I am in SL at this very moment... I am at a "yard sale" ROFL... and there is
this sprite "av" with the words "Left Click me to see my Boobs" and "Right
Click Pay to buy a Drink"! WHO THE Effiing hell is stupid enough to do
this??? Someone must be... is it you EEP?! If you are not for AW, get the
heck out of our NG's... I have been trying to be objective about SL since I
joined, but it is the worst the internet has to offer. You are a sick MF'r
if you approve of it.

Heh, well, SR, I canceled my account a month ago after I sold off everything
I had. I still have until October to roam around, so since I paid for a
year, I might as well roam around for a year. I didn't click on her by the
way... would you have? I've deliberately experienced SL to see what it was
like and whether it had more to offer than AW... and the answer was yes and
no. SL does have a great deal to offer. It has superior modeling and the
ability to share it with others easily and without much complication. You do
not have to have your own OP. You are welcome to buy, make and sell any
object imaginable and never have to pay for webspace to keep them.
Unfortunately their land prices are very steep, and you can not have your
own seperate world or universe. Also, it seems to me that comparing an equal
scene in SL vs AW will never be possible... you can pretty much distinguish
a screen shot taken of each and know right off which is which. Personally I
like AW a whole heck of a lot more. I enjoy the interface, I enjoy the
ability to create my models outside of AW and import them via the OP. I
enjoy the ability to have a seperate world from others... but at the same
time wish we could join worlds into a larger more unified structure. Guess
thats a wish list item :) In a world like SL however, there really is no
concrete way to distinguish a G to X rated area except to self police it,a
nd I don't see any of that happening there.

Oh hush up! That's not depressing at all! That's AWI's long term plan... I
mean, they are gearing up for a super huge major release... late in
coming... but that's their idea of the anticipation factor! Once they
release 4.1 or whatever they call it, everyone who left will come back, and
bring 4 friends with them. That chart will need to be twice as high and
outscope anything in the beginning.

btw, didn't there used to be a banner ad campaign for aw? Did I dream that?
I also recall quite some time ago that there was a page on the aw site with
some banner ads you could use for your own website? Did I dream that too?

If you want to do any future upgrades, choose 939 for now. However, they are
never satisfied, there is a new socket style coming out soon.

Also, if you intend to go with a nVidia video product, I'd suggest going
with a motherboard from either Abit or Asus with an nForce4 chipset,
possibly with SLI support. Depends on what your poweruser goal and budget
are.

would have ever had access to. I gave you access to every object and texture

triggered the attacks in your last grams, nor what triggered you to tell me
my objects and textures did not match correctly. I do not have the luxury of
staying home all day and making objects or textures... I have a FULL TIME
job. I am sorry if this bothers you. I do not have the luxury of building
and modeling all day like you or making money at it. This is supposed to be
my FUN and relax time. Thanks for mucking that up!

You constantly told me your plants and trees were in "developement" and I
accepted that, even though they looked great to me... but HELLO... my
objects were always in developement as well. My castle was a prototype... do
you have no idea what a prototype IS? NONE of my objects will ever be
final... PERIOD and I never expected yours to be either. Get over this petty
jealousy you have sweet heart. I LOVE your objects... period... but nothing,
not even my objects is ever perfect or final.

Unfortunately there is no recovery from this. I wish there were. I want to
be friends with you, I never didn't want to be friends with you, but then
there is also no way I can ever trust you again either. I am very sad right
now. I am so very sorry you are mad and or sorry about this. Please do your
best to forget about me and just move on to our next project. Unfortunately
for me, I will be required to replace every plant and tree in my world
before I can display it as a public world... regardless of your previous
permission. I refuse to open myself to public prosecution for illegally
using objects without permission.

Before I delete Seaside, I would welcome all of you to come and visit and
experience the wonderful modeling of the unnamed party. I will give a week
to this and hope everyone enjoy's the experience as much as I have. There
are some wonderful spots and inspirations. I will unfortunately have to
restart the world later on... the worlds renewal is up and I can not
currently afford the tithe. I hope you enjoy your brief visit however.
Please come.

As a side note, Steel is coming up for renewal even sooner than Seaside.
Steel will not currently be renewed. Perhaps sometime down the road when I
can afford it. I would like to thank all the parties that have contributed
to it and I am so sorry I can not currently continue it. I do intend to do
so in the future. Thank you so much for your past support.

