Still, it would behoove you to get both browsers. Just because Netscape
is on your system doesn't mean you have to use it. (It won't bite,
honest) That's really the only reason I still have IE on my comp, so I
can actually see pages that were made by brainwashed IE users. ;P You
can make the webpage in Notepad and look at it in NS to make sure it
works, then you'll never have to open it again. How painless! :)

Well, for starters, the frame in the center of the page doesn't appear
in NS. (This is because NS doesn't recognize the IFRAME tag. If you want
to do something like that, just use normal frames.) Also, the links do
not change color when you hover over them. (another IE-specific feature)
And when you click a link, it opens a new window. (again, I'm assuming,
because there's no frame) Also the forms in NS look different than they
do in IE. (IE look like flat grey boxes with a black border, and NS
looks like the default white box with raised border) This is because
there are no style properties for form elements in NS. (hopefully that
will change come NN6)

As I've said, IE does let you do more things with your website. However,
since NS is more conservative in nature, websites that are tailored to
NS are more robust. (I've never seen a webpage specifically made for NS
that's crashed my browser) Yes, making a website cross-browser
compatible is a pain in the ass, I'll admit that right up front. I
seriously wish that both companies could agree on some HTML standard,
but alas that's not the case. If you're truly interested making USWF
well-known, you should make the site as compatible as possible so you
can reach the widest range of people possible. Just assuming that
everyone in AW has IE (or uses it) isn't the way to go about it. It's
just good business sense.

It's not that NS has any gaps in it... it's just that, at the time, NS
didn't want to risk putting in any complex HTML features that might
crash the browser, or worse. (as some IE-recognized commands can do on
not-so-great systems) However it seems that with NN6, they'll be
ditching that philosophy for the most part. Of course, never having used
it, I can only speculate based on rumors. Perhaps someone who has NN6
could give us a good comparison between that and IE? :)

tired of you know what kind of people?

Nov 19, 2000, 6:14pm
I feel so honored.

My point is that these are not *your* newsgroups. These are COF's
newsgroups, and according to the charter, the only rules are 1) keep
posts on-topic, 2) they meet rules of netiquette and polite human
interaction, and 3) posts are appropriate for a group forum (as opposed
to individual emails).

Now, let's review. Did Derek break any rules? Yes, #1. Should he be
reprimanded? Of course. Should he be cussed out and insulted the second
he steps in the door? I think not. That would be breaking rule #2, would
it not? You also constantly bitch about insanely long threads, yet you
are almost always the main contributors to these same threads, since you
just *have* to have the last word. In the above mentioned thread you
have 9 posts out of 27. That's a third of all posts. Another third is
Derek trying to defend himself. The rest are various other people
offering their opinion. (most of them against you) As the thread drags
on, it becomes increasingly clear that it's just you vs. Derek, meaning
you could easily have continued this dispute via email instead of
polluting this NG with your bickering, thereby breaking rule #3. So
who's the bigger offender here?

Now granted, these NGs aren't moderated anymore, but I believe the rules
still stand, and a measure of self-moderation should be enforced. If you
had simply said "Beta NG is strictly for posts about beta bug reports.
Put posts like this in the community NG.", you probably would have
gotten a "oh sorry lol" and that would have been the end of it! But no,
you had to hide behind the excuse that "he got on your nerves" and drag
it out to horrendous lengths, thereby demonstrating even more
incompetence.

And as for these rules applying only to the community NG, I would like
to think these rules implicitly apply to all NGs; just common sense. And
if there's anyone who disagrees with me, (besides you, Eep) speak now
and I'll shut up. Otherwise, I would suggest abiding by these rules
before you make yourself look as incompetent as the rest of us.

gives up and filters you.

beta newsgroup read authentication?

