Well actually my bot that 'spits' at people is a Preston. She has her uses
as I find the 'speech' script dictionary easy to add and remove. But I find
she does not handle aw crashes as well as the xelagot and I could never
figure out the techie parts of her program. She is more of a greeter,
obnoxious as she is *grins
The xelagot I use more for technical stuff and also an escort service for
the lonely at heart LMAO
I am also using one xelagot as a mirror and that one has turned out to be
alot of fun also.

tried a few different ways and also see no way to get it going, but would
like to give you a few tips on your codes anyway. You have many extra spaces
which takes time to load and also gets the BI itchy. Most spaces are not
needed. Although your codes do not work, will repeat them in way they should
read if did work LOL

create name a, visible off, color black
should read
create name a,visible no,color b

create visible off solid off ; create corona c_sun size=100, light
brightness=100 color=red fx=blink,time=1, solid off, visible off, name=a
should read
create visible no,solid no;(create - never repeated) bump visible a
yes,corona c_sun size=100, light brightness=100 color=red fx=blink
time=1,solid no,visible no, name=a

the ; is used to separate the creates and the others, never used twice.
Extra spaces annoy the BI and are not needed. create color b works in most
worlds and saves extra letters for black. The spaces are not necessary after
the commas.

Sorry cannot help with other, maybe cannot be done LOL but hope this at
least helps you out

sorry Nerwen but to us the Gate has always and should always be home port
for all of us builders and wanderers. Since I can remember there has always
been a Gate, open to all, new and old before there were even cits...it is
home because it is aw. You cannot understand this as you have not been here
long enough. Many of those 'tourists' are old cits, or visiting friends.
Many of those cits are actually new tourists. How could you ever separate
the two and why would anyone want to.
Many of us take our breaks from building at the Gate. For friendly
conversation and yes to check out the new arrivals. What better way to meet
people?
We get updates of information by listening. Hear of viruses in progress.
Talk about the weather and relax and meet new folk. That is AW....cit or
tourist. And it has always been that way at the Gate. Our birth into aw and
our home port through all the changes.
We pay for tourists to come into our worlds. I do like to take coffee breaks
at the Gate and get a feel for the people, including tourists. You wish to
separate us?
They give us variety. They are old friends. They are the possible new
friends.

long time ago when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I had dial-up. My world was
and is a large download. In order to avoid all the long waits after a cache
dump, I used to keep a file copy of the cache of my world separately on
desktop. I would empty cache, come into my world, load the whole thing, then
make a copy of that cache. That way I could explore as many worlds as I
wished, then when the cache became overloaded, I would delete the aw cache
copy and replace it with my stored copy of my world. Reloading the cache
(sometimes daily) would then take 1 minute instead of 10 reloading directly
from aw. That way I could visit as many worlds as I liked, then quickly
empty and reload the cache when needed (without crashing).
This can be done for any world. Choose your favourite world or worlds, load
its cache, and keep it as a spare. It is one way of surviving the dial-up
blues.

Wondering if anyone got permission from Active Worlds for the use of their
name in promoting these radio stations. I personally am sick of the spam and
would rather just turn on my dvd player and chose my own music for the
night. Also I will not click on any url's that the Immigration Officer has
not recommended (meaning they are backed and/or accepted as being AW
content). Why should anyone trust any so-called radio stations claiming to
be Active Worlds. Surely someone is breaking some kind of law somewhere LOL

