This is totally off topic of aw related issues, but i am in a total bind
here, and need some decent brains to work for me. I am making a cd rom, which i want to open a web page when inserted. Pretty easy huh? just like open=whatever.htm ? Wrong. Its not an exe, its just a Html file i want it to open. I have killed off 7 disks, oh wait 8 just remembered the one i turfed into the yard. If anyone can help, please email me directly, no need to clutter up the newsg with stuff not pertaining to aw. thanx for your time please help Z! -- Chris Waddell dmonix at home.com www.dmonix.net berserkerDec 5, 2000, 2:25am
zero,
Not sure if this helps but aren't most cd's set up to run automatically by an autorun.inf file? maybe you can make your own...they are after all text files... H.Hickey locodarwinDec 16, 2000, 4:54pm
The autorun.ini file will not accept non .exe files for execution or
viewing. There are, however, programs you can download (which are .exe files) which can in turn load up webpages, and various other types of files. Do a search for "autorun.ini" in your favorite search engine. -Locodarwin [View Quote] zeroDec 16, 2000, 5:58pm
Thank you, I managed to get it right in the end, and my proposal is now
in the hands of Universal Studios. Z!
