I have a friend who is a tourist and a newbie to AW. For some odd reason
he's having trouble getting into aw even though he changed his rating to PG.
>_< He can visit some other worlds with no problem. I'm at a loss. I
can't imagine why he can't get into aw when other tourists can. Any ideas???

Actually........ after we changed it to PG, he tried changing it to R and
still couldn't get in.

He was trying to teleport to AWGZ and couldn't. Do you mean after he changes
the rating he needs to log off and then log back in again?

Not like ya get out much to chat either ya silly boy! For someone to know
when yer birthday is, you need to drop hints around at few locations. That
way, if someone is paying attention, they'll write it down for themselves or
share it with someone who can help them start a bday build. If nobody knows,
then of course ya won't get a bday card site, or even wishes for that
matter, till its too late. heheh ;-"p For those people who are
interested in helping out with bday builds, card sites, memorial sites, or
get well sites, I do know of some people like Dreamer2, Tunablues, Onesummer
and Cyberwitch (but she's been sick)that have such listings, or simply ask
around for coords, get out there and investigate and meet some new folks who
might be able to teach ya a trick or three about building. I, for one have
learned sooooooooo much from these builds. Things you don't normally find by
visiting a town or a normal build. I have one set of coords for some of the
upcoming bdays but I do know there are alot more out there and the coords I
have are just a small listing of people.

I got something like that about 3 weeks ago too but from a

the email:

Dunno what was in the attachment cus I dont' open those unless I feel its
safe and if a friend of mine warns me ahead of time to expect it. I replied
back and tried to explain that since I don't know who it is, that I won't
open it. But got the mailerdaemon instead. Saved the message from
mailerdaemon just in case but figured it was some immature jerk playing

Very sage advice The Lady but I don't think you fully understand what's
going on hon. He is getting the same email virus/worm that a LOT of us here
have already gotten. He is taking it personally. It is NOT a personal
attack. It has happened to me, Bit, robbie, etc etc etc.... just scroll down
the NGs a bit to read the rest of the postings on it. I get the impression
PN just doesn't want to accept the fact that its an ongoing problem and
NOOOOOOOO... AWI cannot stop it from happening no more than Microsoft can.
So don't even THINK of emailing support at activeworlds.
PN, if you are reading this... and you probably are... it is a mass
emailing virus/worm thingie. It is NOT a vendetta against you or anyone else
here hon.

This is great! With your permission I'd like to copy and paste this into an
email to send to some of my RL family and friends who are more puter
illiterate than I am (which is saying alot!! hahaha). I'm always getting
emails from them with not only those stupid "chain letters" but also a TON
of forwarded attachments which I just delete anyway. I mean TheLion and I
run scans on everything anyway, but why take the risk??? And if I get one
more email about that "social studies project" that some elementary school
is doing, ........or telling me if I forward a sappy friendship poem to
everyone in my address book to bring me good luck for the rest of my
life.....I'll puke on my keyboard. ;-"D

yes, I got the same thing too but mine says from yahoo. I guess cus my email

I didn't just assume it was from yahoo and double checked it right away. But
it DID look like a legit message at first. Am pasting it here to show
everyone, but please note that I am altering yahoo's link so nobody can
accidentally click on it. Be careful out there folks:
