Why not save some effort and try to correct the whole problem before
resorting to switching devices? :)

No, it has nothing to do with it... If an IRQ is being used by 2 or more
devices, it will have the device name inside the Conflicting Device List on
the Resources tab in the property window. Lol... that was a mouthful. :)
To get the property window, just click on the object and click the
Properties button in the Device Manager. If you didn't already know...
That's how you can tell if an IRQ is being used or not.

If they're ISA modems (they go in the long black slots), you have to go into
your Control Panel and run the Add New Hardware wizard to install the COM
Port. Shut down, restart, run it again to detect your modem. Then you have
to install the drivers. :) 3 step processs. Add new Hardware, Add New
Hardware, Install Drivers.

There have been a few problems recently with these sorts of people around
here... I'd like to propose a nice little deterrent that we should all use
to keep certain threads from gaining the monstrosity and weight of an
overweight hippo.
When one of these people posts, simply reply, "We don't care." Don't try to
explain anything to them. It will not work and you'll be wasting your
breath. Maybe after they get enough of these replies they'll move on. And
if not, we go to Facter. Sound like a deal?
Please, if they won't listen to the rest of us, flaming's definitely not
going to help. A simply reply like this will.

I think it's changed. It's WYSIWYG for pretty much everything, except for
some certain circumstances like spreading the code of a table, for example,
across the contents of several SHTML files, then it doesn't show up right
when you load the main SHTML page with the SS includes in it. :)

Heheh. Dreamweaver lets you tweak your code and doesn't change it back like
some WYSIWYG editors do... It apparently adapts to your tastes after a
while of using it too. So why not have the best of both worlds? :)

Tell that to the Talaban, which is going to ground as we speak. This thing
isn't over, and when it finally is, there's going to be a very long and
bloody trail behind us. Terrorists are not something anyone has ever tried
to eradicate before, and the only way to figure out how to face them is to
engage them at point blank range. -_-
If there are any Afghans reading this, don't take what the Talaban has said
at face value. Its leaders can be just as biased as American leaders. The
old saying is true. Power currupts, and those in power may want to do
anything to drum up support for their side, including lying to the local
populace. Look at how the rest of the world is reacting and look at the
facts. Then draw your conclusions from there. The United States and its
allies do not want to wage a holy war on Islam. They simply want to strike
at terrorism and disorganize it, and destroy it if possible. Terrorists are
not Muslims, I'm told by some Muslim leaders here in the US, because they
destroy life instead of protect it.