Nov 30, 2000, 4:12am
I'm getting some weird action with the beta NG as well. It doesn't ask
for a password, but it says that there are unread messages in it. (This
is using Netscape's newsreader, btw) When I click on "beta", however, no
messages appear, (I have it set to show only threads that have unread
messages in them) but "beta" still remains bold. (meaning there are
unread messages in it) When I click out of the NGs (i.e. email section)
and click on "beta" again, still no messages appear, but "beta" becomes
non-bold. (signifying no unread messages)

Guess not *everyone* can read the beta NG... any ideas as to what's
going on here?

"Big Brother" Tabloid *Personal attack of sorts enclosed*

Dec 10, 2000, 4:41am
First of all, knowing Utopian Monarch, I find it hard to believe he
would go through this much trouble to post a bunch of lies. (Plus, I
doubt he's that creative. :P) Second of all, why do you think he is
attacking you? No where on this site is your named mentioned whatsoever,
nor anywhere in the chat logs he posted. I realize you may be friends of
some of the people mentioned on that site, and that's fine. But to
somehow think that this is an indirect personal attack against you is
just ludicrous, if not narcissistic. Thirdly, one would consider you no
better for resorting to these tactics. If you think him wrong for
posting such things, then work it out between you and he and get them
removed. If anything, by posting the url, you'll probably invite *more*
attention to it, thereby giving him incentive to continue doing such
things. Fourthly, where does he attack Peacekeepers? Just be cause he
doctored up a picture of m0e? (Which looks corrupted to me, btw. Didn't
load all the way.)

Still, one must wonder at the motives for posting such drivel on a
website. Why would anyone care? I'll see if I can't talk to him about
it. In the meantime, I suggest you stop acting like everyone's out to
get you and just deal with it mano-a-mano.

P.S. It should be noted that the site doesn't load in Netscape at all.
Had to use IEvil in order to see it. *shudder*

AW got bribed? only a rumor

I think whoever started that rumor be smokin' da crack pipe, if you

The only reason AW isn't up yet is because COF is getting pissy with

Proposal: The Dream Team

Dec 11, 2000, 11:46pm
Being 3AM in the morning and bored out of our skulls, my roommate (whom
some of you may know as Jeff Raven) and I came up with a nefarious plot.
This plan would solve all of the problems in AW, while simultaneously
allowing it to prosper and grow. And it can be boiled down to three
simple words:

Buy. Them. Out.

Now, I know you must think I'm nuts, (anyone who already doesn't must be
new here) but hear me out. I did some research into the financial/stock
situation of ActiveWorlds.com, Inc. and came up with some rather
interesting facts:

• AWLD has a total of 8,602,762 shares outstanding.
• Out of those shares, 5,024,013 shares are closely held, roughly %58.4
of the company shares.
• Of those closely held shares, %29.7 (roughly 1,492,132 shares) is own
by Rick Noll (ENZO) and %29.1 (roughly 1,461,988 shares) is owned by
J.P. McCormick (Cryonics)
• AWLD's current stock price is $1.03125 per share

Now, what does all this mean? It means that no one person owns more than
half of AWLD. Rick and JP own %58 of the company together, but if one
were to stab the other in the back, all would be lost. Not only that,
but someone else could buy only %60 of all stocks (roughly 5,161,657
shares) and control the Board of Directors, and thereby, the company. At
$1.03 a pop, that comes to a measly $5,316,506.92!

Of course, no one person in AW has that kind of money, otherwise I would
think they'd have the commons sense to buy them out years ago. So what
we were thinking is forming an ActiveWorlds Stock Group. Get a bunch of
people together and pool our money to come up with the necessary $5.3
mil.

Is it a risky scheme? Probably. Is it better than the alternative? (that
being leaving Rick and JP in charge) I'd sure as hell like to think so.
Think of it, we buy out AW and we'll be able to call the shots! AW for
the people, by the people! Just picture the new staff we would have, and
all the things that would actually get accomplished around here:

President/CEO - Protagonist

Business Management - Moria, Bonzer

Software Development/Programming - Roland, Hamfon, Denette

Customer Service/Technical Support - Flagg, Daphne, Dataman, AlphaBit
Phalpha

3D Modeling - Young Shamus, Kalak of Tanagra, Just In

Quality Assurance/Testing - Eep, Agent1

Webmaster/Advertising - Bille, Goober King *grin*

Now is that a staff or what? :) These are just the names I could think
of at the moment, but I'm sure there are many more people who would be
perfectly willing to join in on this project. I'm assuming the only
reason they haven't yet is because of real life stuff. (i.e. already
have jobs and all that good stuff) Still, with this staff running the
show, *no one* will have reason to complain. Everything people want to
see done *will* get done. No secret agendas. No ignoring of customers.
Simply things as it should be: AW for AW users.

