It's not my place to judge or condemn, that's my Maker's job. Personally no,
I don't condone those you mentioned below and neither to my knowledge does
God, however it goes on and we live with it until such time that HE changes
things. We however, were charged to Love our brothers as ourselves, and to
Judge not lest you be judged for in that which you judge will you yourself
be judged ... judgement is God's job and I don't think He wants me to go
there at least I can find no written evidence of it.
I try very hard not to HATE anything or anyone as all things are salvagable
right up until the last second. Or, so I believe...

So did I, but I came back LOL.
There doesn't offer the building, avatar/modeling abilities that AW does ...
you have to pay to submit your designs for instance. You can't just u/l what
you make and use or share to your desire ... it's all strictly controlled.
About the only things I like alot about there that aw currently doesn't have
is the transportation and pets. I do love my butterfly hoverboard and my
doggie LOL. And yes I know you can have bot *pets* but they aren't as free
moving and realistic in action as they are in there. What I don't like about
there is you have to pay for everything, if aw goes that route I'm afraid
it's back to 2D chats for me :o/ I don't like the cartoony look of the avs
but that's just my taste, some love that look ... but for me, last I counted
I had five fingers on each hand (in RL) LOL. Apparently that is their style
tho, and they're stickin to it!

How bout the fact that in build 566 you can now stream media globally. That
means you can put in the url to your favorite online station and it's heard
worldwide! And yes folks can turn it off if you have sign(s) in world for
them to do so. I love that idea! In World / Features, Sound section ...
Global Ambient Sound ... put in the full url to your fav station and rock
on!
Thanks chrispeg!!!

My reply was to Ewasx, who btw is actually talking about browser updates
(unintentionally). Ewasx ... server updates are numbered differently. Like,
I believe the current world server is 67. I have no idea what the uni server
#s are at. Referring to 495 is the build number for version 3.4 (or is that
3.6 LOL) for instance, and we are now on version 3.6 build 566 for the
browsers (what we log into uni/worlds with).
In either case I'm quite sure neither of us have that kinda moola. My reply
was about the newest BROWSER (566) update ... it rocks!
Whether or not you choose to update your uni, gal, or worlds servers is your
biz. I'm in a 3.6 compatible uni and I like it! But I realize not everyone
can afford the added expense of upgrading servers.

I take that question to mean *what has AWI promised us*? Nothing that I'm
aware of. We purchase the use of software, same as any other program ...
none of which do I think come with any specific promises like *we'll do this
for you, and we'll do that for you*. You pay to use the software, you pay
for support (not sure if this is actually in their terms of use LOL), etc
.... but no promises and no guarantees that I'm aware of.

I don't see why anyone cares what AlphaWorld looks like in relation to
*keeping business* ... it's AWGate that gets the "tourists" (potential
customers) first. Leave AW the way it was/is, and keep it historical
(although it pains me so to wear most avs in AW worlds :o/) ... make AWGate
more up to date (although it's not too bad as it is). AW could make a *new
AlphaWorld* ... maybe call it BetaWorld with all the newest bells and
whistles and leave AlphaWorld as it was/is ... what would rock would be a
multipath for this new BetaWorld in which others could donate use of their
ops besides the standard aw ones. Of course, by donate I mean give their op
to AWI (simply linking to them won't due as people can change the url with
ease and mess up your BetaWorld builds). Just my thoughts...

Whatz the matter with doing a BetaWorld being the same size, etc, more even
.... with more objects offered etc ... and leave AlphaWorld as is for those
that like that look? AWI owns the uni, can't imagine it's any skin off their
teeth to create a new Prime world? Is it? Just wondering ...

Ya but like ya said it's only preserved out to 50 coords or so, that doesn't
preserve past that? If it were a full world backup (and they might just do
this daily or something) then where's that world so folks can go looky at
it?
But I think the point is to preserve AW for those that like that style of
world ... like some don't like aw water, skybox, etc ... AW is old in that
respect (I think), but many people prefer to continue building there. I
personally don't go to AW anymore (unless doing a gift build) since I have
my own worlds to build in however I choose, but not everyone has that
ability and many rely on AW as their prime world for building. It being the
oldest, biggest and owned by AWI makes it likely the securest place to put
your builds if you don't own a world. Some of the builds in AW go way way
back. AWI apparently can't upgrade the world without loosing some of those
builds in the process. Like builds that are below ground would then be in
water as an example.
Doing a NEW Beta{Prime}World for those that want to build in a world that is
stoked with AWI's best stuff is a better option I think.
Leave AW for those that like it just as it is.

Well that's not exactly true, cops deporting *bad people* to DC would make
DC a place tourists wouldn't want to visit since all the *bad people* are
there. But the place from which they were deported would be a much nicer
place due to lack of *bad people* see? Just makes DC's population bigger,
not necessarily better. It's all a matter of opinion / perspective really.
What one considers bad others may not.

No, my thought is to leave AlphaWorld as it is in all it's historical AND
currently value ... and create a new BetaWorld (the 2nd of it's kind is size
but with all the bells and whistles) for those that want to build in the
newest available features aw has to offer. BetaWorld wouldn't be to replace
AlphaWorld but would be the successor where people can build but the world
would have water, clouds, newer and better quality objects, perhaps a
multipath using all AW owned objects as well as objects (or paths) donated
by others, etc. Being as how it would start sometime around now all it would
start out with is a GZ made by whoever AWI decides. The building frenzy and
land grabs would be intense for weeks ... I know I'd go LOL ... BetaWorld
could be alive and contain the next 10 yrs of AW building history, and
AlphaWorld could remain open and usable as is for those who still cherish
it.

Also, as advised by Paypal, visit their site ONLY from https:// (note the
*s* for secure) so instead of going to http://paypal.com (<<< NOT SECURE) go
to https://paypal.com/ (again, note the *s*). It is also advized that if you
purchase something with a CC wait for the confirmation that the transaction
occured and then DELETE your CC from their site. You can reinstate next time
you buy, then again delete afterwards, etc ... don't leave CC info on their
site.

Even paypal says to type in https not http alone. Never click the link in an
email but rather go directly to their site using https:// this is probably a
good idea for any banking or money handling site.
