AW got bribed? only a rumor // Communitysw comitDec 10, 2000, 6:03pm
AW just partnered up juno, and juno made a word: junodome
Some say that juno bribed AW to close down alphaworld so more people would come to junodome. At first, there were only 5 worlds open, AWGate, Junodome, and some others. (Then they all came back 1 by 1). Thereby, a large amount of people went to junodome. Anyway, knowing the AW staff, and how low their stocks are, they're desperate for the money, so I can see it happening. Any comments? agent1Dec 10, 2000, 6:06pm
Doubtful. They are going to shut down their uniserver for about a week? ha....
Who is spreading this ridiculous rumor? Secondly, Alphaworld has always taken long to restore because of the reasons offered by AWCI. PS - The biggest amount of people came to JunoDome when Juno started promoting it... -Agent1 [View Quote] goober kingDec 10, 2000, 6:24pm
I think whoever started that rumor be smokin' da crack pipe, if you
catch my drift. The only reason AW isn't up yet is because COF is getting pissy with their power company. If they ever come to an agreement, we might see AW again. Then again, knowing COF, I wouldn't hold yer breath. [View Quote] -- Goober King Mmmm... crack pipe... rar1 at acsu.buffalo.edu imagineDec 10, 2000, 6:36pm
sorry about my last post, I accidentally double clicked on reply to group
and it sent :( I do have a comment. Who is the "Some" in Some say? I think, unless you know the facts you should keep your nose out of that business and stop deliberately spreading rumors, which in this case would be some kind of slander if it isn't true :) Imagine [View Quote] zeroDec 10, 2000, 6:58pm
I didnt nor have any part in any rumor, but man is Juno packed!!
Anyhow, now is a perfect time to get out of Alpha World and explore some other very cool worlds... like for instance... Y2oOo! We have building available in an Egyptian setting, a full community and newsletter to boot! Plus some potential amazing happenings on the horizon! Sure its a blantant plug, but better than sitting on your virtual ass in awgate! Ps: Eeps need not apply [View Quote] [View Quote] -- Chris Waddell dmonix at home.com www.dmonix.net the derekDec 10, 2000, 8:34pm

silly lil Comit. :) My theory, (which is prolly wrong, but what the hey) is
that Juno just got a bit of advertising and grand opening fever, and that half of the people in the world are alien babies *looks down to see StickyLegs clinging to his avatarian legs* Hamfon, would you PLEASE get these cute lil creatures off our legs, mine is starting to go numb. :P Nornny [View Quote] the derekDec 11, 2000, 1:44am

I think its more likely that Juno was a priority to get up and running early
if there is a commercial agreement between them and AW. Probably nothing more sinister than that. Grims [View Quote] |