Oh well. I guess this is probably a long-shot anyway. People seem
content to complain and complain, but not actually do anything to effect
change. But hey, a goober can dream, can't he?

World Theft.. more to come...

Dec 12, 2000, 3:21am
Well, I don't know what's going on between you two, but I talked to Just
In prior to this and his view was that he made the objects, so he can
use them however he sees fit. Frankly, I think this whole thing could
have been handled differently, but he does have a point. He made every
single object and texture and they're his to do with as he sees fit. If
he wants to make another world with them, there's not much you can do
about it.

As for vandalizing NewYork's OP, I can't fathom Just In would sink so
low. If that's truly the case, (which I intend to discern after proper
investigation) then as far as I'm concerned, Just In can join the ranks
of Rick and JP as the scum of AW.

The Whole NewYork Story

Dec 13, 2000, 3:27am
In response to that, I'd like to share this chatlog of a conversation I
had with Just In last night, detailing his side of the story. I will
reproduce it here, word for word, only interjecting to explain what was
happening at the time. You will most likely note I wasn't all that
objective in my "grilling" of Just, but I was operating out of anger at
the time and was only looking for answers.

P.S. FriendPA, this is what I wanted to talk to you about earlier, but
your post has done that for me. Thanks.

---
Prelude: Immediately after perusing Zero's webpage, I went to Broadway
world to see if I could locate Just In and find out what he had to say
for himself. Not finding him there, I then went to NewYork and
telegrammed him, asking him to come and talk to me. He said he was in
the middle of something and asked if it could wait 10 minutes. I said
sure. In the meantime, I ran into Rehabber in NewYork and we chatted for
a few...

*********************************************************
* Active Worlds chat session: Tue Dec 12, 2000 12:33 AM *
*********************************************************

Immigration Officer: Welcome to NewYork, the ORIGINAL VR Times Square
and not a copy of it. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Times Square from
the comfort of your home. If you have any questions or comments email
Friendpa at newyork at gotoworld.com.
Goober King: allo
Rehabber: hello
Goober King: what's up? :)
Rehabber: not much.. just checking out what zero had posted
Goober King: *nod* same here
Rehabber: don't know is there is much that can be done.. no copyrights
on the contents of a world
Goober King: *nod* They are Just In's objects... I'm more interested in
the claims that were made on the website
Goober King: If they are even remotely true, Just has much to answer
for...
Rehabber: like in any industry.. if you make something while employed by
another for another, the something belongs to the another.. paid
employment or not
Goober King: hrm... well, the way I understand it, NewYork was a joint
project
Rehabber: enforcment of that will be difficult
Rehabber: I only know one side of it.. the posted in the newsgroup
side.. I don't know the world owner here
Goober King: I'm not looking to enforce anything... I don't have that
kind of power... just looking for answers right now

At this point, Just In telegrammed me saying he could join me, and
did...

