Dosen't anyone think the AW gz is getting a bit old. I mean yeah its nice
and everything but I think it would make a nice change for somthing new. Its
not even like AW GZ is lagless either, on my old ocmp it used to lag me like
hell at times...

I mean look at AWGate GZ; simple yet impressive and AWGate is one of the
busiest worlds in AW...

AWTeen is a good example, with new GZ themes almost monthly and while I
appreiciate that that isnt possible with AW GZ. Maybe a new design is in
order?

I mean AW could even hold a contest for AW's best builds to enter a
competition and design a GZ the winner being used, or somthing like that...

Anyone agree? or disagree?

They're showing Deep Impact on tv in 50 minutes here. If you are fast enough
you can place AW GZ at the place the meteor hits. Then we still have the
whole weekend to rebuild the place.

At one point AWUniv2's building contest was to rebuild AWGZ and AWCI WAS
going to use the winner to replace it, but midway through the contest, they
backed out.

Well... Yes... It should be changed a little. They even changed
AWSchool all different too. And AWGate. But AW GZ... But sometimes
it's just nice to come home... And as soon as you get there...
It's the same nice cozy place you left it. [Like in a house or appartment]
So sometimes NOT cahnging something can be just as homey and nice as
a place in constant change.

I agree that it's nice to be able to feel at home, but some times it's nice
to be able to through out the ratty old furniture and replace it with nice
cozy new furniture. It's also nice to just rearrange the old furniture. And
it still feels like home. :)

Yeah, although historically and sentimentally important, it's nothing that
can't be moved and saved. :) I don't think anyone wants a HUGE change to the
gz, but a few modifications to get up to speed of 3.1 wouldn't hurt. :) It
is one of the more populated gz's and it really doesn't show AW all the
time.

Couldn't agree more. Take a good look at GZ and you'll see it's really
sloppy, there's majorly outdated stuff there, and one of the ads even has a
typo in it. There's some z buffering in one of the corners, and a lot of
unnecessary crap there. Not to mention, overuse of the rotate command looks
corny. Heck, not even all the ground is covered.

A lot of new people are going to be seeing that GZ first, the GZ should
really show what AW can do, you know?

I agree with the best builds idea =)

And their lame attempt to add more ad space to GZ with that overhead sign is
demented. You can't even see the thing unless you're looking for it.

I agree, and the overhead sign is useless too, I think a few new textures,
maybe some nice zobs that you only see at GZ to keep them special, and less
damned advertisments all over place, its annoying, lol...
