Well before you go out and buy a new video card... see if you can't borrow
a friend's to see if Jernau's idea is correct. Then if it is, and you still
have a warranty on the card, trade it in for a different model because
chances are some component on it is fried.

Censorship is a token word that is thrown about by people who feel
threatened that they can't say anything they want when and where they want
to. Look around you. The world is full of censorship, even the United
States of America. In most cases, such censorship leads to a productive and
positive atmosphere. The question is not about censorship. It's the
question of this level of censorship creating a productive and positive
atmosphere in the Gate.

I agree with you. But that "conflict" also wasn't a flame war. It was a
good example of how to have a civil debate (most of the time :P) in these
newsgroups. Nowhere do you see people tossing insults back and forth. I
think I have to point this out because there seem to be several around who
think that any debate that extends beyond 20 replies is automatically a
flame war.

I wasn't advocating any opinion whatsoever in that post. But in my opinion,
and I'm assuming being "jumped at" means being yelled at in caps or being
warned of ejection in a threatening manner by a Gatekeeper, in that
particular case it wasn't a productive environment.
The reason why the word censorship is a token word that people use is
because it has such a negative stigma attached to it. But censorship's
definition is only to limit the expression of something. And there are
different levels of doing that. Like all words, they weren't originally
intended to bring either positive or negative feelings to those who hear it.
For instance, the anti-libel laws in most first-world nations are a form of
censorship. And that leads to a positive and productive environment. But
there is a higher level of censorship that exists in most dictatorships.
The free press is censored from saying anything bad about its government.
That is a higher level of censorship. Do you see where I'm going with this?
If everyone here is actually serious about moving the level of censorship to
one where it leads to a productive and positive atmosphere, then you're
going to have to go talk to the head Gatekeeper, and you're going to have to
be armed with plenty of documented cases where Gatekeepers have abused their
power to eject. And you're going to have to approach the head GK with
respect and perhaps even a little flattery to get your point across and
advocate a position that is fair and equitable. Disbanding the Gatekeepers
or disallowing their use to eject anyone at anytime are not good positions
to take!
To my knowledge nobody's done this yet.

on my credit card or extra spam sent to my address from you. The company
that owns TheGame world is real, even if it is categorized as a small
business and not a corporation. Really guys, you should know to trust small
businesses more than corporations. I can think of plenty of evil
corporations... like... Microsoft. ;) TheGame is real. You have nothing
to fear from them.

Conspiracy is a delicate fruit. 'Tis sweet, yet spoils quickly. Ohh! I
like that. *writes it down* :P

Yes, looking at it from that point of view, two dollars a week isn't that
much. If you have an allowance of any kind, you should be able to save
that. If the issue is that you can't use a credit card, well then, I don't
have the answer for you right off the bat. But I believe you should be able
to send a money order. AW Support will have details on that.

This is the same concept that lawmakers use to boost tax rates. There's
almost always a little box to check YES or NO to a half cent tax increase
for something or other. Enough of those amount to some pretty significant
tax increases over the years. Keep that in mind when you're old enough to
vote. :P

Yes I believe my uncle said something about this to me last summer, only he
related it to video editing, as it apparently is a major problem and one
reason Non-linear editors were created.
File sizes over something like 1.5 or 2 GB can't be moved or copied or
something because of the way windows handles data. Is that right, Enzo,
Cal?
Huh... all this time I thought you guys just ran out of hard drive space.
:P