Immigration Officer: Just In would like to join you. Type 'y' to accept
this request, or 'n' to reject it.
Immigration Officer: You are being joined by Just In.
Goober King: speak of the devil
Rehabber: I suppose both sides will come out eventually
Rehabber: they always do
Goober King: heya Just
Just In: hi
Rehabber: I've never been here before.. nice objects
Goober King: *nod*
Just In: you called?
Goober King: That I did...
Just In: I shouldn't be in here - I'm not welcome
Goober King: eh... I'm sure they'll get over it
Just In: can we go to Alpha or something?
Just In: kay
Rehabber: green dot world.. if you were not welcome then you would
prolly be on auto eject
Goober King: No one else is here
Just In: okay
Goober King: Anyways, what's this I hear about corrupting of an OP?
Just In: an OP? what is an OP
Goober King: ...
Goober King: Object Path
Just In: hi Rehabber :o)
Rehabber: howdy Just
Just In: oh... I asked PA to delete my objects from her path
Just In: and my textures and pictures
Goober King: and?
Just In: she didn't - so I did... but naturally anything that was not
my own object I did not touch
Goober King: So why are they still here:?
Just In: obvious she has kept copies of them on her PC and replaced them
- which I expected her to do anyways
Goober King: *shakes head* I don't believe this... you're doing it again
Just In: they are still here because she wants them here
Goober King: are you ok with that?
Just In: not really - but outside of taking legal action there's nothing
I can do
Just In: so I've decide the best action is to put up with it
Goober King: What exactly was the nature of your "partnership" with
FriendPA? Joint venture, or were you just the object guy?
Just In: it would have been at least decent for PA to have put up a
credit...
Just In: seeing everything you see here I built
Just In: I did all of it... pa took photos
Just In: twice
Goober King: Was it as a favor?... did you and FriendPA equally own the
world? what?
Just In: she spent 2 days on this by going to times square and taking
photos
Just In: she owned the world...
Just In: owns
Just In: I built it ... no agreement about anything
Rehabber: well.. this sounds more like a personal issue to me rather
than what was posted.. so I think I'll have to call it "none of my
business"... see you guys later
Goober King: heh see ya Rehabber

At this point, Rehabber left and it was only Just In and myself left in
NewYork...

Just In: PA saw what I did in Alpha World - the place that won the Cy...
Just In: she asked me to build Times Square...
Just In: I said okay...
Goober King: And you did
Just In: I told her I had big plans then... that we get money out of
it through advertising
Just In: she said okay...
Just In: and so it goes
Just In: long story
Goober King: But you just build the place... yer hardly in a position to
decide the course of a world
Just In: we fought split... I tried to make up, she said no... so I
went and got a new world and I'm continueing what I started there
Just In: yep - you're right
Goober King: The fact is, they may be your objects, but it wasn't your
project... so you really have no right to copy it outright
Just In: not my project?
Goober King: Not your idea
Just In: which idea?
Goober King: To recreate NewYork
Just In: okay... I'm going off to build a house in Alpha... don't
you dare take my cool idea and make a house yourself
Goober King: There's a difference between making a house, and copying a
reallife city
Just In: how many paintings are there of the London Towers?
Goober King: Besides, I'd be pissed if someone copied my house too...
wouldn't you be pissed if someone made a copy of your Cy Award winning
place?
Just In: not if they put my name to it... I'd be honoured
Just In: in fact... quite a few have compied things from my place...
I don't mind...
Goober King: What if someone helped you build it, then went off in a fit
and rebuilt if himself, claiming it as his own
Just In: my work is fantastic... why should people want to have my
work?
Just In: are you suggest PA helped me build this?
Goober King: PA asked for your assistance, did she not?
Just In: she provided the land... and took photos
Just In: the rest is me - all of it
Just In: every line on the road...
Just In: every pole every sign
Just In: every picture I made
Goober King: So? She still helped... without those photos, none of this
would be possible
Just In: every wall in every place me me me
Just In: wrong...
Just In: her pictured weren't needed
Goober King: Then what the hell was she taking pictures for? A photo
album?
Just In: I arranged for new photographers because hers were not up to
the quality I needed
Goober King: And she agreed to this?
Just In: even that avatar you are wearing now - she couldn't get that
right - I had to finish it
Goober King: Did she agree to this?
Just In: yes
Goober King: What'd she do after that?
Just In: complained that she wasn't as good as me
Goober King: and?
Just In: and what?
Goober King: so she just did absolutely nothing else after that?
Just In: she put a dog on 46th street
Just In: wanna see?
Goober King: Just... please
Just In: you know who organised last years new years event here? me
Just In: you know who organised business people to come look... me
Goober King: Well woo for you
Just In: :o)
Just In: lemme show you why she took away my building rights
Goober King: What did PA want that was so horrible you couldn't use this
place anymore?

