Issues and Trolls and Stonedeafs, Oh my! (General Discussion)

There have been a few problems recently with these sorts of people around
here... I'd like to propose a nice little deterrent that we should all use to keep certain threads from gaining the monstrosity and weight of an overweight hippo. When one of these people posts, simply reply, "We don't care." Don't try to explain anything to them. It will not work and you'll be wasting your breath. Maybe after they get enough of these replies they'll move on. And if not, we go to Facter. Sound like a deal? Please, if they won't listen to the rest of us, flaming's definitely not going to help. A simply reply like this will. -- Chris Eagle Scout, Philosopher, Peacemaker, and... Kung Fu Master? http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame1.html bcgSep 1, 2001, 2:10am
Why even write "We Don't Care"? I think people that don't have anything
polite to say to anyone should keep it to themselves. Another thing people should stop saying is "I thought I had you on filter.... You are now filtered...." .. because no one really wants to read who you are filtering either. BCG [View Quote] kahSep 1, 2001, 10:37am
those "I don't care" posts are getting annoying as well...
KAH PS. better way of doing it: mark it read without reading... [View Quote] tony mSep 2, 2001, 7:06pm

That's exactly what I love to do, seeing FreeAgent's ignore thread is
way funky. |
