After reading all your posts to date 357730, you are quite eloquent at
writing.
Do you have positions for av makers? Hmmmmmmmmm???
I'd love to get into 4.1 beta just for the purpose of finding out how my avs
will work LOL. I hear avs are the same as the current version right now but
that we might get skinning ability in a later version, if this is correct
I'd love to be in on the ground floor (learning curve) of making skinned avs
now so that I can be ready when the time comes.
Although, I'm of the opinion that my partner and my avs rock as is/are LOL

BTW I sure hope you'd consider my envirobox over current aw type skyboxes or
backdrops. My envirobox (my skybox on steroids ;o} ) allows the user to have
a mountain scene (for instance) but the sky part is transparent so the user
can use aw's sky colors plus clouds, stars, etc.
My envirobox idea rocks (although admittedly others may have thought of it
also LOL) ... you can see it in action at Aeon, better yet gram me when you
see me on and I'll give you a *demonstration* ... the envirobox is FREE for
d/l at my site (you can find that from that aw IE browser when you arrive in
Aeon, once there go to the gallery, the envirobox in my world is EnviroSet2
or something like that).
An envirobox will be great for worlds that need to change skies according to
the time of day, but need the mountains (or whatever the backdrop is) to
remain the same or similar except for shading (day to night).
I can of course make *more* if needed. One of my skyboxes is currently in
use in a real game made in Germany :o}

Have the window *or graphic) you want to capture on top, hold down CTRL key

Actually ObjectD' was actively managed last by Daphne I think, or she was
heavily into it's care. She and I, along with Mountain Myst, were in the
process of putting me on the world CT list because Daphne needed out ...
unfortunately Daphne passed away soon after our discussions and Mountain
Myst left AW so the ball was dropped. I know of others who have volunteered
to CT ObjectD' as well. I think there was another CT (Casey?) at that time
also, and she may well still be CT. I had also offered to take on the
webpages, etc.
I believe it IS an AWI owned world/website although I'm not sure who started
it, I believe it was started by an x-cit, a french cit at that as *I think*
I've heard it's full name was Object d' ActiveWorlds shortened to ObjectD'.
Although there are alot of nice free objects there, to my knowledge you
cannot currently contribute as there is no active CT to send stuff to.
ObjectD' staff was very careful to only take models that loaded fairly
quickly whereas Freebies ... the sky's the limit.
Drac did a wonderful job and his hard work was appreciated by many, myself
included.

Hiya Cryonics ... nice to see you posting here :o}
Getting a prop dump of Freebies world would rock! But even better than that,
once you do get the dumps, would be to UP the size of the world considerably
and reorganize it ... there were massive amounts of objects and going there
is lag city. So, if you do get the dumps ... please take the time to make
the world bigger and spread things out better (I'd be willing to help
reorganize it as I have offered to him before) ... that would do Drac some
well deserved honor :o}

A HUGE thank you to all involved in setting up the hunt. My world Aeon, and
my sista's world Anduin, are loaded with gifts and bots and ready for the
hunt. Please be sure to go and preload each world before the hunt (not just
our worlds but all other worlds in the hunt) so that you won't have to load
when the time comes but can click til ya drop! Here's a *how to play* quick
tips for those who don't know, it is listed on the webpage also but may not
be listed in individual participating worlds ...
--> In order for the presents you find to count for the hunt, just click on
the present object, that's all there is to it!!!
The bots monitoring the hunts will keep a tally for all hunters so click on
the present and you will get credit for having found it whichever world you
found it in... The object won't disappear... That leaves it for the next
hunter to find also... :o) Some presents will have a greater tally value
than just one point...
Most bots that are counting will be named something xmasy like Grinch, Elf,
Santa, etc. If some bots don't respond as you think they should it's likely
not a hunt bot, try communicating to another.
--> The visitors should rate each world based on their hunting experience by
whispering to the hunt bot: rate:X where the number is from 1 to 9. Nine
being the best rating!
--> Winning scores will be tallied from all the bot logs..
--> If you are a tourist you have to obtain a password from the bot. This
will assure that you and only you will get credit for the hunt (not to
mention that without a valid password, you are not allowed to hunt). If you
lose your name due to some impersonator or by accident, you can acclaim from
your old name and scores from the bot. You will not be able to claim two
names, it is checked by several parameters!
Tourists need to keep the name they start the hunt with. Passwords are
required for tourists and can be gotten from any hunt bot in participating
worlds (by whispering password ). WRITE down your chosen name and
password!
--> A citizen is, of course, expected to hunt only under one citizen account
name and number for the same reason as above..
http://www.jtechwebsystems.com/~blupearl/multiworld/multiworld.html
Happy hunting to all!

Does anyone have the older version of modeler that doesn't require
upgrading? Can you post a link for download?
Thanks in advance...

I'm having a problem with 3.6 browser not d/l the latest changes to things
like avatars.dat and terrains. For instance, I have completely deleted the
cache, closed aw ... verified that my op has the correct *new terrain*
textures ... restarted the browser only to see the old stuff still in world
.... while others see the new stuff!? Anyone know what is causing this? I've
known of it happening to one other person (I use to have to send him av dat
cause he couldn't d/l it no matter how he tried) ... well now it's happening
to me, both with new av dats and with terrains, etc. Any suggestions aside
from the standard ones of *delete whole cache*, *verify you have u/l new
textures to the correct folder*, *reinstall aw*, etc. Been there, done those
:o/

Asking for a world password is bad karma :o/ I'd like to sign up my world
but not if I have to give my world password ... I think you'll find others
object to this as well ... sorry. I can suggest a webpage pw where you sign
in, create your own pw for the website (so you can make changes if necessary
later), I'd go for that!

I just fixed the error by adding 0.jpg to my op texture folder (from aw) and
then do this ...
create name a,animate me 0. 1 1 0,astart;adone texture clr_marb
name=a,astart a
Note right after animate me ... instead of a period it now shows 0. (jpg)
.... that will fix your error in the least amount of characters possible :o}
