After being ejected, I had no idea why. I didn't break ANY =

no idea why this had to happen. It could be something with what happened =
yesterday in the gate with Craig, but I am not sure. I am very =
disappointed in the current GK program. If this kind of behavior keeps =
up, I can guarantee you they won't be seeing another $20 for my renewal =
next year, nor any referrals from other tourists from registering. They =
really need better screening and more careful monitoring of your GKs.=20

move command

Hi,

I went to check out the special commands option in the world/rights, and
mine is grayed out. I have an updated world server and my browser is
updated, both to 3.1. Is there something else I need to do to be able to use
the move command? The rotate is working fine, so I think 3.1 is working ok,
except i'm not able to use the move in my world.

Well, I can use the move command now, but the special commands in
world/rights is still grayed out. I haven't talked to my world host since I
sent the email to him so I am assumeing he did something to fix it. When I
do talk to him i'll see what he did to make it work and let you know :)

You must be doing something wrong in accutrans. Go to Andras news group,
news.andras.net, and ask in the accutrans ng. The accutrans programer may
answer your questions himself and fix the errors. I know he likes to know
when people get errors so he can fix them :) Don't give up on accutrans yet,
it could be something simple giveing the error :)

Excuse me? No one is dropping anything like that in my world.
And I will be the first to start a group against it if it's made possible to
do so without the world owners permission.
As for dropping beacons to listen in other worlds, well I don't know that I
would want to visit the other worlds knowing that some one in another world
could hear my conversations, perhaps without my knowing. This is called
spying. I am against this idea totally.
If james w wants to chat while he builds, he can call his friends in to chat
with him. There is no need to listen in on other peoples conversations.
As for wisper, it's fine for short comments in private, but it is a real
pain when trying to carry on an entire conversation.
Just my opinion :)

I don't really think going to the trouble to make a beacon is necessary
anyway because there are bots that can already do that. A friend of mine
sometimes sends his bot to my world to talk to me while he works elsewhere.
I don't mind that, if I know the bot was sent. What I do mind, is when some
one I don't know sends a bot to listen in on what's going on in my world.
You are right they can be ejected if I know they are there. They will show
on my wisper list, but I dont' always scan my list to see who is on it, so I
will miss a bot comeing in at times. That is when my conversations are being
spied on. Useing a bot should be enough since every cit num can run up to 3
bots at a time. I don't see why or how anyone would handle more
conversations then that. So, I don't see a need for a beacon.

I thought he wanted a way to talk to his friends while he builds. Well if
the beacon can hear all conversations in the worlds it is dropped in, then
his screen would be flooded and he would have a hell of a time trying to
keep up with a conversation with his friends and build at the same time. Oh
well maybe he is a speed reader. :)

I just opened 3 bots at one time, and this is on Hamfons site:

HamBot supports up to twenty simultaneous Bots (although ActiveWorlds.com
currently limits you to three simultaneous bots on one citizen number).

There are bots that can be linked so you can have 3 bots open, each in a
seperate world and still see all the chat from those worlds on only one
screen. Magine says magbot will do that. No switching from screen to screen
:)
If they do put a beacon option on the aw browser, I hope they also put a
world owner option that would disallow the use of it in the world without
permission.

Maybe the poeple complaining should teach a class about how to post in the
news group. Maybe start another news group for it.
What to snip; when to snip. When to use commas, quotations and qhestion
marks and how to put them in the proper order and places. Maybe add a course
on proper replies. How many question marks to use, when to use a smilly
face, when not to use one. For the people in countries other then america,
how to speak proper english, so they won't get blasted when they don't use
proper english grammer. And while you're at it lets not forget to make it
manditory for graduation that they must learn all there is to learn about aw
so they won't make the mistake of posting a newbe question. I am being
sarcastic BTW.
You poeple pick on to many people over the most childish things. Sure AMF
has had plenty of warning, and should be more responsible in his posting, I
agree with that. But, That doesn't excuse the battering you all do just
because some one is new or just because you don't agree with their post. Or,
because they don't have the same tech training as you. I am not mentioning
names, but we all know who you are. And because of you, a lot of people
choose not to post in the news groups.
In my opinion, if you don't have the answer to a question posted you
shouldn't post anything. If the subject of the post doesn't have anything to
do with you you shouldn't post on it. If a newbe posts something that isn't
apropriate then he/she should be guided in the right direction. I have
noticed that along with your guidance sofar you most always through in some
insult or snide remark, just to make them feel like dirt. You people who do
this are childish and should look at your own actions before trying to tare
down some one else for not knowing the so called news group rules. Well
along with the news group rules there are personal rules thoughen in by
members of the news group and that is what is childish.
Who cares if broken english is used as long as the person is understood. Who
cares if the quotations are missused as long as the post is understood. Who
cares if the seperation of paragraphs aren't there as long as the post is
understood. Who cares if things are misspelled as long as the post is
understood.You all complain about these things and other things yet you seem
to fully understand each and every post you are complaining about. I see
that complaining as childish; complaining just to complain and get your name
into the news groups to look like a big person. It's disgusting. Ok, that is
my opinion like it or not. My spelling is bad most of the time and I know my
punctuation is way off in this post, and I don't care, so don't bother to be
childish enough to attack me over it, cause I know you who are doing this
childish stuff understands full well what I am saying and who I am saying it

Maybe you shouldn't have stopped after the first paragraph, then you would
have noticed that I was complaining about people like you, who dwell on such

I did not come to this news group to get spelling lessons and most people

In case your response was meant for me. This command works for me, create
light brightness=10000000000000000000000000000000000000000
It adds the black light to my objects.
I did read this post old man, and I thought the point of the original post
was that this command works to add the black light. Ok, maybe the negative
light was omitted from 3.1 and the command is a bug so you can't officially
call it a negative light command, but it works to give the same effect.
Am I misunderstanding the point of the original post?

What you are talking about is what I have always heard called as a AW ghost.
It happens when some ones connection burps or disconnects for a few
seconds. Or if you disconnect from AW and come back before the old
connection is fully disconnected from AW. Have you ever disconnected from AW
and tried to reconnect and it said your account was already being used? Well
that is your AW ghost still trying to disconnect from AW, in some cases you
actually reconnect before it disconnects and that's when you see your ghost.
It has been happening to a lot of people ever since I first came to AW, more
so in 2.2. I haven't seen it happen since 3.0 came out. Anyway like some one
said it is a old problem which for some reason you are still having. Nothing
to be worried about, the ghost usually disappears after a few seconds. I
have never seen one stay for more then 2 minutes.