Here, Just In walked off towards the outskirts of the main built-up area
of NewYork to a small area with all sorts of avatars lined up, as if on
display. Next to them were a collection of signs detailing avatar
filenames and problems associated with that avatar...

Just In: OMG... she actually cleaned it up!
Just In: oh no... here they come
Goober King: what?
Just In: I asked PA to put away the avs she was not repairing until she
was ready to come do some work
Just In: I made this stand here to encourage her to repair the error
Avatars
Just In: see here - I made signs for her telling her which errors there
were
Goober King: and?
Just In: after 4 months of asking her... I grew tired...
Just In: I told her I would delete them, and for her to robocopy this
area if she wanted to reconstruct it when she was ready to fix her avs
Just In: her reaction was to remove my building rights
Just In: I complained...
Just In: she removed caretaker rights...
Just In: I complained more... she told me not to come back
Just In: I begged her to reconcile... she refused
Goober King: So just out of the blue, she decides she doesn't like you
anymore
Just In: I offered her free ownership in a new world Broadway... no
cost... more land than NewYork.... and keep NewYork all for herself
no strings...
Just In: she said no
Just In: I threatened her Goober... I told her off
Goober King: what the hell for?
Just In: she got annoyed - rightly so...
Just In: I am annoying
Goober King: No, you are scum
Just In: thanks
Just In: did you want to add anything more?
Goober King: I remember when I first heard about Just In... he was one
of the best teachers in AWSchool... everybody thought he was great, and
I thought he was pretty cool too... especially after seeing his
builds... wondered whatever happened to him...
Goober King: always willing to help people out... even offered to build
a few things for em...
Just In: were you going to type more?
Goober King: Now all that's left is some sad little man, consumed by his
own narcisistic greed...
Just In: Goobs - I tried for two months to resolve the whole thing with
PA - I'm note sure what it is you expected me to do?
Goober King: How about not threatening people, for starters... she asked
for your help... out of the goodness of your heart (I hope) you
accepted... now you want to take over and profit from it, and PA is
holding you back? wtf?!
Just In: I wanted to keep building here
Just In: I apologised to her for anything she felt was a threat
Goober King: Damage done... should've thought of that *before* shooting
your mouth off
Just In: agreed
Just In: I'm sorry for that
Goober King: Then work it out... stabbing her in the back like this
certainly doesn't demonstrate any amount of regret
Just In: she told me flatly many times over - she no longer wanted me
here...
Goober King: *after* you threatened her
Just In: correct - I apologised for that...
Goober King: Why would you need to say such things in the first place?
Just In: but perhaps you can at least sympathise for my cause... this
avatar stand was full of avatars that if chosen by visitors would cause
errors
Just In: to crash their AW
Just In: I finally relented that PA couldn't find the time to fix
them...
Just In: so I wanted to delete this
Just In: if you came here with 3.0 you'd get errors or crash...
depending on what card you have
Just In: after 4 months PA wouldn't take action... I asked nice asked
asked asked...
Goober King: *nod* that's fine, I understand that... but if PA didn't
have the time to fix them, why didn't you just offer to fix them
yourself?
Just In: then demanded...
Just In: then said enough... I'm deleting it
Just In: she said no - and took my building privs away
Goober King: *points at previous question* We've been here already
Just In: because I wanted PA to contribute
Just In: I wanted PA and I to work as a team...
Goober King: Umm.... it's *her* world, dude
Just In: and all the time I was lonely in here... and sad
Goober King: oh, give it a rest
Just In: well - after a year of it, I think you would get jack of it too
Just In: now I have to hear you calling me scum
Goober King: I would try and find out what she wanted... as far as this
is all concerned you were working for her, not the other way around
Just In: I like working with people, helping them learn, and enjoying my
work
Just In: working for her... for what reason?
Goober King: You were making the objects for her
Just In: I was making objects for me
Goober King: Umm... nooo... she asked you to make objects for *her*
world... *her* idea... *you* accepted
Just In: no... she never asked me to make objects... I just did
Goober King: Dude... you just told me she came to you asking to make
objects for her
Just In: well - thats not what she asked and I apologise if I
miscommunicated
Goober King: What did she ask, then?
Just In: for me to build times square
Just In: Goobs... are we wasting time here?
Just In: well I be anything other than "scum"
Goober King: You could redeem yourself by getting rid of Broadway... or
at least changing it to something else... (replica of Chicago perhaps?)
And getting back on good terms with PA and making *this* world what it's
supposed to be
Just In: No - but I would be willing to accept FriendPAs apology for her
mistreatment of me...
Just In: and forgive her for her slander...
Goober King: bullshit... you mistreated her first
Just In: and I may even conceed to letting her endorse Boradway
Just In: she can come to me
Just In: I've already gone to PA and licked her feet... while I did
that she kicked me in the head
Just In: I have to go...
Just In: sorry you feel how you do
Just In: I hold nothing against you... and will keep you in high
regard
Just In: bye
Goober King: Well, I'll be talking with PA as well... I find it *very*
hard to believe you would act like this
Goober King: Most disturbing...

