Well from me I think aw has been thoughtfull to what the community has said.

As the mongers of doom and despondancy have tried to make us beleave aw is a
big bad monster that could not care what happens, let them take note..

Lets see how many doom merchants say "sorry" we where wrong, and how many
worlds that ran at the first sign of price increase to other places, now see
what a lot of world owners stood by, just by waiting..

Hi all

Just to let all know Linn and myself have finished the Valentine card
selection in the JPG yards.

We have many selections to pick from and many theames from Victorian to
animated Humorous cards.

If require other formats, they are availble ans the yards are very extensive
and cater for all the community..

hummodd must be new uniserver software.

I used to have a world in another aw based Universe and a cit using cit1
privs was caught in this Red world and was ejected for life, he just came
back 5 times to listen into the debate that was going on at that time.

This person was only found to be using cit1 privs when a complaint was
submitted to aw for investigation and the cit was found to be using cit1
privs legally..

As such could not be included in any ejection list as cit1 has full rights
to do and go anywhere they like.

I thin all hosters and world owners need some clear words here.

Are you saying activeworlds.corp. client is insecure?

Are you saying world servers have been compromised?

This is a very serious situation for all world owners and hosters

If my worlds and paths have been compromised I shall close all untill all
pwds have been changed.

I have requested from aw.corp a def statment on this issue to make sure your
facts are true.

Just to thank Andras and Daphne for hosting yet another great "Hunt", also
to those that contributed the wonderful prizes.

Although I had a small part in this event the vast praise must be to the
above mentioned people who over the years have given there time and their
money to provide something that many who participated in the egg hunting
enjoyed just for the fun.


Many times over the hunting times Storage exceeded AW in terms of members
within that world, I'm sure tourists and citizens who attended the hunting
would also like to pass on their thanks to Andras and Daphne.

I experienced many forms of the community spirit during my time acting as
host from many cits and tourists and would like to say thanks to all of
them..


Again thanks Andras and Daphne for organising another great hunting session.

As mentioned in the NG during the week we have moved out hosting to our own
servers (not cable or dsl)

In order that all users that may have the old URL's at easyspace.com (the
low life's) we have put all new url's on a web page.

You can access this page on:http://www.avrquest.co.uk/newip.html

Instructions are placed on this page to insert the new url.

We apologise for this inconvenience to all users of the yards and hope the
people responsible are happy with the trouble caused to aw members.

Again now that we have own server this situation will never happen again to
disrupt the yards and the members of aw use of them.

Well if Roland is leaving aw, I think we, no matter what his reasons behind
it should wish him ever success in whatever venture/area he is wishing to go
into.

AW will be a smaller place without his answers to telegrams and questions
when we had need of a good response.

Universes in aw or the Newsgroups.

No one has said any other universe is a evil corporation. The point people
are making is the newsgroups are not a place to advertise Universes.
Although this was a individual act and in no way any reflection on any
Universe or their dealings.

In fact I started my activeworlds type environments in ow and have always
held a respect for it.

As you might not be aware, when the new pricing policy arived on the aw
membership door, we saw numours indivduels shouting all over aw about some
Universes are better and more friendly. Some have even followed aw lead and
increased membership fees, although not as much. You pay for what you
receive as the saying goes.

I think many would wish to see any Universe prosper and this would have the
effect of increasing revenue for aw as well.

We just state the newgroups and aw ground zeros are not the place to
advertise.

The sense of the community is one that comes togather when attacked, in this
case and John's message has shown how strong the community has become this
year.

The only incedence I have heard of this happening was not in aw but another
Universe.

When I enquired deeper into is subject it was mentioned that this may be
possble if a world was self hosted. In this the whisper or telegram would
have to travel throught the worldserver to uniserver and then back to world
server to the other person.

In this perhaps not a cracked client but a cracked world server is being
used. Since I heard this I never send anything i do not want a third party
to hear vai client. I sent by another IM system.
