Iaura, I was wrong to jump to conclusions and I am very sorry if you've
receive any *upsetting grams* or email as a result. This was not your fault
and I apologize to you and your friends. I wanted to say this publically so
that if anyone has sent you *upsetting grams* they will retract them.
The "tourist" however, should be ashamed of himself for being so childish.
And as for me, I should have contacted you directly FIRST rather than AWI,
etc ... again, I am sorry!
Thank you to Andras, Heu and Strike Rapier for helping me, you know why.

OK I've gotta ask ya Rossy ... and I'm neither for or against, I think to
each their own ... since you are in a roll playing world of *Medieval Times*
theme ... well, gays weren't *out* at that time, this didn't occur until the
1980s or so ... I believe that in Medieval Times if you were discovered
you'd have been burned at the stake or something primitive like that.
I agree this should not be happening in this day and age, and I understand
to some small degree the struggles ensuing, but considering that awrpg is
themed on medieval times I think you need to act accordingly. Maybe do some
research on homosexuality in that day and age and if you can prove it was
(at that time acceptible), perhaps the CTs of awrpg would then reconsider?
Just some thoughts...

I'm not an rpg'r so I wasn't aware, but I'd think if it were fashioned after
medieval times and that's it's theme then it should be that way for all
regardless. However, doing it strictly by the medieval book would be
somewhat complicated in this day and age I'd think. All I can say is better
them (CTs) than me, I can't imagine going *backwards in time* ... maybe
that's why I'm not a roll player. I hope it gets resolved!

Yes you are quite correct carolann :o/ but I suppose that would go for
almost everything in aw then, that is not scratch made by the person selling
or giving it away, and even then is the copyright already in effect as you
have stated.
How is it that aw can freely display the grinch avatar in Objectd' world for
instance? Or that Luney Tunes martian character ... both well copyrighted
for sure. Now they do this for free yes but copyright must have been
infringed upon in both instances just in the making of them alone. I'm sure
both were probably *found online* and converted to rwx, or perhaps some
talented individual made those also by scratch. I have a spongebob character
that someone made online ... I converted it to rwx ... not sure of the
legalities there, of course I'm not planning on selling it but may well make
it into a usable av for my world.
But yes, you are quite correct. I believe a good majority of aw is built on
such things. As you said, I doubt Imagine did anything in malice ... she
isn't that kinda gal ... and no, Linn asking the ? was not inappropriate
either ... but to ask it of one individual, well it goes much deeper in the
aw soup than one individual ...

Two things ...
1) We only see grams from TaLLan, and have no way of knowing what your
correspondence was, if you provoked him, and how. Not fair to post a one way
convo ... he is obviously replying to things you have said or grammed to
him.
2) Why bring up he's a GK? The grams are clearly not from GKDJ ... so what
do they have anything to do with him as a GK? Like all GKs, he volunteers
his time for some two hours a week ... doesn't make him God or anything, and
certainly has nothing to do with who he is *off shift*. Why is it some
people think GKs should be on their best behavior 24/7/365? Makes no sense
whatsoever! No one is in a good mood all the time, we all have bad days or
times when people provoke us to not so pleasant actions.
If he's bothering you then use aw's most wonderful *mute* feature! Bar him
from contacting you every way you can and you'll not hear from him again.

I'm saying many people have more than one cit. I'm also saying that if you
(for instance) came on aw with another cit most would likely not know. If
you have a problem with any person then contact AWI, I'm sure
support at activeworlds.com will do it? Report the Nick, and the Cit # when you
send your complaint, so if the person changes their name they can still be
found. No masking involved here ...

I've not heard of this til now but perhaps try dumping your whole cache, or

LOL ... then try loading the worlds and let aw do a new cache. If that

Please report to beta ... when you have aw minimized (just a button in the

cannot click the minimized taskbar button to restore aw browser to fully

So if someone knows better but acts unbecoming you should entertain them
with a threat or two of ejection? I, for one, would never go to awgate and
behave any other way other than what the world is rated for, I keep my convo
appropriate for any child that may be there. So why do people continually go
there and push the boundaries? Why not just go to other worlds and play
there? Act however you think is fitting of that world's rating ... you are
at the mercy of the world owners non the less.
I'm willing to bet that Rossy would have argued the fact no matter what
because he's right in his mind but isn't bearing in mind where he's at. What
makes the line his convo was taking any more right than say a gorean saying
that he likes women, women are his slaves. I'm not saying either *lifestyle*
is wrong, to each their own ... but how is that appropriate convo for the
gate with the potential of a child coming in at any time?
I agree with Mauz, awgate is a greeting place to help newcomers learn the
program, that is the first priority of GKs imho ... secondarily is to keep
the peace and keep the convos g-rated. AWgate is g-rated because there are
often young children in there ... this is nothing new! If you need to
express yourself at another more *mature* level then go to a world that is
higher rated, that's why there are ratings.

I think Mauz was saying that we don't know the history between Rossy and
this GK. It may be this GK has experienced problems with him in the past and
therefore *waiting for him to offend again* is not warranted. I'm not saying
he has or hasn't ... just saying we don't know so we can't judge it. If the
action of the GK was offensive to you then (particularily Rossyboy) by all
means contact AWI directly and complain, that is your right.

Discussing matters of sexuality should not be allowed in awgate at all.
There are many other worlds for that kind of discusssion. Although as far as
GKs go, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Some are very lax, some
stricter ... you can't regulate GKs like robots ... they're all different
people behind those keyboards ... all volunteering their time. Heck peeps
even complain about the bots and *they* follow one set of commands (albeit
according to whoever scripted them) no matter what ... even they get
complained about.

Far as I know that feature exists in all worlds ... that's the limit no
matter the size of the world you cannot travel past those coords (in any
direction).

Media file radius seems to be messed up. I haven't changed my media so it
must be browser updates causing this, or perhaps I just never noticed it was
based on visibility according to the tests below:
Here's a sample of my media file ...
activate media bcolor=0 color=skyblue name=radio
url=HTTP://69.51.121.37:8080 "KBBZ Classic Rock" vol=100 radius=500
And yes I think I've heard max radius is 300 or so. But according to these
tests it seems to be more dependent on visibility settings!?
With visibility at 30m...
Clickable sign is located at 49N 14W
Once I get to 49N 11W the media stops
With visibility at float (*about 110m* for my connection/computer)...
Clickable sign is located at 49N 14W
Once I get to 49N 7W the media stops
With visibility at 200m...
Clickable sign is located at 49N 14W
Once I get to 49N 15E the media stops
*likes this one best* but I don't like having my vis on 110-200m, I'd prefer
60m
and have the sound continue to play well beyond what my vis may be
Should media be dependent on visibility? It has nothing to do with
visibility (aside from being attached to an object) ... it's what you hear,
not what you see. I'd like to suggest perhaps a way to have media continue
with repetition ... for instance, if I have the same code in a sign 3m away
then I don't loose the sound because it carries from one to the next and so
on? Can that be done?

The object is right beside the sign, for which I have them every 5m or so
spacing. They go out of range regardless of where the next radio object is
and seems to be dependent on visibility settings. Thanks for replying
