because, em, even if the company goes broke, and files for bankrupcy, or
whatever, the software itself, will still have copies which exist on peoples
computers, so it will still be around. So, all someone would need would be a
cracked uni server to get thier own, non- updated activeworlds running :)

lol, they make every future release of AW sound good, usually don't have
half the cool stuff though.
Well, i doubt AW would end up bankrupt soon, but sooner or later, it will

but it's hosted on thier servers, so it's diffrent i believe. isn't that
pretty much the same reason napster got shut down? even though they don't

deleting worlds like the 13th, godzilla, etc would be silly. its still a
place to visit, and explore, and helps make activeworlds slightly less dull.
it costs alot to keep all those pointless historical sights (not the major
ones, but the ones no one really sees much) but they still have em, why?
because every little helps.

nothing personal, but that came off abit, selfish. you'd still be able to
communicate, you could type. im sure most people wont be voice chatting most
the time anyway, i know i wont, don't like it much really, look like an
idiot talking to my computer, but still, would be wrong not to put a certain
feature just because of a few people. if that were the case, what about
colorblind people or all other types of disablilites? what about the people
who can't recognise objects, or recognise faces(ok, doubt there are any of
them in aw but saw a program about it on tv!) dont see them taking off the
whole 3d feature thing, and having signs with what each object should be
(presuming they are able to recognise letters, not sure really). what about
blind people? voice chat would make aw accessable to them, kinda. well, lots
of diffrent people with diffrent problems, and can only satisfy the majority
of thier needs.

there are even more chat places, where they DON'T have voice chat though.
what i'm saying is, can't take things off, just because of 1 or 2 people. AW
probably aren't gonna put in voice chat, but if they do, you shouldn't
really complain, just continue text chatting. As much as voice chat may be
negative for you, it could be positive for quite alot of people...

emm, so when you are around diffrent people, who you've never ment, you have
no idea who's saying what? and if you're gonna say thats diffrent, because
you can tell which direction it's coming from, they could just use the whole

lol ya, like strike said, legion, don't take this in the wrong way, but you
don't really have any offical power over the news stations or whatever. this

well, your info is wrong! :P radio industry is increasing, as i've seen 2

god...
now, you're just acting like a dipshit, and yes, that is kinda a personal
account.
ok, in outlook, you see that thing that says news.activeworlds.com (unless
you named it something else), right above the list of newsgroups? click on
it. there, thats how you downloads messages before reading them. you can
CHOOSE to either download all the messages, or just the new ones, or, just
the headers (which is kinda pointless), after you set it up, you click on
synchronise account, and voila..
oh, and the check box thingies, check the newsgroups you want to
synchronise...
yes, Anduin is the guy who used to run USWF, but i really don't see how you
could have possibly seen what he was saying to be a personal attack.
and if you don't care, then most people will just end up emm, well, putting
you on thier "list". you might not want that.

Hey, i need help setting up my home network. just got a wireless router,
it's netgear DG834G, and well, using aol as my adsl isp, but problem is,
that i can't get msn messenger working, or msn.co.uk from internet explorer,
even though it works from aol browser. anyone know how i can fix this? oh,
it;s got a built in firewall, the router that is, anyone know how i can
disable it? tried, but couldn't, and the website isn't much help.
Thanks

ok, i personally, am not E N Z O, but i'm guessing they wouldn't let you
change the actual world, rick's, because it's based on the movie casablanca
(sp?) and i didn't see the whole movie, but pretty sure they didn't have a
dance hall :) rick's is like the cafe where they're always chilling, in the
movie that is :)