In the old days many of us had spare accounts to store our names when we put
on an o or an e or our loved one's initials. Now at 70$ a year, it is a bit
too expensive for just storage. So many marriages etc back then, community
spirit etc. Wonder why AW has not figured out that people like to do this
and work out a way for us to do it without chancing losing our original
names. Would be nice if they would let us use the # after our names, not
registering anything after the # sign as is done in object making. This way
people could put their rings on, without it actually changing the name on
people's lists and without chance of someone jumping your original name.
Simple idea, maybe too hard for techies to figure out LOL

rooms. Anything after the # or a space should not count in regards to our

u. And then it Purges info you need? A log you may have to check a month
from now to match IP's....Think I am misunderstanding something here as I
would rather let the log log and know it will be there when needed. I don't

so call me old fashioned but until I am forced, I think I will stick with
the 3.4 for now. At least until everyone else has stopped bitching and has

language, as also computer language is not everyone's first language.
a. by the ranting and raving seems we DO have to learn the toolbar and
features. And yes 3.4 switch caused alot of old brains to have to function.
Now 3.5, geez I just got used to the 3.4 and have to start again (for no
real great improvements I may add this time)
b. why would anyone want key mapping. That is why the mouse was invented LOL
so we do not have to keep a map of all the keys in our brains other than
asdkghjkl;...we are going back in time with keys not forward
c. as far as Is ee we already have the option as world owners to allow
people to see who is there. They show up in whisperbox whether they spoke or
not. So what is the use of a new 'chart'. And Kah, please have some manners,
I do read carefully, but do not understand half of what you techies say. Try

cable also).

should be optional for alot of these options.
my comments about water and terrain are not dumb. I just stated I do not use
so have no comment on those two issues as am not informed enough to comment.

And as for complaining, isn't that our job as beta testers? LOL or is it
that they ONLY want to hear about the stuff we like, not dislike. And

I was wondering if they fixed the fly in 3.5 or do we still fall out of the
air when we bounce or teleport in air. That one fix for me will make the
whole thing worthwhile. (that and a much smaller object box LOL)

Recently I thought my sound card was dying. The music I play would slow and
speed up and have a warbling sound. The bot (which howls like a wolf) was
also warbling badly. I checked my whole system, but could not find the
problem.
Last night a friend asked me to check a web page with music. I noticed that
when I was clicked onto the browser of the music it played fine, but as soon
as I clicked onto the aw browser to tell him it was good, the sound messed
up. This surprised me as is exterior browser I use. I tried a few times and
same reaction. Then I noticed that when I was clicked onto the bot screen,
she howled properly until I clicked onto aw to type.
Thinking back I remembered putting the feature in options T+L for faster
loading. Removing that, all sounds became normal. The music played fine even
clicked onto aw, and the bot finally howls like a worf and not warbling like
a drunken bird.
No idea if anyone else has experienced this, and not knowing what it is also
thinks their sound card is dying (because that is really what it sounds like
LOL) but I thought I would pass this on and maybe save someone some grief
and a few bucks

It was not the aw sound....that is usually off. The T+L option messed up the
QuickTime player, Windows Media and also the bot sound (which is another
program) when I clicked on the aw browser to type or read. With aw browser
open but not clicked on the music worked fine. It did also mess up the dog
bark I have for telegram sound. Not realizing that T+L in the aw browser
could ruin the sound of the other programs when actively using the aw
browser with other programs, I was sure my sound card was dying LOL but with
T+L unchecked the sound is perfect.

(if you thought that I am very sorry), I was dissing a belief against us
that is wrong.
Your God is all around you, they say, in the rocks and trees LOL we just
gave them names....but they are all part of the God and Goddess (male and
female...doesn't this make any sense?). They are not false gods. They ARE
the God (of both sexes).
Now as for the Devil. Yes your writings say about Lucifer. That is why I
call it a Christian myth. The so called God of the pagans has been around
long before any Lucifer. Long before the writing of that book. I would think
more that some man took the pagan god and wrote a story about the Devil
(dancing and singing and all round partying at that time being considered
evil). We all have our beliefs, who is right and who is wrong? But I do
insist on saying my mind when peaceful wiccans are called devil worshippers,
knowing what Devil means in most people's minds. So my post was more against
Bowen and not meant as any form of slander against Christians.
500,000 pagans were executed in europe alone during the witch hunts. I do

