yeah but European time isn't the same as Australian time, India time, or
Japan time. Since there is so much diversity in AW, you need to remember that at some point some of these people go to school, work or sleep, not to mention other important RL things they do when YOU are logged on. ;-"D [View Quote] Heres to blubean!Jun 15, 2004, 8:27pm
I totally agree. Bluebean you ROCK!!!!!!!! Without you, Lord knows where I

Whoa!!! I didn't know I fell under either category!!! I guess I do, since I was raised using that date system all of my life, as an American. Hmmmm..... I suppose my parents, grandparents and great grandparents were also hybrids or LSDers. I guess we Americans are morons too cus we don't use the metric system as often as the rest of the world? And I thought you were a nice guy Alex. >_< So, I suppose saying "Today is June 15th, 2004" is incorrect. Oh well. Old habits die hard. Oh I believe we DO understand that hon! However, if, for example, a person
who is involved with the Gorean lifestyle in Real life is among regular people in real life, I would imagine (and am hoping) that that person would not use a perverse name in public (such as "BigDick" or "WetPussyCat") and would not carry out the slavery thing in public either. Same goes for a DMSM type of person in real life. Is it THAT much to ask that they consider the preferences of the general public and also consider how many young kids are using AW these days. I don't give a patooie about how much kids probably know anyway today. All I'm saying is that MOST of them "should" not be subjected to adult content on the web, whether they know it or not. The adults who object to these lifestyles are being prudes at all. They are just trying to maintain some morals online. Somebody has to do it. The world is screwed up enough already. ;-"D [View Quote] G rated areas and Nicks.Jun 22, 2004, 2:41am
Hello. Nice to meet you too. What country are you from and how long did it
take you to build up all that venom against people you don't even know? Are you new to AW? Are you new to planet Earth? And finally, ...who tied your briefs in a knot? Have a nice day! ;-"D (huge psychotic grin) [View Quote] G rated areas and Nicks.Jun 22, 2004, 6:03am
Hmmmm.... Well I wasn't going to reply to this since I didn't want to
lower myself to your level. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized you might need some education, regardless of where I am from. And besides, to reach your level I woul d have to go thru the floor. Since that is impossible for me to attain, I will reply. For one thing, my Native American grandfathers and grandmothers weren't killed off like buffalo. The blood line was a bit diluted but I still have Native American cousins living in the vicinity. I also know many pure blood Native Americans personally. They would be pretty upset to know someone killed off the entire indian race and didn't tell them. By the way, the Native Americans here also did quite a lot of blood-letting on the settlers, whether it was provoked or not. But I suppose you've never met an actual Native American till now, have you? For another thing... "enslaving the blacks"... (sit down cus you might not be ready to accept this).... if it weren't for the Europeans and the Dutch invading Africa and attacking whole tribes and capturing African natives and killing off those who fought back, and keeping the captives in pitiful conditions in the bottoms of their slave ships, starving them to keep them compliant, listing them as "cargo" and treating them as such.... we wouldn't have had that slave problem in the first place and neither would England and some of the other countries back in the 1600's when this first came about. We were NOT the only country to have made that MISTAKE. http://www.afbis.com/analysis/slave.htm Yes, the innocent, neutral, Dutch did that and apparently the French http://www.discoveringbristol.org.uk/showNarrative.php?narId=221and English too. http://www.antislavery.org/breakingthesilence/main/04/SlaveShips.shtml (check out those links to educate yourself a bit) Slaves were also sent to the middle East, in case you never read the history of Egypt. (Ever hear mention of the term, "nubian slave"?) Europeans also killed many Aluit people, not to mention Pacific Islanders while pretending to trade for furs and wampum. Women and yes children too were captured and were raped and/or sold into slavery. The traders would pretend to trade riches for furs and then kill the natives and take it all. (Pssssssssstttttttt: they weren't American!!!) The Dutch settled into what we now call South Africa. Did you ever learn about the way native Africans there were treated for all that time by the white invaders? (I didn't think so!!)Shall we also discuss the Germans, Russians, French, English, and the Jews? And what about the Muslims and let's not forget the Eastern and Middle Eastern factions too. How about them Mayans eh? Oh and speaking of Barbarians... have you ever heard of Attila? Also another "barbaric" country is China, or haven't you gotten that far in your studies in primary school? Hmmmmm... am also remembering the small African country of Uganda back in the 60's. The dictator of that country, Idi Amin "barbarically" killed his own people. While we're on the subject of Barbarians.... how much have you learned about Hitler? Not to mention the people who followed his lead simply because they were afraid to oppose him? Wouldn't you say they were Barbarians too? Say what you will about us being the worst criminals on the face of the Earth since you are such an expert at Diplomatic relations and International History. You are only making yourself look more like an uneducated twit. And how the heck did you twist around the content of this post to begin with? It started out discussing non-G rated names for cryin out loud!!! How does that relate to Americans in general being terrible people? Where did you learn your "facts" or lack of them? True, our country isn't perfect. None are. We have to live our lives being lead by idiots. So do you probably. When did God make you judge and jury of a group of people that you've never learned about? And don't go claiming you learned something about our country cus if you had, you would have known our Native American population is still going strong and that slavery began with other countries LONG before America was discovered by the British pilgrims. We do not hold a monopoly on THAT terrible way of life or the mistakes of our forefathers. (pppppsssssstttt.... by the way... slavery was abolished here in our country over 100 years ago. Can you say the same about some other countries today? I DON'T THINK SO!!!) America is a huge melting pot of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. It is not made up of a specific race or creed. It was founded by people from other countries. And people from other countries still seek refuge here. I bet some of your relatives also live here. So, get a life and quit posting crap like that in here, about ANYBODY. Don't try to tell Americans your version of what you think you know about us or our history. Don't try to bash us in front of the representatives here from other countries the way you just did. Believe it or not, most of them aren't idiots like you and have more common sense than to believe all that mudslinging. Steps off my soap box, sticks my tongue out at you and throws you the finger. ;-"p Have a nice day! (mumbles "moron") [View Quote] G rated areas and Nicks.Jun 22, 2004, 6:05am

