AFantasy contest... are the judges visually impared?

Nov 1, 2004, 12:12am
hmm, well i personally think she has the right to be angry and eject you
guys if you were complaining non stop. she was doing a nice thing, so
doesn't deserve that sorta attitude (unless it really was staged, by her). I
mean, honestly, what would you do in her position? and don't bullshit and
pretend you would be all calm, and discuss it, or whatever, because it's the
way things work, you don't rejudge a competition becuase a bunch of people
are unhappy with the results. you just get diffrent judges next time,

Spam originating from these newsgroups?

Nov 5, 2004, 6:14pm
guess the fbi are wrong then >_< like, where it says "Hajj" is one of his
aliases...ya, emm, no. "hajj" is like a title really, not a name. You call
older people hajj as a form of respect...not bothered to explain what it
means.

another thing..the caution section:
"
CAUTION
USAMA BIN LADEN IS WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE AUGUST 7, 1998, BOMBINGS OF
THE UNITED STATES EMBASSIES IN DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA, AND NAIROBI, KENYA.
THESE ATTACKS KILLED OVER 200 PEOPLE. IN ADDITION, BIN LADEN IS A SUSPECT IN
OTHER TERRORIST ATTACKS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD."

emm, what about september 11th? O_o
well see, they didn't get everything right now did they?

Spam originating from these newsgroups?

Nov 5, 2004, 7:18pm
lol, yes, thats it, i don't like it when someone else is correct. well damn,
there goes my theory on everyone else in the whole of the world being a
total idiot...
and damn, well, if someone is american, no way in hell im gonna let them
think they're correct!
ok, first off, josh corrected orb, you corrected josh, and so, i corrected
you, nothing special about it, i agree with josh on the spelling.. hell, if
someone who was ethiopian posted the same thing, i would have replied with
the same thing, so get over it!
next, yes we were talking about his name, but i was showing that the site
obviously hasn't got it's fact right, and probably hasn't been updated in
awhile.
next, "THEY" might call him hajj, but "THEY" probably call every other one
of the high figures hall.
and i like to argue? this is the only thing i've argued about on the ngs in
god knows how long!
know, is it just me, or are you the one who loves arguing with
people?....way before you totally absorb something. it's like you do not
like it when someone else (especially an educated arab) is correct.
Get rid of that grudge you're holding onto....he, he, he, he

wow, you're probably the most unpopular person (to people under say, 21) in
activeworlds. congratulations. should have just let it go, you're being
really immature about it.
p.s: Don't generalise!

maybe it gets the minutes and secodns from the server, and the offset, then
the hours calculated by adding the offset, to your offset from gmt, plus
your time, or soemthing like that?

-SWE

Nov 21, 2004, 11:03pm
or no wait! aw calulates your offset from when you first sign in into aw,
then it's saved, and updates according to your system time! would make alot
more sense that!

AWTeen Ejection

Nov 22, 2004, 11:12pm
hmm, i have to agree, that eject was unjust O_O shouldn't eject people for
messing around, it's awteen after all, teens are ment to screw around, gotta
learn to take things lightly in there, and relax..
definatlly shouldn't eject someone for something he's already done, and been
ejected for, just like you can't put someone in jail for longer, after
they've already served thier time.

Nov 24, 2004, 11:15pm
Well, assuming you're planning to make this in activeworlds, then can't have
voice. not sure about adobe atmoshpere, but if you're talking about
atmosphere, shouldn't be posting about it here in the first place! it being
competition and all :)
for objects, i would suggest using 3ds max. it comes with tutorials, so
should be easy to get you started. it's just pricey, if you're planning to
actual pay for it that is.

Nov 25, 2004, 12:54am
lol, ya probably. not to mention how easy it would be to cheat.
but then again, with the video capabilities, could actually be done for
general tutorials, but wouldn't really make a diffrence wiether it was being
taught in activeworlds, or just using windows media player.
ooo, unless they were teaching emm, architecture! :)

nope, it's still got some competition in it O_O
some things you can do in both. like if you wanted to create a tour of a
sayyy, building, or school, or stadium, or whatever, could be done in both,
so it's competition!

A very serious article regarding hacking.

Nov 28, 2004, 7:55pm
lol, ya, the links are the greatest..some of the ironies:
-trigger locks" links to an anit trigger lock site
(http://www.jpfo.org/triggerlocks.htm)
- "vital internet services" links to netscape
(http://home.netscape.com/)
-"betrayed the principles" links to bill clintons white house page!
-"integrity" links to george w bush's whitehouse page!
-"denials" ends you up with a 404 error page
(http://www.capitolhillblue.com/July1997/textofjul4.htm)
and finally, the quote:
"Your child's future may depend upon it. Hacking is an illegal and dangerous
activity, that may land your child in prison, and tear your family apart. It
cannot be taken too seriously. "
emmm, cannot be taken too seriously? :) so ya, just chill, don't take it as
something serious!

now i'm guessing someone actually wrote it who was either serious, or not
very god at making sarcasim very obvious O_O.

and emm, just one thing:
"Any father who has had a seventeen year old daughter attempt to sneak out
on a date wearing make up and perfume is well aware of the effect that
improper influences can have on inexperienced minds"
what 17 year old DOESN'T wear make up and perfume? especially on a date!
especially perfume!

Well, i personally do not have my parents decide what i read, play, watch,
do, or who i hang out with(well, who i hang out with, and what i do, to a
certain extent, assuming i'm not chilling with cocain dealers and killers,
and getting arrested), and would never think about doing that to my kids
(assuming i end up with kids) and i think any parent who does, is over
protective, and just gonna srew up thier children... Gotta be independant,
gotta learn for yourself. just need a bit of guidance.