Yellow died when AW killed the tourists. Is that somewhat anti-american to
not allow tourists in a National Park. Kind of ironic anyway.
I was a long time Yellow cit. A group of people in a very active
controversual world. Trouble makers we were called. Maybe trouble but was a
fun active world. Many becoming cits because of the friendships and freedom
in that world. For many years the cits argued over the G rating, even
staging strikes (bitchfest as it was called LOL). AW gave in by giving
another world WildAW. That is not what the cits wanted or needed. They
needed Yellow to be a place that was rated higher than G. Cits started
leaving, tired of being treated as children. AW increased the rating to PG
but then stated ok PG but not at GZ,. Then they killed the tourists. Yellow
died, Mars died, Alpha (our second home) died. Just another example of AW
not listening to what the people need. No problem, life goes on LOL
I have one build in Yellow, a territory that I protected and built in. Yes,
protected against tourist by destruction of their ugly builds (I would copy
and protect the good ones, destroy floating toilets LOL)...Mean? Nahh....was
part of the game. I protected my territory, and many many of those tourists
learned a good lesson and became cits to build and protect their own. It was
fun times of building, hunting, helping the good newbies and making
friendships at same time. Over time my build got bigger, now being I think
maybe the longest building leading to the biggest building in AW. (*pats own
back). If you would like to see what you can do in a world with lousy
objects (was only world my old computer could handle for building) with a
bit of imagination, please feel free to visit 400N 400E Yellow where the
main teleports are located. Its a sad and lonely place my old home world and
willl continue to be empty for as long as AW insists on being stubborn about
both not letting tourists visit and charging worlds for tourist access....AW
will continue to die

haha yes that little Ode was written for me by a friend long ago. I was a
destroyer as a tourist for a long long time before becoming Cit. That person
convinced me to try my hand at building (or should I say over-building heh)
and after all that time as a destroyer I found I had also a skill as a
builder LOL. I then got my Cit in order to protect my builds but I continued
in my merciless destruction of bad builds at Yellow LMAO....Yes tourists are
necessary as they are the future AW cits once pissed off at me enough. Still
believe I should have got a commission for every pissed off tourist that
became a Cit because of me....I would be a rich woman now *winks

here in Quebec laws have been passed concerning USA entertainment, as I am
sure they have been in other countries. And yes USA has bent over backwards
to comply with these new laws because there is a market. No product,
including movies, is allowed to be sold or distributed here in Québec unless
a french copy with french labeling and instructions is available FIRST. This
law also covered labelling and packaging of food which must be bilingual.
Not sure how all this could relate to internet as is still such a young
market nobody really seems to know which laws apply but the fact is that any
company must cater to the whims of the country he wishes to sell to.

We at Taurius would like to thank the Academy for the award of top twenty
(19??) worlds worth hacking. We accept this award with humility but declare
ourselves undeserving as 99% of our objects are unpassworded Mega objects so
cannot claim any prize for them. And as for that other 1% we are pleased and
amazed to be honoured with such acclaim. We only bothered passwording last
month and look forward to repasswording everything again. We wish to thank
our mentor and teacher (who wishes to remain nameless due to possible
lawsuits LOL) and apologize to him and the thieves for any inconvenience our
badly made objects may cause or have caused due to our only starting very
recently in this endeavour. Some of our objects cause enough lag to crash
Windows, for this we apologize. One such object actually causes such a
problem as to have made us have to format our computers. Some of our objects
seem to have some kind of hidden booby traps, for this we apologize. One
such object causes AW browser to close down, also making it impossible to
get close enough to the object to destroy it before crashing. If these
objects are placed in your home world, you cannot even get into AW itself
because you will crash before you can change your 'home' (you will have to
uninstal AW and reinstal). A few techies and even AW cannot figure this one
out. Taurius is a very small world and we really do not know what were are
doing or not doing with objects as use no programs except paper, pencils and
a big eraser but we walk now with pride knowing that our badly made objects
are worth stealing and can make it onto a list of top 20 worlds.
