should have someone they know who can remove the smut. You make it
hard on the people reporting, and they won't take on the effort to do it.

If I didn't complain like I did, then it would still be there. That is the
point, not that people who know don't have a way going about it. People
that don't know, will not report since they don't know where to go to unless
they repeatedly do as I did. I don't think this should have to happen.

heh that all? those are just plug and play stuff that run without any
special setup.

Try to set up an apache server with MySQL,PHP,PERL,and SSL options and then
get back to me when you learn how to get ten of them to run on a windows 98
compaq presario without it crashing.

OK.... For all the NORMAL people out there & all the MORONS as well...
My NEWSGROUPS SERVER uses the name of news.jfkmusic.com... BUT you won't
get anything as yet for 2 reasons.

1 - Still testing it and that happens when i get get off of AW or the
other universes long enough to test it...
2 - It is open for ONE person right now... Gerald Kieffer/sysadmin
and my PASSWORD is NOT sysadmin and i carry all of the MIDI sound groups
AND my software is NEWSPRO and i pull from apx 20 free public domain
newsgroups and one that i'm a member of Road Runner News from
twcny.rr.com. So i can get a very nice selection of MIDI's
AND to keep all MORONS from even trying it... I log on the web page of my
DOMAIN NAME conntrol and check the box for NEWS.jfkmusic.com ON OR OFF...
OFF = you get nothing. NADA. On = You get something when you try me...
Sorry... You don't belong here yet. If you think you belong...
Then go down to the post office... And have them send you to Belong.Com
and you will find a place you can belong to real fast.

When i decide to open this up... I'll most likely invite my local friends
first.

Alright then I deliver this challege to all newbies. I do not believe that
any of you (except maybe Cara who seems to have done her homework, but we
still have to see on that point) can go a week without spewing BS for any
topic or for any reason. I really doubt you ppl can constructively post in

PKs are always willing to learn and improve. We are not perfect but always try our best to help the community in any way we can. Also note that you can file a complaint or suggestion at peacekeeper at activeworlds.com if you feel something is not right. Now...how about telling us, (here in public if you wish or email at the PK email address) which PKs you contacted and they couldn't point you to the GET page? I asked you again around the end of April because of a similar post of yours and you didn't tell me, I find it hard to believe a PK didn't know the garbage removal procedure. Also, I gave you the URL to the GET page myself then so you can't claim now you didn't know about it. It was again on a porn issue, is it the same you are talking about now? Because if it is, please state the world this concerns. That complaint was about non patroled, unmoderated, R rated world, where any complaints are to be dealt by Flagg personally, I even gave you his email address. Just to set things straight here.

Actually I read your posts, took me quite a while because they were too many, and I still can't see the point. If you think that you can free the net from porn and all other evil, I think you are bound to fail. Kids will have access to porn or anything else they want if they are not supervised by their parents. No one can watch or protect your kids if you don't do it yourself, simple as that. I asked two simple questions, how about answering those if you are interested in improving the way things are in AW?

Critiscizing (sp?) programming is simple. Just know what the renderer is capable of, the time it takes to complete a given product,
what technology is capable of (for example T&L), how efficient the program is (memory consumption, CPU consumption, filesize) and
various other cutesy little doodads of info.

Lets list some obvious errors...
1) All caps. Veerrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyy intelligent.
2) Beginning sentence with conjunction
3) Extremely not extreamly
4) Is that ellipsis neccessary?

Lets see, in 2nd grade it was taught to me that the following acronym was important in all writing:
Capitalization
Usage
Punctuation
Spelling

That makes you one for four jfk, I'm impressed.

I am aware that I am guilty of some of these same mistakes on a fairly frequent basis, but it's the irony that made me go after

Yeah seems the PKs don't even know to give you the advice to use GET's
services, how were you to know unless they told you it was handled by them.
Vandalism and porn are 2 horses of a different color. 1 has nothing to do

And you need to know buttloads more to run a Duron 700 at a clockspeed of 1200 and recover from a knacked CPU and hard drive in
under an hour while at the same time fielding PC repair clients and phone calls asking why the hell the webserver has been down for
so long (It's temporary home in my basement between colocation facilities had a minor electrical issue, hadda run a new circuit for
it)

But, when did this become a pissing contest about technical knowledge? Anyway, figure I'll just post this in case someone's
wondering why I'm so bent this week, spent my weekend with a mess on my hands.

Well, ok, so if you put porn in active worlds and then go to the cops and
let them know you have porn which kids can see there, they shouldn't do
anything about it?

You must be living in a area of the real world than I am not familiar with,
cause cops don't really like that sort of thing where I am at.

The servers that held the porn didn't like it either, which is why they not
only removed the files, but they closed the entire account holding the porn.