Make whatever judgments you will. I have already made mine....

Discrimination towards the Gor culture

Dec 14, 2000, 1:43am
I'd like to clarify a few things that I think both sides missed...

First off, Gor is NOT a culture, NOR a lifestyle. It is role-playing,
pure and simple. In the same way geeks will gather to play fantasy
adventures in Dungeons & Dragons, so too do Gor followers go to Gor
worlds to act out Gor ways. (Not to suggest that Gors are geeks ;))

That being said, what I think Lonesome Dove was getting at was that any
person with a semblance of sanity should know when to turn off "Gor
mode" and turn on "Normal mode". The problem with Gor is not really the
master/slave issue, or the sex acts, it's the fact that some people lose
touch with reality while experiencing Gor and eventually come to believe
the Gor reality as fact. They honestly believe that they are a
master/slave and it affects how they act in the real world. It is this
fear, I believe, that causes this discrimination: that if someone were
to get involved with Gor, they would get sucked in as well. (Doesn't
really say much about their self confidence, does it? :))

Personally, I have no problem with Gor. If someone were to tell me they
were Gor, I wouldn't blanch or cuss them out. However if someone were to
act out Gor in my presence, I would act much in the same way I would act
if someone ran up to me shouting "I attack you with +4 Sword of Death!"
I would wonder if perhaps it was a joke, then seeing they were actually
serious, I'd try to snap them back to reality.

Frankly, I think anyone who truly honestly believes that Gor should be a
way of life should seek help. For all intents and purposes, Gor is a
GAME, nothing more. Anyone who gets lost in the game, needs to realize
where they are and what they're doing, before they end up affecting more
than just their master/slave...

Discrimination towards the Gor culture

Good lord, people. You all replied to my post, yet it seems none of you
actually READ it! Gor ISN'T a culture, it's a GAME. G-A-M-E! People
role-play in a mideval/gothic setting and play out the parts of masters
and slaves. It's NOT a way of life. Do you honestly think Masters have
control of their Slaves even if they aren't in the same room/world, or
even if they aren't online, for that matter? No, because anything Gor
only applies when the two people decide to be in "Gor mode". The problem
some people have with it is when people stay in "Gor mode" even when
they aren't in a Gor designated area. (i.e. Bingo) It would be the same
thing if two kids came into Bingo and started having an imaginary
Pokemon battle. There are times and places for everything, and last I
checked, Bingo was a world to play Bingo in, not role-playing.

As I said before, if someone decided to stay in Gor mode 24/7, I'd be a
little worried. But I should hope that the average Gorean knows the
difference between fantasy and reality, and in a public forum, one
should leave one's fantasies at the door.

