Contact billing at activeworlds.com. Last I checked, it was $20 for an increase by 1 (or is it 3?).

I wish aw would follow some of their own promises :-)

I completely agree. Tourists should not be able to use names that belong to citizens. It may restrict their name choice a bit, but that's what happens when you're a tourist.

Perhaps we should simply force names like "Guest-<some random number>" for tourists...

[View Quote] > When you buy a cit it says "Reserve a unique citizen name for your use." yet when you go into any world, with tourist enabled, a tourist can use your name, this becomes increasingly awkward in worlds with chatforwarding, or chatbots. I think that when we buy cits we should get to keep our name, and not let tourist be able to use them..

Cache Suggestions

The only problem with a network drive is that AW does *not* tolerate any kind of interruption to the drive; it's very easy to cause the browser to crash by running it from a network drive.

"Inquery" is very very close to "inquiry" ('a search for knowledge'), so this is more likely what Eep meant.

The bot mentioned is the ChatRelayBot, available at http://crb.3dhost.net

Version 3.0 build 118 is currently available, with 3.1 currently in closed-alpha testing.

The CRB does not, as you implied, have an auto-eject function.

E-mail assistance for CRB is available at support at crb.3dhost.net or by posting on the CRB forums.

There could always, as usual, be an option to disable the graphical emoticons.

suggestion about <register now>

Sep 6, 2004, 2:50am
If you register through the AW browser (by using the "Register Now" button), there is currently no method provided for using PayPal; Tengel's suggestion is to add PayPal to the browser registration.

[View Quote] > O does aw use paypal system? or need to use it?..I always just call them on the phone and charge my tab with them. Not sure I trust paypal system so much. I would rather pay directly to the seller of a product myself.

AW is the home of vampires...

I remember visiting Worlds a few months ago, and they have a real implementation of mirrors in RenderWare 2.x.

It leaves you to wonder just how efficiently AW is making use of RenderWare.

[View Quote] > We need reflections in aw, doesn't worlds.com have it? and they use old technology *points at e n z o* use your ninja skills and steal the source! or write it yourself :) c'mon it'd only lag half the dial up users, but shoe of us on cable would love you...

AW is the home of vampires...

Sep 6, 2004, 7:32pm
RenderWare DLLs are found among the program files, so I can only assume it's using RenderWare... unless someone just never bothered to clean up the installer or something.

So we could just turn this admin-only notes section into a public one. You could call it "personal user notes", or something.

MY WISH

Sep 17, 2004, 12:41am
The only group with a charter is 'community'. As far as I'm aware, the other groups have no official charter.

[View Quote] > 5-6 reposts? Isn't that considered spamming? Where are E N Z O when you need him? The newsgroup charter, as I'm sure it does, make it clear that spamming in the newsgroup are strictly prohibited. I'm sure many of our folks here are tired of reposting of same contents over and over in same place so that's considered spamming.

chat relay bot for Gate

Nov 25, 2004, 4:18am
I'm not sure I understood what you've said here; the CRB does not (and will never) have a feature to replace words with other words.

It's also not clear what you mean by the CRB causing problems in a world such as AWGate; what problems would it cause?

it is a MENU ITEM, not a BUTTON. you need to learn how to search
efficiently.
