VRT time never changes. To understand VRT time check out this site
http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/8382/zone.htm
I used to be +3 hours. Now I'm +4 since Daylight Saving Time went into
effect.
The VRT clock is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. : )

We've had this discussion before :¬O
It's because daylight savings isn't universal, and not on the same dates
for every country.

It is the SAME all year around as supposed to be. Your place uses daylight savings which is something not all the world uses.
VRT is related to the GMT (which does not changes by daylight savings), so it is steady GMT-3.

yeah, the UK is meant to be GMT but it is only GMT in winter. In summer our
time zone changes to BST (British summer time) and we're GMT+1 then

For each daylight saving region, switch dates forth and back are set,
usually by government or international rulings - simply look up those
dates and then implement an if-then switch. :-)
Examples: CET switches on the last sunday in March from 0200 to 0300 and
on the last sunday in October from 0300 to 0200. The USA switches on the
first sunday in April from 0100 to 0200, back like Europe but from 0200
to 0100.

I believe the answer you're looking for is that VRT is actually based on
UTC, which is the same as GMT. Since there is no DST in UTC/GMT, VRT
doesn't use it either.
Not to be too terribly shameless, but if you're looking for a way to
make a VRT clock with Javascript, check out the VRT Clock on the AWRadio
Schedule page (http://awradio.com/schedule.htm). If you need any help
understanding it, gimme a gram. :)

ok that's weird... i always thought VRT was on the server? My time is 1:04AM
now and VRT says 11:07PM... shouldn't it be 11:04PM so it's in sync with my

maybe it gets the minutes and secodns from the server, and the offset, then
the hours calculated by adding the offset, to your offset from gmt, plus
your time, or soemthing like that?

or no wait! aw calulates your offset from when you first sign in into aw,
then it's saved, and updates according to your system time! would make alot
more sense that!

It is, but only when you log in.
Displayed VRT = Current Clock Time + (Uni Time Attribute - Clock Time at
Login)
VRT is correct at login, from there on it is treated as an offset.
