In Honor of Old Timers Day ORB and I would like to invite you to visit our
city Postland. It was founded in June of 1998 and has been a work in progress ever since that time. Skyee cit # 100056 was long time caretaker of Postland and GK ETL here until she passed on after long battle with cancer. She will always be missed in AW. The cords are 950n 443e . All are welcome to come see old and new builds there. ORB & BRO > builderzAug 27, 2004, 6:56pm
I need to try and find my old screen shots of Protag and the gang... I
still remember the yesteryear of AW. Those were the days. :) Builderz - Citizen 92986 [View Quote] > To all those who trimmed the feet of a white horse Protag swept the night > stars with...... *stardust in our eyes* . orbAug 28, 2004, 11:25am
AWEC Old Timers Day Party last night had a fantastic turn out. What a blast
that was. The world was hopping and we're looking forward to more partying and reminiscing today. Builderz if you find the Protag shots please let us know. We'd also like to hear about your memories of the way things were in those days. ..Sharon/ORB (AWHS) lioness.Aug 28, 2004, 5:05pm
It sure was, Orb. And it was even better when ENZO and Cryonics popped in
for a visit. Onesummer did a great job of hosting. I dunno how she managed to keep everything straight. It was a great idea to broadcast the live feed from AWVR. Tallan did such a fantastic job of DJ'ing! He had us all rockin! I wonder if anyone turned up with a cit number lower than zer0? I'm hoping to go back there this evening sometime. It was great seeing some of the newer folks there too. Old Timers Day isn't just for the cits that have been there longer. Its a great way to get to know people you don't normally have the opportunity to meet. Perfect for getting to know some of the newer people and a good thing for the tourists to get involved in as well which might inspire some to register. I met some really nice people yesterday that have lower cit numbers than I do, but we never crossed paths before. I hope to see them more often. Don't let your higher cit number stop you from visiting the Old Timer's Party!!! Go and mingle. Meet new people. One day you'll be an Old Timer and will be able to share your anecdotes to your AWGrandNewbies. hehehe ;-"D [View Quote] builderzAug 28, 2004, 7:05pm
The screen shots are on an old computer system which I'm not even sure
still works. However, I spent the last few hours making a rough draft of my AW history. I'll update/add/fix it when I have the time, but it is a start: http://www.3dhost.net/builderz/ Builderz [View Quote] > Builderz if you find the Protag shots please let us know. OneSummer seems to be inexhaustible ! She is PRO AWI all the way. Thank
you so much for all you do OneSummer and all the folks at AWVR Radio. Back in AWCC earlier today : We've had some great discussions about history with one of the Oldest of Old Timers, Grover himself, citnumber 43. BRO has a list of nearly 30,000 old citnumbers and the original citnames. Although Grover sprung entrance incognito, good old Grover's cover was blown. We'll be back in AWCC to create more memories. See you there ! orbAug 28, 2004, 8:41pm
Builderz!
Never stop remembering. Your stories are colorful and full of energy. Thank you so much for sharing briefly the corners of your AW mind. We'll look forward to updates and perhaps hearing more from the other cits you have mentioned. It's the International AW Tree. Thanks Again Old Timer :-) ..Sharon/ORB (AWHS) orbAug 28, 2004, 9:38pm

To be honest, I can't quite remember how I first found out about
ActiveWorlds way back in late 1995 or early 1996. However, I could swear I saw a very short announcement or some sort of advertisement on an old CNET TV show called Cool Tech (or was it CNET Central?). Both shows are now off the air, but Ryan Seacrest (of American Idol fame) used to be the host of one of them. It wasn't an ad, it was a snippet of Virtual Yellowstone. Somewhere I still have it on an old VHS probly with an old SAAB episode... I never realized it was Ryan Seacrest... E N Z O .... OUT [View Quote] builderzAug 31, 2004, 4:26pm
I'm honored that you read my history page, E N Z O. :) I forget which
show Seacrest was on, but I'm pretty sure it was CNET Central. I think Richard Hart was on CNET Central but then they replaced him with Seacrest (or maybe they were co-hosts). Do a search on Google and I'm sure you'll find more info. I remember Daphne Brogdon and Desmond Crisis were on Cool Tech. I looked on the IMDB and TV Tome sites, but they don't seem to list the CNET Central or the Cool Tech shows (probably because they are so old now). They used to be on the USA or Sci-Fi channels here in the U.S. Builderz [View Quote] > To be honest, I can't quite remember how I first found out about > ActiveWorlds way back in late 1995 or early 1996. ooooh lol! after reading the 3 posts for like the 3rd time, finally realised
enzo was quoting your page! lol, at first thought he was just joking, then thought he wasn't there from the begining of aw, then thought he was joking again, but now i realise he was quoting your page! ^_^ god, i feel just a little smarter right now :) -SWE [View Quote] orbSep 1, 2004, 12:11am
Garnet it was great seeing you there too. Your worlds Garnets, Aquarius,
and VRSoup are wonderful btw. The objects in Garnets are very well done. I hate when parties end so I've been in another program Advertising for Active Worlds for hours :) Had a dozen or so new faces show up at the Gate. I had forgotten how much there was to learn when I was a n00bie (it's been such a while / geez where does time go). Watching these new people enter the Gate it all comes back. Asking for help from the person in the bold text "GK, how can I fly?". I thought flying was the coolest thing because ever since I was a little girl I had dreams of flying (like Peter Pan or something lol). That was the bomb for me. Then too I was totally freaking out back then because I'd get stuck and I'd be there for hours. *laughs* The fun doesn't end, neither does learning. [View Quote] c pSep 1, 2004, 1:50am

This guy that I work with looks almost exactly like Rick. Very uncanny
resemblence.. although this guy is a bit huskier. The smile is almost exact though. He got transferred to my store a few months ago and I was amazed at how much he looks like him. heh [View Quote] > lol at E N Z O Out, makin fun of America's favorite metro...Then again you > happen to look a bit like Clay Aiken, spelt that right?
