They keep vanishing, as you say, because your newsreader is set up to

Just tried a search in FAST's FTP search for "awb" and it turned this stuff

It's not off-topic here (except in Brock's deranged NGTAWNG-influenced

Uh, no. It seems a good idea to make it an open beta, since you'll get a
much bigger pool of setups to run it on. They haven't added features for a
long time and have been working on bugfixes/adjustments for months, so it's
a good time to try them out in a larger group of testers. A beta is not
about what you like or what you don't like, that's up to the designers of
the software, and should be dealt with before starting to write code for a
new version. If people hate the stuff in 3.4, there's a chance they might
change it in the next version, but the beta is there to find bugs and real
problems, not preference. Anyway, it seems some of the beta testers weren't
too competent, or didn't report anything at all, so it might be a good idea
to let everyone report things.

I don't have a habit of pissing in people's cornflakes :-P

Anyway, I'm just fed up with BB's attitude that older people are much wiser
and generally better than young people. He's shown this several times in
different contexts, and it's just plain ridiculous. So I let him have a bit
of his own medicine, I didn't feel like reiterating my arguments yet
another time, he's heard them before and couldn't care less.

There you go. In this case you didn't directly imply that older people
are any wiser, but you have done many times before, and you know it. You
did imply that "the young crowd" are a no good and can't take authority.
That's consistent with your general attitude, as anyone bothered to dig
a bit in the newsgroups would see.

I haven't got a problem with you. I have a problem with your attitude,

But off course, mr Leo Mauk, the Oh Great BinaryBud, has the right to do
that. Again, you prove that you completely and utterly ignore everything
one says to you, and that you refuse reason.

Why would he care about your age (you've hinted to it many times anyway),
your identity (which is known as well) or your gender (from your name one
can assume you're male)? Even if you were a ten-year old girl, it wouldn't
really matter, as you're trying to impress upon us that you're somewhere

Actually, most of the time your comments make you look like an ass, that's

That would require them to actually write a software renderer. Software
rendering is fast becoming obsolete, because most people have decent HAL 3D
accelerators, so it's not worth the time nor money. Unless you want to use
the D3D Reference Rasterizer, which is as speedy as a one-legged 200-year

They could just make the invisible panel (in one object) a wee bit wider
than the open space, which would eliminate the slide detection problem. And
a bot could very easily eject anyone who tries, while they're in the air...

I noticed some invalid "class" attributes in the <input> tags, seems
related to CSS. Don't see why it's there, the people who make PostNuke
themes don't know their HTML well enough I guess. Reading the stylesheet I
guess it's to counter styling-stupidity in IE.

I don't think you understand. HTML is defined by a standard. It's WRONG to
write HTML that doesn't respect the standard. You can make really cool and
great-looking pages while still being 100% standard-compliant. It's all
about skills, you see. Those people who make pages that only work in IE 5+
full of eyecandy are actually completely devoid of skill (except in

Uh, no. All the table tricks I use validate fine (some can break NS 4.x
though, but that's not my problem). If you use HTML 4.01 and CSS 2, you can
get some really neat designs that will (should) work in all standard-
compliant browsers. (IE has a tendency to mess some things up, though, but
I did say standard-compliant).

If you think you have skills in HTML authoring, then learn how to use
tables right.

Because it's powered by the PostNuke CMS. It's generally very easy to
