Thanks for the kudos. As far as 498 goes, if it's an official release then
aw should keep the link on their site since not all can use 3.5 version.
I've got 498 too btw ... if ya don't get it, I can send it to ya also...

That's great Linn, so do I ... but if you had a paypal *donation* option,
and I was in the mood I just might click it as a way to thank you for all
your hard work & time. So I guess a verbal *thank you* will hafta do for you
at this point. BTW your doll rocks LOL. Thank you!
As for me I have put a paypal donation (gift) button on my site. And since
both me and my hubby are currently out of work any gift would be
appreciated. At this point I'll be lucky if I don't have to close my world
in two months cause of lack of funds. And unfortunately I've recently
learned that someone DID have to close his world, someone that has been a
pillar in the aw community. I won't mention names but it's a dang shame to
see it happen. In another couple of months he'll have to leave aw uni as his
cit expires once again. No point in saying WHO he is, most should be able to
guess ... my point is it should never have come to this for him, not with
what he's *given freely*. Perhaps he should have charged, I'm sure his work
is established enough that he very well could have done so, he chooses not
to and has a donation button on his site as well. I'm not saying for this
individual *we the people* owe him, although we probably do, but surely AWI
can afford to give him free cits and a world to play and test in. OK I'm
ranting now...
As for me, some folks like what I've done, some don't ... the option is
there if they choose to use it. I think having that option allows people to
give if they want to and can afford to. As a matter of a fact I have it in
my world also ... I've never gotten any donations and that's fine too, I
just give people that option. I even had someone tell me it should be on my
site (it wasn't before, was only in my world on a sign) ... so there it is.
At some point in time I'll be good enough at modeling to charge, as others
do, and I should. For now I'm *learning* and that stuff is free.
Heck if I were better off than I am now and had money to burn, I'd donate to
some that I should have like XeLaG, Drac, and others that give and give and
give.
Just my 2cents.rwx ...

Awww Builderz, that was sweet of you, thank you. My post was not meant to
tout my problems ... others are worse off than I am I'm sure. It was meant
to say that some are legitimate to ask for donations even tho what they give
is given freely ... just to say that if you wanted to give a gift and you
could afford it ... those that put such links on their site or work would
probably appreciate it.
I do have faith that this is just a rough spot in the road for us, and have
hopes that it will pass soon. I can think of many more aw cits that are in
my same spot in the road, or shall I see we're in the same boat, I only wish
I could do for them as you have done for me.
Again thank you sooooo much for your kindness! Blessing to you...

To my knowledge Mars world is owned by AWI, Veger is a cit and chooses to be
in Mars and does a bangup job there! However, I *think* objects have to go
through AWI before they are added to any of their worlds. That can take
months as they apparently accumulate many objects, review them when they
have time and when they get around to it they u/l and change the registries.
Certain cits are allowed to *watch over* the worlds but I don't know who
exactly has the *power of u/l* for Mars specifically ... or any other AWI
owned world. I think it's been almost two years since AlphaWorld OP was
updated with new objects? Not sure on that either tho LOL.
I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will jump in and correct me. Another public
building world you might try is America! Take care and great to see you in
my world! Hugzzz

I have some problems with it....
1) I'm continually loading the world that I've already loaded. Load n load n
load? Is their a problem with caching?
2) Seqs stop all of a sudden and for no apparent reason, the only way I can
correct it is to reboot browser, and then after awhile it happens again.
3) MP3 and other songs are intermittent at best, they no longer play
smoothly like they use to. Choopy music is no fun to listen to.
4) Can you please open beta group to further discuss these issues and allow
some time for the general community to comment? Personally I asked a few of
you AWI owners to add me to beta, you didn't ... I don't understand why 3.6
is considered final release when only a handful have tested it. I could
access beta group for one day (yesterday) but now I'm off again?
I'm back on 3.5 (532) until I get some answers...

The problem isn't the handful of testers, the problem is that 3.6 didn't go
into open beta, and I still cannot get into beta to post my problems. Why
have a beta group if it's only open for a few? I'm not the first to complain
about this and I'll be I won't be the last! Alpha testing is for the few ...
beta testing is for the masses!

Is there a difference in between the upgrade and the download version? I've
not heard? Yes I have T&L checked. I still think this version should be
tested by the masses, I'm not the only one having issues.

Alex there is no reply to that email. One does not know if it has been
received or acknowledged. Open beta is what you do before you do a *full
release*.

Exactly Eep ... what is the point of a beta NG if only the *choice users*
can access it??? Since I get no replies to my email to beta at then I have no
idea if they got it or not. Also, why should we email if we have a beta NG?
It's nice to be able to see that others are having the same issues as you,
and now and then AWI does answer posts. If their policy on using the beta NG
has changed it would be nice to know that!? If I'm not allowed to use it
(beta NG) then I might as well remove it right?
