Windows 2000 is very reliable, apparently. Now is it trustworthy? LOL.
That depends on how many security patches you apply.

Maybe. I dunno. Or maybe it was an artifact of the FAT16 system or
something to do with FireWire, since that is the business of my uncle.

To be quite blunt, blanket statements like that are rarely, if ever, true.
Perhaps there should be better training and screening of GK's though. There
are too many complaints and every single one of them can't be false.

There's another one. Come on, Bowen. Not all GK's are bad. Some are
pretty good. It just seems that their screening procedures are getting a
little lax. Throwing words at the problem won't help. Getting the GK
leaders to control their volunteers will.
QuikWord should also be used a little less. Personalization brings people
in. :)

Well, that's it. If there's anything good that I said about A!!CT, let it
stand that those comments don't necesarily apply to its owner. You of all

You, sir, victimize yourself far too much. And everyone you hire seems to
have a megalomaniac problem. Is it just me, or is everyone involved in a
staff position at A!!CT have a anti-social complex?
Please, proofread. Single paragraph 2 page long posts don't make for good
reading. And since nobody reads what you type, your words fall on blind
eyes and you end up coming off looking like someone so arrogant he can't
find any fault in himself. Now, either that's the case, or perhaps you'd
like to clarify. In less than 100 words, if possible.
And pick better people who know how to handle things privately. You don't
just hire people off the street to do your yard work, do you? Pick people
you know to help you run your world, or you'll end up as the Ed Smart of the
Virtual world, in more ways than one.
Respectfully submitted,
Chris

You forget too easily. You posted this "Whitestar is wrong" post. You
initiated this second round.
Unfortuantely, nobody but myself really cares. It's all happened before,
and you haven't fixed the problem yet. This community has given you
sympathy before, but your errors have become full-blown mistakes which you
just haven't corrected yet. It does get tiresome to listen to. Just who is
responsible for what goes on in your world, Mr. Bruce? Pick better people
to help run your world, and maybe you won't have this problem over and over
again.

Actually we learned in Stats class that if you disseminate the data
correctly, anything over a sample of 30 is representative of the entire
population. You will just have a higher standard error than if the sample

Brant, the answer was no because the city was getting too big to move and
most of us didn't want to deal with it, despite the obvious advantages and
the offered perks by you at the time. BITTER!? NO! I'M NOT BITTER! :P
With all due respect baro, we tried to move the city before, a year and a
half ago, and if the motion had passed the council vote, it would have taken
months. work.
It really is darn near impossible to move now. It takes me three days to
make a propdump of just the main island on a broadband connection, let alone
all the other little villages and islands out there now. AWTeen's the
biggest world out there for this kind of thing, Baro, and it can't even hold
SW City anymore.
Surely you aren't suggesting we give up the largest city in Alphaworld in
history for a few extra features that really should have been enabled
already in AWI's flagship world?

Uh, the text "Surely you aren't suggesting we give up the largest city in
Alphaworld in history..." should read "Surely you aren't suggesting we give
up the largest city in Alphaworld _to_ history...":

Well you're not supposed to know. But you are supposed to consider the fact
that things are often more complicated than they appear. The simplest
solution is not always the easiest or the most ideal. Yours is certainly
the simplest.
Besides, if those features caused AW trouble, it would cause all worlds with
registries trouble. The program is only limited by the code and there are
two solutions. Change the code. Or delete the registry. That's the
reality of it, in my limited Vulcan logic.

I certainly doubt that, LP.
Enzo, how will vandalism become more of a problem? It hasn't increased in
AWteen.

Vegas Video 4 has all the options of Adobe Acrobat and it's about 10 times
easier to learn.

And here's why I know so:

Read the testimonies here and decide for yourself. Both are powerful
editing suites. Vegas 4 is only $150 on an academic license if you're still
in college.

1st offense on Cal's part. Sheesh. Ya screw up once and you get a lecture.

to stop universe-browsing, CD would have been much more willing to comply.
Instead, Cal grabs the EULA and spews off something that is completely false
to try and enforce his position legally. Could be that Cal was simply having
a bad day (he's usually very polite and responsive), but there's no reason
to take it out on customers.

exactly like this one, then matters might be different. But for a first
time, this is close to the worst customer relation skill I've ever seen -
especially for something which isn't clearly expressed in the EULA. My guess
is that there's a hidden clause in the EULA that says "By accepting this
EULA, you hereby agree that AWI or its nominal equivalent may do whatever it
wants, whenever it wants, wherever it wants."
>
> PS: Making the thread off-limits made AWI's position considerably weaker.
By closing the thread, you basically proved the point that you were caught
in the wrong and didn't feel up to taking any criticism over it. Way to go!
