Modifing the ini is in breach of the AW EULA (End user license agreement) as
its counts as editing the software. Some universes on are private and aren't ment to be visited by people. Each browser you install licenses you to 1 copy of the AW Software for accessing the AW universe only or which ever universe its set to. I had a slightly extended talk from bill about this. But doesn't this mean programs like AWStart are illigal? Port surfing, illegal ?Jul 16, 2003, 11:19am
Quite simpley as well to find out like with me the universe keeps log files.
Of visitors IP's etc. Your name and/or IP must have been located in one of the private universes log files and if it was your IP it may match up with your name in the AW uniserver logs as well. http://www.activeworlds.com/help/aw34/uniserver_log.html does show quite a extensive logging mechanisum. But like world server logs that shows every bit info about you down to the exact cells youve queried etc Port surfing, illegal ?Jul 16, 2003, 3:04pm
