object number request

Jun 9, 2003, 1:47pm
yeah, generally speaking it's just plain easier for a bot to do all that
with an object name, since the number changes every time you change the
object

for that matter, add shift/fly as actual rights which you can give instead
of a checklist :-) perhaps even separating the two

Re: Browser Build 491

no :-) adding them to the world rights list, the same as eminent domain,
eject, public speaker, enter, build, ect

Re: Browser Build 491

Jun 10, 2003, 3:22am
ah, I meant making them separate rights. generally when I've thought of
making those rights, I was thinking of putting fly/shift down as a single
right, however, I was thinking out loud in saying making them two rights:
fly as one, and shift as the other :-) sorry for the confusion

Sky coronas

Jul 5, 2003, 9:06pm
that would be pretty easy to do, I imagine, the only run in would be that
the corona in the sky represent the light source, so it would be laggy to do
multiple light sources, I imagine

Console Messages

only people with a CT ppw can send console messages... so, if you are the
owner of a world, that's how you control it :-)

We need more security features!!!

Aug 7, 2003, 9:27pm
simply being cautious with your ppw and other passwords, as well as changing
them often are very simple solutions to the fear of security leaks :-) As
for me, I give my ppw out to very very few people, and generally they are
people I've known for a year or two. Here is the deal, just simply be
careful! That's all that you have to do, and you don't really need to worry
about ppw security stuff, at least privately. This stuff would come in
useful with groups like the Guides, TP's, or such in AWTeen, or with the
peacekeepers and gk's

actually, it does do dimness. The default brightness level is 10, I think,
so if you set it lower than 10, it gets dimmer

A swear filter...

Sep 9, 2004, 3:32pm
I know that there are bots out there that do that, they often times aren't
very effecient, but you can simply hide the chat text in a world, then
have the bot broadcast the chat messages it receives, after modifying it
how you wish. I haven't personally made one, but it isn't too hard to do
:-) I know you can make a very basic preston that will eject for bad
words, even before you start getting into chatbot sort of stuff :-) just
tell the preston that if it hears anyone say a certain word to remote
eject them...

PPW Management

Not really... I suppose it would depend on what you need ppw's for, which,
in many cases it would be handy :-) but, if they don't add it, telepass is
the next best thing :-)
