Hey, just wondering if anyone can recommend a good mail client for Win32
(CYGWIN will do too), as I'm tired of OE not working anymore, and as MS has integrated it into the system I can't reinstall it properly either. It doesn't really need a GUI if it's got a *good* command-line type shell interface (such as PINE on UNIX). Thanks in advance for any suggestions :-)) KAH Recommendation for mail client?Mar 3, 2003, 3:32pm

That it doesn't happen to support MS's own mutant HTML version is just as well in my view. IE loads fine for me too, but I still use NS7 because I feel like using quality software and not some insecure piece of junk. If they block users running non-IE browsers they're very stupid. If a site doesn't work right for me in NS, I just won't visit it, too bad for the site owner. Especially if it's a commercial site that'll want to sell me something. I've just switched > Amberlin to "Huge". (BTW, thanks guys for that suggestion!) OpenGL is 3D API (like DirectX/D3D). It's Open Source (thus the Open) and cross-platform, in contrast to DirectX, which is proprietary and only available (natively) on Win32 (DX8.1 and up is not even available on win95). OGL can be faster in some cases and slower in others. It depends a lot of your video card and how well it supports OGL. Just try it to see if it'll do the business. KAH XP and AWMar 7, 2003, 5:59pm

I must enfacise that in reality OGL really is superior to DX/D3D, but unfortunately RW3's implementation of it isn't all too good. According to this list: http://www.renderware.com/customers_pages/customers_games_fr.htm GTA III and GTA Vice City, among a lot of other big titles, are powered by RenderWare. I'm not sure if this is a newer and improved version or wether it's the 3D engine or the other tools they've developped under the RenderWare brandname. For the price they payed to get the three RW3 engines, I bet they could've licensed the darn QIII engine, which is far superior. Granted, it would take some conversion, but the switch to RW3 did too. Bill Clinton was a democrat. George W. Bush is a republican. That's why. They tried for a peacefull resolution during the nineties, you have to acknownledge that. Iraq is not exactly keen to cooperate with the UN and the rest of the world, there is some truth in the US and UK's dismissal of the apparent Iraqui cooperation (that they're just playing games, first saying they won't comply, then change direction at the last moment).