I might be a natural blonde hon, but I do "pride" myself on being somewhat
educated. More than this "commander sisko" is pretending to be! Even he makes us blondes look like geniuses. (visualizing him trying to figure out how I can be a natural blonde and part Native American too LOL ) The "research" part was easy. All one has to do is type in the keywords: slave, ship into any search engine and its amazing what one can find online. I would imagine there is also plenty of information at one's local library too. And since the history of Amistad was made into a movie, one could probably find that at their local video or department store. But not all of it was found by doing research. Most of that is just common knowledge where I live. In the same area where my Native American cousins live, there were some terrible massacres done by Native Americans on my German ancestors (settlers). And some of my family were abolitionists as well. (They were Mennonite and Quaker). And a comment to Richard.... I'm starting to believe you and "commander sisko" are the same person. The similarities between the two of you are uncanny. Both of you are uneducated geeks who have nothing better to say in these newsgroups than anti-American crap. I dont' hear you making comments like that about anyone else. I don't mind reading other's opinions, no matter how anti-American they are, but in my opinion any uncouth fool would make generalizations about another country without learning more about it first. I'm willing to bet you are the same person, but too chicken to admit it. ;-"D [View Quote] G rated areas and Nicks.Jun 22, 2004, 7:23am

By the way. I thought you might be interested to know the ORIGINAL
definition of the word "Barbarian". My 13 year old daughter brought this to my attention which proves she is more intelligent and mature than you are. If you doubt me, check http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Barbarian and if you doubt that, look in any Bible (if you have one). I also would like to point out that the source of this definition came from a British authored Dictionary, not American. And while I'm at it, I would also like to say, (quoting my 13 year old child) I am PROUD to be a Barbarian (foreigner to you). Barbarian a Greek word used in the New Testament (Rom. 1:14) to denote one of another nation. In Col. 3:11, the word more definitely designates those nations of the Roman empire that did not speak Greek. In 1 Cor. 14:11, it simply refers to one speaking a different language. The inhabitants of Malta are so called (Acts 28:1,2, 4). They were originally a Carthaginian colony. This word nowhere in Scripture bears the meaning it does in modern times. I think that's a TERRIFIC idea!!! AW probably makes such a big thing out of
the 4th of July, since AW is owned and operated by Americans hon. That holiday IS a big thing here in the states, especially in the New England states where it all originated all those years ago. Our country has been celebrating that holiday for over 225 years now. Although it isn't as old a holiday as some of the Pagan celebrations or Christmas, it is a tradition here that we Americans observe proudly. Similar to the Mexican observance of Cinco de Mayo. ;-"D [View Quote] Please say a prayer.Jul 9, 2004, 7:08am

