Opening of Therapy World 4 November

Nov 4, 2000, 8:04pm
leave it to one of Eeps buttboys to ruin that post.
This is an excellent idea, many ppl who have come to aw are in need of some
social aid, from ruined marriages, to abused, men, women and children.
I wish you best of luck in helping the ppl who need it.
Hopefully ppl will not abuse this excellent idea.

best wishes
Z!

AW-inhabitants needed for scientific research

i think Eeps view of AW protrays a onesided negative view of AW.
Sure ppl shoudl see both sides, but it gets a lil personal.
I implore the students to not take heed of much of Eeps "gift" to this study.
he is a very poor representative of AW, and they are not his personal
experiences but a gathering of negative propaganda.

Way to go eep, good thing ya arnt a salesman

But keeping in light of the basis of this post was for peoples own experiences in Alpha World.
Not the historical, financial, personal back ground of active worlds and its employees, workers past and present.

AW-inhabitants needed for scientific research

Nov 12, 2000, 2:54pm
From Eep and a thougroughly quote:

"I've NEVER given one cent to COF/AWCI."

and this gives him any right to talk about anything in AW??

It should be like voting, if you dont vote, you dont have any right to complain.
God ... who is the sucker thats been giving Eep Worlds and Cits???
All this time and he hasnt given a dime to them?
I am in shock,

Who they hell does this idiot thinks he his????? I thinkI might have to take a suggestion and filter this bafooon!
I cant believe the ignorance and gall to spew this crap.

[View Quote] > At LEAST the message you are replying to (or parts of it) should be quoted in your reply. The referred-to message isn't always available on news servers (most have short expiration dates, although AW's don't seem to expire, but AWCI is flaky in its archiving, as is evidenced by the now defunct "discussion" and "awcommunity" newsgroups. At any rate, it's annoying having to click on the message you're replying to just to see what the hell it is you're referring to.
>
> HTML posts are just annoyingly large and even more annoying when idiots like Tony56 reply with a single line. His posts tend to exceed the original message's size by 5 times which is just ridiculous for his worthless replies anyway. I'm almost to the point of filtering for that fact of his incompetence alone...
>
> This is one of the reasons I rip on clueless newbies so much. If they can't take the time to learn about offsets between download time and display, and learn how to use their programs (like enabling wordwrap, for example), they shouldn't be using the Net, software, or computers in the first place. This is one of the problems I have with Microsoft dumbing down Windows so clueless idiots can attempt to use it (My this and My that, and now their lame misspelling of WinME as WinMe--lame-ass bullshit). I will continue to rip on people until they learn how to properly and effectively use their computers and not annoy the shit out of me and other people in the process. And don't even THINK of mentioning my line length because it's EASILY fixed by simple enabling wordwrap, which any computer user should know how to do anyway--PERIOD.

Its the insults and derogatory text. Its completely uncalled for.
Just because someone doesn't have the PC knowledge of another, doesnt mean they
should be cut into peices.
If thats ok.. then ppl like Eep should be sodomised by large grizzly bears.
and then hacked up in to lil peices and placed in tubes and shot into space
towards the sun.
Though Eeps brain should be kept and cut into urinal pucks for men to urinate on

Since its not from scratch, the only payment i can offer is , free
advertisment of your avs.
and some potential work on a project for Universal studios in AW (maybe,
its still in negotiation)

ARRGHH!!!!!! AW down again!

Dec 3, 2000, 5:38pm
Ummm, I'd say you are all being pretty whiney.
Sure its unfortunate that you have an event upcoming and AW's is down.
Sometimes things happen out of the control of people, sometimes with their
control.
Unless you are a world owner, you pay what 20.00 bucks a year for a service.
If its AW related you yell, if its not you yell.
Maybe they are on the verge of goin to 3.1 and you would have mp3 support for
your parties.
I dunno, I just htink people take alot for granted on the web. be thankful for
what you have.

Just chill out.
There is life outside AW.

World Theft.. more to come...

Dec 12, 2000, 12:27am
I would like to protest the fact that Broadway world has stolen brick by

brick the build of the world New York.
Not to mention the support that Broadway is getting.
New York was made and now due to a difference the two who made it split
and
the owner of Broadway has taken without consent or permission the whole
world of New York, made the same world and called it Broadway.

As an owner of two worlds I am sickened by this. It wasnt a simple
copying
of themes. It is a blatant rip off.
This should be dealt with immediatly with awcom intervention into this
matter.

I am so stupified by this matter i am writing from work even.

World owners are pulling together as we speak to create a website and
petition to hopefully shut down Braodway.

Please step in and help to clarify this issue

Best Regards

ZeRo (cit#272487)

There is a wepage of full details being processed at this time. But as
world owners and users we must get together to ensure that this type of
occurence isnt a frequent one.