I certainly will be saving prop dumps, etc. I really wish I had some prop
dumps from earlier versions of Steel... there were some really awesome
builds people made I would really like to revisit. Ah well... my memories
will have to serve by themselves.

I am so sorry for the midunderstanding Orb, I definitely did apologize for
posting this to the newsgroup... however, I respectfully decline to
apologize to you for the content of the message. I agreed to make some prize
objects at your request... you then hounded me for answers on those prizes
which I gave to you, you made claims to me that I was making prizes that
were too good for the contest and asked me if I was sure. I told you I would
have to get back to you, and then you proceeded to tell the organizer of the
contest that I had withdrawn my submission. Not only that you sent me some
very nasty grams, which you have not apologized for. Further, you now also
claim to be ill because of me. I very much enjoyed your modeling. I very
much enjoyed your company while building. I am so very sorry this all
happened. I will not take the blame for this failing however. I have
fulfilled my obligation to make the objects in question and I made them
better than I had originally proposed. Those objects are now with the
organizer of the contest and I truly hope the winners enjoy them.

After reviewing my web logs, I discovered some... unusual activity 5-14-06.
ROFL.. the day before this all broke open. My entire OP was ... ahem...
uploaded to someone. Gee.... who was it that had my... um... password...
before I changed it. Gosh... I wonder.


In any case... if anyone wants any of the objects I have made over the last
5 years I will happy to send them to you... since they are now quite free to
the public. :)

I didn't say you were the one who did it. Your IP address is 207.5.227.196
and the last time you accessed it was May 9 2006 16:15:36 when you uploaded
some files. I believe you were working on your trees.

On May 1st you accessed the op 4 times and as I recall you dumped your cache
several times that day resulting in a huge spike in downloads according to
OP logs. About 236Mb's were downloaded that day. I believe I also dumped my
cache a few times.

On May 14th neither you or I logged into the OP, but 292Mbs were downloaded,
which is the greatest download recorded as far back as my logs go.

Now, my domain has been under attack by email phishers for over a month
right now... and I have contacted my provider which is looking into what it
can do... but they say there isn't anything currently that can be done
except to keep all my scripts as secure as possible.

I apologize for making any possible implication that it might have been you.
It was coincidental.

Well, it was never my actual intention to talk "****" about anyone, but it
did turn out that way. Something really confusing to me took place... and I
agree it should have been kept private. Unfortunately what really urks me is
that there is no resolution. I know she is hurt... but so am I. I never
wanted this outcome... never seeked it... never knew what hit me. No matter
what tho, either private or public, so far not a durn thing has been
resolved. At this point I don't expect anything will be. Its as if I made
it all up... but I know I didn't, because I never would have wanted even the
inkling of this to have ever happened. I do know that if this had never
happened, I would have made more effort to save one of the two expiring
worlds... but at this point I simply don't have the heart for it. I still
have Serene... at least until Aug 13th. I expect to close it soon though and
remodel it however. It will look a lot like Seaside did when I do it though.
So if anyone wants to download the mpgs or mp3's in the current Serene, do
so now before I delete them.

Given a few weeks I could probably write such a program, but it would
probably have several bugs and be unforgiving of differenences in the
renderware standard and each users "style" lol. I am sure someone hear could
potentially write a far better program than I however and in less time.

Don't you mean banning this game would be ideal? I have this game here for
my PC(San Andreas version)... not withstanding the lengths the company went
to secure its copy protection(cus I can't play it most of the times I try
to), when I can play it, it seems rather free flowing... but thats what I
love so much about it... I can go anywhere(almost... until I earn a new
area) but I can also do anything I want... well almost. I found this game to
be quite a bit of fun... and the same with the past 2 as well. I will
totally love it if these guys can model a whole AW world after this
franchise. The GTA modelers have always had the challenge of creating a
world as lag free as possible for the PS as well as PC, and I think they
have done an admirable job at the same time making an immersive world. If
this group of modelers and scripters can possibly go beyond just the models
and make some action... I am not going to stand in their way, instead I will
stand on the sidelines and chear them on! Please bring AW to a new level!