As LNH already knows, I spent a few months in Worlds and loved the avs. Its
a really kewl idea to not only be able to customize your av "on the fly" but also to be able to save a bunch of them and use those avs in ANY world you visit. The real working mirrors ROCK!!!! Of course the graphics are pretty sucky in Worlds. So was the cheapo voice chat. Usually people used yahoo voice chat while visiting Worlds. Now that AW has streaming video capabilities, it wouldn't take much to totally blow Worlds out of the proverbial water if AW also enabled the customizable avs (even if we couldn't save them to use in other worlds) and the mirrors. If an ancient program like Worlds can do it, I'm sure AW can, if they wanted to bad enough. Not only would it attract more tourists (and returning ex-cits) but it would be way ahead of the competition. There's no way places like Worlds, 2nd Life or There could offer so much (with those added features) for the price of registration in AW. I was also a beta tester for There. It was pretty neat to be able to ride on things. But the only way to build in There is if you purchase a house object which is already planted somewhere, whether you want that location or not. I thought it was pretty expensive to buy something that you don't have any building rights to and for what purpose? So a bunch of your friends can gather there? Heh! Heck I could just as easily have a party on TOP of the ocean there (since its solid) and it would be the same! All we'd do anyway is chat and maybe listen to some tunes. Why pay so much for something you can't control? Why pay to be able to share designs or "try" to sell av clothing? Pfffffffftttttt. After a month of walking aimlessly around in There, I was completely bored. The only redeeming feature besides being able to ride on things, were the emotions that show on the av's faces. I visited Second Life once, saw how much they charge for a year and saw that for that price you get limited land to build on. That was all it took for me to decide not to go back. Same with some of the AW spinoffs like Dreamland Park. I'm not dissing it at all. Just that for 30 odd bucks a month USD, you only get a small piece of property to build on and have to pay extra for more land, which is getting pretty sparce cus its no way as large as Alphaworld. Ok..... coming down from the soap-box now. Thanks for letting me spew. ;-"D [View Quote] Statues and avatarsJul 23, 2004, 10:06pm

Since WT and Trisha are PROBABLY without power because of a hurricane
destroying their town and possibly their house, you might have to wait longer. Dunno who was in charge of the award giving, but if it was them, they have other things on their minds right now in RL (eg: food, water, cleanup, home repairs) ;-") [View Quote] AWCamp PrizesAug 23, 2004, 12:19am
Obviously you weren't paying attention to the news. Charlie was a Catagory 4
hurricane when it hit Florida. WT and Trishia live in Port Charlotte (where the hurricane slammed into the coast). Most of the town was wiped out. Many people were killed. Most houses were destroyed. (check out CNN.com for pictures) Across the harbor, just south of Port Charlotte is Punta Gorda which also sustained a lot of damage. Most people STILL don't have power restored and are still buying water from stores further inland (if they can reach them). Of course once it traveled inland further, the winds died down and it wasn't as severe a storm. However Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte lie on an inlet, right along the coastline. Even Captiva Island, which is a county or two south of where WT lives was hit hard. [View Quote] oOOo-(HAPPY OLD TIMERS DAY)-oOOoAug 28, 2004, 5:05pm
It sure was, Orb. And it was even better when ENZO and Cryonics popped in
for a visit. Onesummer did a great job of hosting. I dunno how she managed to keep everything straight. It was a great idea to broadcast the live feed from AWVR. Tallan did such a fantastic job of DJ'ing! He had us all rockin! I wonder if anyone turned up with a cit number lower than zer0? I'm hoping to go back there this evening sometime. It was great seeing some of the newer folks there too. Old Timers Day isn't just for the cits that have been there longer. Its a great way to get to know people you don't normally have the opportunity to meet. Perfect for getting to know some of the newer people and a good thing for the tourists to get involved in as well which might inspire some to register. I met some really nice people yesterday that have lower cit numbers than I do, but we never crossed paths before. I hope to see them more often. Don't let your higher cit number stop you from visiting the Old Timer's Party!!! Go and mingle. Meet new people.
