80 Votes have been cast which is more than double the votes cast the last
time this issue was addressed.
Clearly, what the citizens want is for tourists to have access to all
worlds, but with restricted build rights (63.75% of those who voted said
that).
Everyone wants to see the worlds alive with tourists once again.
Also, world owners, keep making your opinions known. You help make the
difference!
How about it AWI?

Oh god shes at it again
May 10, 2003, 9:49am
Ok....we have a statistic from cits, now how about a survey from
tourists?
Maybe ask them which worlds they are interested in accessing and
building in?
Also asking them if they could access and build in requested
worlds....how soon do they anticipate before becoming a citizen?
I dearly love tourists, but I for one would not be able to afford a
price increase to cover their usage.
Be careful what you wish for:)

Can't you just shutup? We know already! They aren't gonna change it. The
current system works great.

The Lady please don't run away with the opinion that you are the first one
to attempt this, getting a vote, getting support, trying to get the tourists
back, because you are not, many have done it, many have failed, it is a
futile battle, you will not win. So it is best to just let your attempts die
off. For it will of course as everyone says, never happen.

world, thank you very much.

The lady, here is my suggestion.
Get each and every citizen who supports this to leave aw for a few weeks...
and say if tourists dont come we'll leave for good.. maybe they'll change
their minds then!

What if AWI could reverse it and instead of world owners paying to have
tourists allowed...having them pay to be able to control them not entering a
world owners world?
Or better yet, charge each tourist $5.00 more per year to have open access
to all worlds?
Just a thought:)

ya! a lite citizenship! why not have a make your own citizenship? you have
options, the one you want you click, the ones you dont you leave. so saving
builds is $20 all worlds is $15, contact list is $10, telegrams is $10, only
if you have contacts enabled thou. and something else can be 15 lol.

Here is what I think! The Lady you are FULL OF SHIT! You got the nerve to
go into AW a put a sign in front of a Citizens road and that citizen Asked
you to move it as did a PK that you wrote Shit about on this News Group!
Well you would not move that sign RIGHT? Now you tell me Why the fuck you
so worried about Visitors when you can Walk over a AW Citizen like you have
done?
Next thing I want to say is, If you give somebody Something for Free, right
then why the FUCK would they have to pay for anything JC lets get a grip on
this thing! If aw is going to be nice to the visitors then We the Citizens
will pay for it and I am not willing to DO THAT! Now what aw could do is
have a Happy hour every day 1 or 2 hours a day at different times each day
so everybody would have a chance to check AW OUT!

For those less adventurous people, here are the results of the AWNews
(http://www.awnews.org) so far:
What sort of restrictions should tourists have?
None; Same as citizens, but only as a 30-day trial - 1.25 % (1)
Access and build rights in all worlds - 12.50% (10)
Access to all worlds, but restricted build rights - 63.75% (51)
Keep them as is, but lower world "tourist fee" - 5.00% (4)
Everything is fine the way it is now - 2.50% (2)
Access to AWI worlds only and no build rights - 5.00% (4)
Access to AWGate only - 0.00% (0)
Other (explain in comment) - 10.00% (8)
Total votes: 80
Now, I know that more than 80 people use AW, so if you haven't voted
already, do so now! The more people who vote, the more likely AWI will
actually pay attention!

Goober King
Mad pollster
gooberking at utn.cjb.net

Well, since prices are much higher than what they used to be, there's a big
chance that most tourists will try to get by with building with 0 for a
longer period of time before registering. So, there might be many more
people loading the server down, but small percentage of those becoming
citizens, which will result in more money being lost by AWI? Not sure.
Not as much incentive to pay 6.95 per month when you can build, chat, do
everything except you have the vulnerability of having your place deleted.
And as big as Alpha World is, you can pretty much count on safely being able
to build with 0 for a very long time. Just the ability to have tourists
chat (with no building allowed) in all AWI public worlds sounds more
reasonable and a safer bet for the time being in my opinion. I guess the
thing to keep in mind is, weighing all the new features we get by paying
more on one side and being fair with but keeping tourist perks to a minimum
(along with keeping citizens happy at GZ's) on the other.
I'll get Goober King's opinion regarding a poll.