Go see New York world built almost more than a year ago now, and then
see Braodway!
To think that this can happen endangers the uniqueness of all worlds.

To be honest, this has nothing to do with me, I am appaled at the fact it took
place.
Sure he made the obj, but using them as he sees fit, is it right to completely
replicate what was in there?
Thats like Les Paul the guitar inventor made the guitar, therefore he has the
right to recreate and own everything made form it? All songs and written
material?

Wow, so to re iterate, this person has just said, I admit it, I dont care, and
too damn bad.
Gee hope everyone wants to visit this world and help this chump out.Maybe
everyone will "employ" his work and be ripped off too?

This person throws the term "Verbal agreement" out the window.

Is so many words, all this is like saying, Les Paul invented a guitar, so he has
rights to take (steal) everything ever made from it since. All music and
writings. Hmmm let me ponder this............ummm nope.

lol and this person even uses the word "forge" in here, as in forgery.
The so many times he asked ppl to get on an object path to take his stuff for
him.

this makes me sick,
Hope my world theme and my world is safe from this person.

Maybe he'll start to steal Hole and A'tuin next! and take credit for those too

Gor is as you have it is a hobby,. A hobby
And I like you dont have much liking for Gor, but they dont bother me,

Well and I sure as hell dont believe in Gor, but some ppl could say
Christianity is based on a work of Fiction and people adopted it as a
way of religion.
Case is, they (Christians) are the majority.
Scenario is, as a majority, and moraly we believe salvery is wrong,
(which it is).
If slavery was a natural occuring thing, then all other animals on the
plant would do it.
I cant quote what Goreans believe cause i havent read up on it.
But right or wrong... I dont like it. I dont believe men or women should
be sworn to anyone service sexually or physically in any way.

and If I believe it, you all should too

Holy Crap Loco were you drinkin with your slave bitches last night???
God I have to requote myself to show you what i said,

I said...Well and I sure as hell dont believe in Gor, but some ppl could
say Christianity is based on a work of Fiction and people adopted it as
a way of religion.

Note the "SOME COULD PEOPLE SAY" - Not ZeRo SAYS.

Now one of yours,"

5) You seem to be equating Gor with religion. That's yet another
misconception that I tire of having to counter."

If you have read any of my past posts you will see that I have said
straight out, I KNOW its NOT a religion.

You ob

no no , I'll let it go. You dont need anyone to tell you what to do, or
the people you gather amongst.
Go play.

what the hell happened to all the messages in "beta"??

Dec 15, 2000, 4:44pm
Before I began working in Motion Capture for Electronic Arts, I worked
in Quality Assurance.
Closed Beta Testing is a must, especialy when dealing with a program as
this.
The last opened Beta , they had people just running out and grabbing the
3.0 without the proper requirements. People wouldnt read the
documentation, just go and get the new beta and fail, and not understand
why.
Then post issues on the New Groups confusing people at Aw because they
didnt know the configs of all these Users.
These "Bugs" need to be properly written so that aw understands the
nature of the problems.
For instance.
What happened (short summary, then Full description)
What config does user have. (full details)

Entered AW and avatars had big heads.
-Ran AW V.__ with default settings ( no changes).
-As Avatars loaded in noted all have bigger heads.

PII 400 128 mb RAM
Voodoo II
Win 98
(more details as possible)

I think the beta NGs got way out of hand, and it wasnt even worth while
for them to look at.
What with general complaints, peoples two cents worth, and flames and
fights. This doesn help AW any.
They need to know whats going on.

I dont agree that they should have wiped the beta group, i think it may
have relevant answers to some pples issues.

But it does definitely need an overhaul, and some procedure and protoca;
added to it.

Z!

[View Quote] > Why? If the beta is public, the people that download it are mostly not going to submit bug reports at all... They download it so they can use it. The point of releasing a beta is to make sure it works before unleashing your creations on the world. It's not "who deserves to and who doesn't", it's "who can help us find bugs?".
>
> Once the closed beta testing is done, the beta will be available to the general public. This allows for the more obscure bugs to be found.

what the hell happened to all the messages in "beta"??

Dec 15, 2000, 9:27pm
I'll reply to this:

So Eep, What are you goin to do about it?

[View Quote] > There were FAR more messages about bugs and their workarounds or just discussions about other things. It's not like Roland has been participating in the newsgroups lately anyway so for him (or some braindead AWCIer) to just all of a sudden wipe it without warning and then not give an explanation is just YET another example of how AWCI doesn't give a SHIT about the people who actually use and care about AW's future. Rick and JP do NOT deserve to be managing AW; they have CONTINUALLY proved inept at managing and interacting with its community and listening to what we want.

Good god! Eep used a wrestling term????
WTF?

[View Quote] > I swear it must be the influx of Juno twits, but this newsgroup has been getting a lot of shit lately. Wise up or I'll lay the smack down on you!