Discrimination towards the Gor culture

Dec 17, 2000, 1:25am
I apologize if I haven't memorized all of Gor dogma, but what I have
seen of it has told me all I need to hear. My basic understanding was
that some guy (conveniently forgotten his name) wrote a series of books
about people using cyberspace and virtual reality to teach younger
generations their ways, which included how to act like a slave, and
eventually becoming masters of their own slaves, etc, etc. Some people,
as you stated, decided to take it a step further and role-play off it.
Others, which I find rather disturbing, have decided to take it as their
guideline for life.

Again, I apologize if perhaps my understanding of it isn't correct, but
what I've seen on Gor sites and have been told by people claiming to be
of Gor has lead me to these conclusions. Perhaps I only ran into the
folks who were of the role-playing mindset and wrongfully assumed they
were in the majority. My apologies.

Nevertheless, regardless of who treats it as a game and who does not, I
find it *very* disturbing that someone would take essentially a work of
fiction and turn it into their Word of Law. I highly doubt the original
author of these Gor books intended to have people actually follow his
so-called "teachings". Although I myself have never read any of the Gor
books, I'd wager a guess that the author's original intent of writing
these books was to comment on humans becoming slaves of technology, and
using technology to create more slaves, thereby continuing the cycle.
Again, that's just my theory, and you may take it or leave it as you
wish.

Still, the idea that you chose to live in a fantasy world (someone
ELSE's fantasy world, I might add) demonstrates to me that you aren't
that grounded at all. It would be akin to me deciding I'm going to live
according to Elvish law as dictated in the Silmarillion. I'll study the
Elvish dialect, learn their mannerisms, dress as they do, and live out
in the woods and become one with nature. Sounds like the good life to
me! :P

I'm sorry, but people who take Gor seriously are on a one-way trip to
the funny farm. At least they need to get out more.

USWF is just bullshit!

Dec 15, 2000, 3:09am
Y'know, I've listened to Legion's rants for quite some time now. I've
watched him rile up Eep, et al, in a failed attempt at humor. I've
watched him throw mindless accusations left and right in some misguided
effort of AW loyalism. But now I grow weary of his stupidity, especially
when he attacks not just a business partner, but also a friend's
organization.

It has always been clear to me, Leg, that you've never had all your
marbles when it comes to posting, and I think it's time for you to stop.
Stop posting mindless banter. Stop posting empty accusations. And stop
wasting our time. I'm not even going to bother trying to point out all
of the wrongs you speak of in your post, because I know it won't sink
in.

But before I bid you farewell, I'll give you these few pieces of advice
to take with you:

1.) AW is NOT going to sue you. Period. You can stop kissing their ass
because they won't even acknowledge you.

2.) Stop idolizing Eep. Lord knows he has a big enough ego already, he
doesn't need a shadow trying to emulate him on top of it.

3.) Get all your facts straight before posting. Going off on some
mindless rant just because of one chat session is bound to get you in
trouble, among other things.

I could go on, but again it would probably be wasted on you. And for
those of you who think this harsh, I have had to deal with Legion on
*numerous* occasions, not just here in the NGs, and frankly I'm sick of
it. This kid needs to grow up and start acting like a real person before
he winds up saying the wrong thing to the wrong person and gets himself
in *real* trouble. I've tried my best to set him straight, but alas to
no avail. If anyone else wants to take a crack at it, go right ahead.

This is the last time I will address him directly; after this, he's on
his own. Goodbye Legion.

He left out a slash in the name... it's actually United States/Worlds
Federation... "United States" doesn't always equal "American"... It just
means a group of communities ("States" and/or "Worlds") united together
under a common theme/purpose (in this case, VR money)

First thing's first: Lay off the crack, dude. Secondly, learn how to
puncuate. Thirdly, nowhere in Nornny's post did he label USWF as
"bullshit". That was Legion, not Nornny, get your facts straight.
Geez...
